Autonomous by annalee newitz has a robot as one of the main characters! I read it years ago though so can't remember if it's good or not

#it was such a disappointment too #the blurb sounded promising! the cover's done by my favourite cover designer! one of the main chars is polish! #but jesus christ everything abt that book sucked dont get me started. especially the romances. #one of which was incredibly questionable wrt consent and the other i can only describe as a transphobic garbage fire #(on top of like. being badly written.) #ty for the opportunity to complain fkjgnk anyway yea worst book i've read this year.
