I do think its interesting that SU took a rehabilitation route over incarceration / death / etc but I do understand why that falls a bit flat considering the way minor villains (such as the rubies!) are quickly disregarded and aren’t given the same chance as the story’s “true villains,” especially when the diamond’s crimes are um... A Lot in comparison </3 I really think it would’ve worked better to make the diamonds more... cartoonish in a sense if they planned to redeem them in addition to tending to the smaller villains first <3

Lavos from Chronotrigger #Lavos is an alien parasite that landed on the protagonist's home planet from space. Over the years Lavos is slowly sucking out the planet's #resources and in the future emerges in its true form which is a huge insect creature. Lavos is not an Evil villain or anything like that. #Lavos is just...an animal. its acting as an animal would. it is a mindless beast who only wants to feast and in the process that destroys #the planet. but lavos' incubation within the earth causes peculiarities to happen too like humans developing magic #the diamonds are similar 2 lavos in that they're parasitic space aliens but they are very much aware of what they're doing #hmm. idk where im going with this actually. Anyways play Chrono Trigger good game
