MOON BASE

CAT’s (electric aisha) family is from moltara, but they also spent a lot of their childhood on the space station being treated for their lung disease

CAT didnt know meko (alien ai), silver (mutant ai), or paix (halloween ai) as a child BUT they’re childhood friends w/ meko’s cousin (not pictured, npc checkered ai) who was also being treated and was how CAT and meko met as adults

the moon base CAT lives on was given to CAT by meko

HAUNTED WOODS GANG

meko lives in the haunted woods at the hotel she works at

meko found silver on the moon, they were captured by sloth troops and dont really remember anything. they work at the hotel w/ meko

sam (spotted bori), lonnie (ghost acara), paix (hallow ai), and zoe (mutant kacheek) all live in a formerly abandoned house in the middle of the woods

sam is from terror mountain, he and his broth were in the mountain during the whole ice caves thing. he came to the woods to look for his brother max

lonnie grew up in kiko lake, traveled around the area scheming, bumming around, and generally getting into trouble, until he went to the haunted woods, where sam met and stayed with him

paix ran away from the space station and crashed in sam and lonnie’s back yard

zoe moved from neo central to the haunted woods after an Incident that left them mutated they met sam an moved in, and they WERE going to work at the hotel w/ meko, but there was a kerfuffle about resident hooligan lonnie. they later got part time work at ester’s flower shop in roo island

minnie (wraith usul) grew up in the woods and lives somewhere in the woods around neovia, visits sam and the gang often

ruby (hallow gelert) also grew up in the woods. she doesnt have a set home but she comes around the gangs house to hassle them

ester grew up and lived in neo central, later moving away and starting a flower shop in roo island

petrelli (skunk ai) is CAT’s brother, he left their family home in moltara in his late teens, visiting extended family in krawk island, neovia, and brightville, then went to meridel after getting into some trouble. he met ester (disco kacheek) in nc, then followed her to roo island

max (spotted lupe) lived with his brother sam on terror mountain until his mid teens, when he started traveling. he got into some trouble in the haunted woods, and was missing for a few years before sam rescued him, after which he went to live with ester and petrelli

im putting kira (tyranian pheo) here bc he did live at ester’s for a bit after a pirating gig went sideways in krawk island. rn tho hes out on the seas w/ his pirate boyfriend

ok so the majority of my pets ending up in roo island bc pipper (strawberry blumaroo), who grew up on roo island and owns a hostel thats right next to ester’s flower shop

ester, petrelli, and max ive above the flower shop while everyone else in roo island lives in/around pipper’s hostel

rulbie (strawberry shoy) ran away from her home in meridell, and went to roo island bc it was the closest thing to a circus she could run away to that wasnt haunted

similarly, swift (split xwee) left her home in shenkuu to be a professional clown

stell (mutant lenny) met CAT on the moon and lived on the moon base for a while before going to work at the flower shop

starrly (candy ai) also moved to work at ester’s, formerly from altador

xylandie (striped bori) grew up in a cabin in the wilderness and traveled around a lot

clori (disco ai) was born in skahmet and had no one to look after her so she wandered away at a pretty young age, and continued to wander until they came to pipper’s

cindy lost her house in faerieland after it crashed to the ground, and at a loss for where to go, visited roo island to get a bit of cheer, and ended up falling in love with the place and staying

DARIGAN BAND

goedbye also lost his house when faerieland crashed, though his was the fields east of the haunted woods. he traveled around neopia to find a new home, and eventually settled in darigan citadel

poly (chrismas zaf) and apoca (dari zaf) are twins who grew up in the citadel, and have formed a band, as well as hosting radio show out of goedbyes house

trimni (christmas pteri) is the twin’s cousin from happy valley who is basically a manager

undi (checkered gelert) is the twins long time internet friend from tyrannia who moved in with them to start a band

snox (fire ai) is CAT and petrelli’s brother and the last kid to move from their home in moltara. they also met the group online and moved to the citadel to work with them

[ Gao Stuff ]

aka, Kai heard a song and now it’s crafted an Entire Backstory (further).

Warning: I write a lot, there’s some death in there? Nothing explicit I don’t think. But it happens. Also I wrote a lot so like. yeah.

Wolf Mother, where ya been? You look so worn, so thin.

You’re a taker. Devils Maker. Let me hear you sing, hey-ya hey-ya.

Gao’s mother married into royalty. Originally she carried herself with pride and poise. But as the years wore on and her once proud husband began to lose himself to his obsessions, she employed some questionable tactics to try to regain her husband’s eye again. Her figure went from full and toned to withered and dilapidated very quickly- of course causing concern for the staff of the castle and her children that weren’t enraptured by their father’s words. No words could reach her and within a few years she became a listless ghost of herself before the fall of Arcadia. “Devil’s Maker” refers to the handful of her children that either met their end to the hands of her monstrous husband; or few the few that survived and became monsters themselves. Though it was lost to the history books her name was Nona (and she had nine sons, how ironic).

You’re a drifter, shapeshifter. Let me see you run, hey-ya hey-ya.

Gao’s father. Once revered as the hero of Arcadia - he inheirited the city from his father previous (who passed of old age, the crown was passed in good faith before the old king left this realm). In his young age, Lykaon was a warrior - thinking the crown far off. He immersed himself in battling the bandits along the borders of Arcadia and Altador - learning tactics and battle planning and became a cunning General. When news reached him of his father’s poor health he rushed back and on his journey home fell in love with a young woman and brought her home with him - sweet promises on his tongue. The nature of his father’s old age truly hit him (no one can escape The End) and he accepted the crown with a heavy heart. Being in love for the first several years of their marriage they had nine pups, all boys, varying in age. The first three were heavily raised by both King and Queen but as time went on it fell to the staff to care for and teach the other subsequent six. Except for the last pup, who was almost exclusively raised by Lykaon himself. It was during the first years of the final son’s birth that the King began to change - and not for the better. It began harmless enough (good, even) in that he began constructing great libraries and calling in the best scholars. Slowly his eyes lost their luster and became wide, roving - Mad. He insisted his youngest son consume every book he came across and eventually declared he was not only the strongest King in Neopia but also the smartest. “More cunning then even the Faeries.” During this phase in his life he began to speak more openly of his greatness, of his prowess, and said not-so-veiled threats to the current King of Altador. The Faeries, fearing the worst, came to step in - but it was too late. The Queen, enraged by this foolishness used her power to cast a spell to turn him to his ‘True Nature’...But this spell created the downfall not only for the King but the entire city of Arcadia. With his true nature corrupted not only his mind, but his body, Lykaon became a warped Lupe. A monster. What is said to be the first of the Werelupes. He attacked everyone near him, starting with his wife - all of his children, and his entire city. The Faeries saved who they could (taking, even, the youngest child and holding him close as he bled from his wounds). The children who survived were scattered to the many lands of Neopia.....

Lykaon was left to drift in the deep dark woods. Alone.

When I run through the deep dark forest, long after this began.

Where the sun would set, the trees were dead, and the rivers were none.

And I’d hope for a trace to lead me back home from this place...But there was no sound there was only me and my disgrace.

At this Gao had attempted to fight his father (as a mere child) and received for his efforts a scar across his chest and face. He would have been eradicated by the overwhelming monster his father had become if not for his mother. It had taken the literal fall of their home and the almost loss of one of her children before her listless nature was broken and she ran to the aid of young Garoulf. Sacrificing herself to save at least one of her children in the moment....It was terrifying to behold. At the behest of one of his older siblings Gao began to run. Blindly through the city, into the woods beyond, and he kept going. He kept running for what felt like days until finally he collapsed. He wearily looked up at his new surroundings and turned to see if any of his brothers followed him.

They had not... He was alone here. After passing out, when he awoke again he was in some sort of cave....And he spent the rest of his young adolescent days to adulthood living life in the valley below Tyrannia fighting monstrous creatures such as the Bargasaurus with his caretaker to supply the plateau with food that wasn’t just a giant egg. He became strong, and with proper care and patience, mastered the ability to shift between his normal Lupe form and his monstrous Werelupe form.

Wayward winds, the voice that sings of a forgotten land.

See it fall, child of Wolf, and lend a mending hand.

As he grew into a fine adult Lupe, Garoulf yearned for his home...For his family, if any remained. He had watched his own father destroy everything he’d ever known and loved with supernatural strength and and otherworldly body (part of which, he had been blessed with as well). Bidding his Tyrannian family good bye, Gao set off across Neopia to return to the remains of Arcadia. To build it back up, to create a safe haven for all Werelupes (and non-Werelupes alike). To create a city of knowledge and peace that his father had once attained. On his journey home he’d learned that his eldest brother - Canethus - had adapted a his own kingdom in the realm of the Haunted Woods and had dubbed himself the “Werelupe King”. He’d also learned Canethus was being....Less than honorable with his new powers. Vowing not only to rebuild Arcadia, Gao is now gathering his own army to put a stop to his older brother who would not listen to reason. His followers have begun calling him “King of the Werelupes” as a snub to Canethus.

Neopets Trophies

Defenders of Neopia is a popular feature of neopets requiring you to battle and defeat certain challengers in the Battledome! There are currently 2 series which have their own comic strips and trophies to be won. The first Defenders of Neopia series contains 17 challengers who range from easiest (first mission) to hardest (last mission). Unconverted Neopets. Before Neopets were converted into customisable creatures, there was nothing but static GIF images that served as your pixelated companion. Since the pet poses were not constrained by a rigid structure to align with other clothing, a good number of Neopets had unique poses, similar to how Mutant, Baby, Maraquan, and Veggie. 750 NP (-700 NP) on June 30, 2021 by Item DB Crew. 1,450 NP (+1,160 NP) on June 3, 2021 by Item DB Crew.
