Well, darkness has a hunger that's insatiable And lightness has a call that's hard to hear And I wrap my fear around me like a blanket I sailed my ship of safety till I sank it I'm crawling on your shores
2. gold dust woman
Rock on, Gold Dust Woman Take your silver spoon, dig your grave Heartless challenge Pick your path and I'll pray
3. boogeyman
Gonna open the doorway To the in-between Comin' and goin' As I please
4. am i dreaming?
I can't find it in myself to just walk away I can't find it in myself to lose everything Feel everyone's against me, don't want me to be great Things might look bad, I'm afraid to look death in the face I'm good now (now, now, no way), who's really bad? I choose me now (now, now) what's wrong with that?
5. meet me in the woods
How long baby have I been away? Oh, it feels like ages, though you say it's only days There ain't language for the things I've seen, yeah And the truth is stranger than my own worst dreams The truth is stranger than all my dreams Oh, the darkness got a hold on me

So I took forever to read this book. Not because it was a bad book or anything, I just didn’t sit down and read it straight through or over the course of like 3 days. No this was like a week (???) read but overall I kinda liked the story. I thought it was an interesting use of fairytales too. It was also a little darker to me which I kinda liked because it gave it a totally different feel than the happy ever after type feel. I also liked the different dynamics of the characters and there are so many different “twists” or changes in it that kinda kept you on your toes. There was one part that had me HELLA confused as to what was happening. I wasn’t expecting the last chapter. But for some reason I actually really loved it. I think for me it felt more complete. Like it was a real person’s story and that she was closing the door (ha get it??) and she was going along. It also really got me thinking deep into conspiracy theories in a way and got me really questioning human’s existence and their relation to the world around them. And I really like that with books. I don’t know why it took me FOREVER to read this book but it was also a good book to read over a week and not read in a day because I was actually able to remember what was going on and I didn’t feel like I lost touch with the book and the story. I really liked the characters too. I feel like these characters actually felt like actual teenagers.
