It didn’t even occur to me before the synopses were released that the title ‘Albie’s Angels’ in one of the upcoming Eighth Doctor audio sets refers to Helen’s brother Albie 👀

On one hand, I’m here for all the meaty character drama that’ll come from it. On the other hand, I never feel that (putting on clown make-up) meme more than when I know the series is going to have yet another perfect opportunity to make Helen canonically queer.

It’s been years but I didn’t just make up that the writers said Helen was gay at some convention or social media, right? And that they implied it back in Doom Coalition 3? I know someone from the 1960s figuring out that they’re not straight is something that could be handled very slowly and delicately, but there’s a difference between that and ignoring it for 7 years/forever.

#Big Finish #Helen #I don't even know if there's a chance Helen will ever be canonically queer or if I'm kidding myself and that's so annoying #I know author Roy Gill is gay and has written lots of gay content for Big Finish #And he wrote the ep of Stranded that introduced Albie and the ep where Helen is maybe randomly annoyed that Liv is with Tania? #Im kind of expecting him to do the same thing as in the former ep where he focuses on Albie being gay rather than Helen #but I can't fully blame him for that when its mostly been Dorney and Fitton writing her for ages and they've never touched on her being gay #ughhh I'm overthinking this.
