trying to find an apartment and I am going to start blowing up landlords. I have reached out to so many and now my mom is sending interest messages for me too, but no one wants someone to move in during May and the prices on all these places are bonkers. also, the issue I had with my TA schedule was resolved for one single blissful night and then fell apart. I have the research hours I need and one class I need, but the other class I needed is already full and cannot accept more students, so I have to find a different one and my advisor isn't getting back to me :/

How Much Do Cheap Apartments Cost
How Much Do Cheap Apartments Cost The Rule of 30% How Much Do Cheap Apartments Cost The Rule of 30%. It can be both exciting and overwhelming to look for a new apartment. The secret to a fruitful apartment search is to ask yourself, "How much rent should I spend?" and "How much rent can I afford?" Another crucial but frequently overlooked question is, "How much is my new place actually going to cost me?" Understanding housing costs and other moving and renting costs is essential for a smooth transition into your new home, whether you're looking to rent your first place, moving out of state, or just ready for a change of scenery. Renting has a lot of undiscovered advantages and costs, so we've provided you with some advice on what to consider right away. image of how much do cheap apartments cost The Rule of 30% How much should you budget for rent then? The most widely used recommendation for renting is to spend roughly 30% of your gross monthly income, or your take-home pay before taxes, on rent. You are deemed to be cost-burdened if your rent payments are higher than the advised 30% of your gross household income. You can divide your annual salary (again, before taxes) by 40 if it is difficult for you to figure out how much you make each month but you have a better idea of how much you make annually. In either case, you'll get the same result! Even better, we've created a tool for you that will do the legwork for you—the rent affordability calculator. You can use the calculator to determine how much rent you can afford by entering your monthly income. Annual Income (before taxes) Monthly Income (before taxes) Budget at 30% Max Approved at 2X Max Approved at 3X $20,000 $1,667 $500 $833 $556 $40,000 $3,333 $1,000 $1,667 $1,111 $60,000 $5,000 $1,500 $2,500 $1,667 $80,000 $6,666 $2,000 $3,333 $2,222 $100,000 $8,333 $2,500 $4,167 $2,778 $120,000 $10,000 $3,000 $5,000 $3,333   Assessment of Financial Situation The 30% rule has a flaw in that it ignores your particular financial circumstances. You may need to put paying off your high-interest student loans first if you are drowning in debt. As a result, you might want to keep your rent expenses to under 30% of your gross income. It is not necessary for someone making $10,000 per month to pay $3,000 in rent. Your monthly rent allowance should take your financial objectives into consideration as well. Lowering that 30% to 25% or even 20% might be a good idea if you want to contribute more to investments or your 401K. You might also want to speak with a financial advisor in this situation. Consider the necessary income Finding a place you love and can afford begins with understanding how much rent you can realistically afford. However, it's also crucial to be aware that many landlords and property managers require a renter's monthly income to be 2-3 times the rent in order to qualify for an apartment before you begin your search. If you are moving in with a significant other or roommate, the two of you must both meet this minimum income requirement since it is typically an aggregate requirement for all tenants in a rental. Move-in and relocation costs You've found the ideal apartment with everything you need, and the rent is within your means. When moving costs start to add up, your budget starts to collapse. To make sure you have enough money for your major move, it can be really helpful to keep these common moving and move-in costs in mind. The rules are listed below, but before signing your lease, always double-check any fees. These are the most typical moving and move-in costs for apartments: Security payment It's common practice to put down one month's rent as a deposit, which represents your monthly rent payment. Rentals occasionally require a security deposit in addition to the first and last month's rent. Remember that a deposit is just that—a deposit—and that, provided your apartment is tidy and nothing major is broken, you should receive it back once you vacate. Fees for applications Renters frequently pay to submit their applications because it ensures that only serious applicants do so. The cost can be per application, per person, or completely waived, and it varies widely. Application fees on average Our data show that the typical application fee is $50. The chart below shows a range of application fees. Deposits and Fees for Pets Because moving with a pet can be expensive, it's crucial that you are aware of all the costs up front. These can range from a non-refundable pet fee, which is a one-time expense for letting your pet move in with you, to a pet deposit, which you should receive back when you move out, to monthly pet rent, which you pay each month so your furry friend can enjoy living in your apartment as well. If you are bringing Fifi or Fido along, be sure to ask about all fees so there are no unpleasant surprises. Visit our article on finding an apartment that welcomes pets for more information. Pet deposits on average A deposit is needed for 40% of pet-friendly apartments. Deposits for pets typically cost $292. These costs vary according to the apartment. Look at the information below! Moving Charges Despite not being directly related to your property, the cost of moving can really add up. employing movers? They may run you several hundred dollars. Purchasing new furnishings? Even Ikea furniture can be quite expensive. And don't forget about all the small items you decide not to pack up and bring with you but now need to buy again, such as spices, Tupperware, cleaning supplies, and other miscellaneous items. Despite not being directly related to your property, the cost of moving can really add up. employing movers? They may run you several hundred dollars. Purchasing new furnishings? Even Ikea furniture can be quite expensive. And don't forget about all the small items you decide not to pack up and bring with you but now need to buy again, such as spices, Tupperware, cleaning supplies, and other miscellaneous items. Hidden Costs and Benefits Finding your next home requires knowing how much you can afford to spend each month on rent, but most tenants overlook the actual costs associated with renting. How do we interpret this? We refer to the extra living costs, expenses, or advantages a renter experiences as a result of their decision to live somewhere particular. Considering these costs when making your decision can help you avoid a lot of money and stress down the road because they can add up and have a big impact on personal finances over time. Following, we go over a few expenses to take into account when selecting an apartment building: Commute Time is money, and the majority of adult Americans commute to and from work each day for at least some period of time. One in 36 commuters in the country travel more than 90 minutes one way to work, and this number is rising—from 2.4% in 2005 to 2.8% in 2016—a 15.9% increase. This indicates that almost 4 million people in the US commute for several hours each day. It can save you hours of driving time to find a home close to your place of employment, giving you more free time to enjoy your house, loved ones, and friends. Transportation Another aspect that many renters should take into account when choosing a place to live is proximity to public transportation. If using public transportation is your primary method of transportation, your new apartment's proximity to a bus, subway, or bike share facility can be both a huge plus and a drawback depending on how far it is. Knowing that you have options for getting from A to B, even if you own a car, can add value to any rental. Parking If you own a car, you are aware of how expensive it is and want to take good care of it. When deciding which location is best for you when you move, having a designated parking space or covered garage can ease car owners' minds. This may not be as important where parking is easy to come by and driving is safe, but if you live in a busy city, having a parking space close to your apartment could be a big benefit. When parking is included in the rent, it can be a significant financial benefit because renting a parking space can be expensive, costing several hundred dollars a month in some cities. Amenities Some apartment complexes provide a remarkable range of amenities. Want to spend your weekends relaxing by a pool? Check. Need to work out quickly in the mornings? Check. Would you like to throw a barbecue for all of your friends? Check. Although these extras might seem like the cherry on top of your rental, they could also be costing you a lot of money. The cost of a gym membership is frequently high, and the dues are recurring each month. Access to a country club or other private pool can be expensive unless there is a cost-free public pool close by. Renting a space for a party is never inexpensive. The convenience of having great amenities at your disposal for no cost can not only reduce your living expenses and help you save money, but it may also motivate you to use them more frequently than you would otherwise. Schools Having a close proximity to a school makes life much simpler for both parents and students. It's a big advantage if proximity allows you to get out of bed before class or saves you time when dropping the kids off in the morning. While choosing a home won't affect your rent, it can have a significant impact on you and your family's quality of life. If your children attend public school, making sure your new place is in the district of your choice or on the school bus route can also be an important consideration. Renovations Undoubtedly, older structures have a charm and personality that newer structures sometimes lack. Additionally, when you rent a home, your landlord handles repairs and maintenance. This is generally true, but dealing with outdated plumbing, malfunctioning washing machines, and deteriorating fixtures is a major hassle. The response time of your landlord may be sluggish or busy. It's important to keep in mind that finding a place with new appliances or that has recently undergone renovations can help ease some of this frustration. Before signing a lease, make sure to at the very least thoroughly inspect all the appliances in your new home. Summary Don't spend more than 30% of your gross income on housing, is the general rule of thumb. However, keep in mind that housing expenses don't just include rent. Make sure to account for all the costs related to apartment renting, such as renter's insurance, pet rent and fees, etc. FAQ How Much Do Cheap Apartments Cost Where is the cheapest place to rent an apartment? What else you know about Farm Manager 2018
I've been longing for a match like Farm Manager 2018. As a baby, I took part in a ton of competition like Sim Farm, Knights and Merchants, Caesar III, and SimCity. I got into console gaming, that (until relatively recently) didn't offer much in terms of real-time strategy (RTS) matches with city-builders, therefore they dropped off of my radar a little bit. Fast forward to present day – I've be a big blow of sports with an agricultural focus such as Farming Simulator and Staxel, enjoying strategic gameplay which inspires careful planning. When I first noticed of Farm Manager 2018, the prospect of the activity to melded my passion of farming (full disclosure: I grew up on a farm also the day responsibility is agriculturally-related) with the strategy and managing normally associated with city-builders was incredibly exciting.
This isn't to convey to Farm Manager 2018 isn't without problems or possible locations for recovery. But the main incident is immersive, deep, and most important, fun. Having grown up on a dairy farm, I have a basic good sense of some of the 'behind the scenes' management that goes about during farming operations, i really feel quite qualified to determine the level of realism to Farm Manager 18 delivers, and farmsimulator.eu Farming Games PC the amount of a 'farm management simulator' that really is (notice that this game doesn't claim to be a 'simulator', that is clearly our design regarding what it's trying to reach). And in my opinion, it saves a great impression of managing a growing farming function without actually making it feel like drive. Over my own moment with the sport here were a few occasions of frustration with disorder, but once the dust settled (pun intended) I sense really pleased by the robust and fulfilling understanding how the game provided.
Tumblr media
The game includes three different approaches, which really vary the level of instruction of which is provided on the person. Campaign mode walks people through various steps in the (re)development of the family's old, run-down farm, presenting the gambler for the playoffs mechanics and different parts in providing relatively honest and quickly achievable goals. Scenario mode provides the gambler with a stretches of something else conditions to fly into that trial their power to work towards some goal in a given timeframe, like as to make 30 greenhouses. Finally, free mode gives you all the devices and nothing in the guidance, therefore which you can develop the farm of the hopes without any instruction regarding what we ought to be there performing towards. I feel the three types provide a good variety in terms of the level of autonomy fond of the player, with would appeal greatly to another tastes (e.g., a tinkerer may act free manner also effort different points, while a goal-oriented person may control throughout the movement or scenarios).
After playing through Farm Manager 18's work (which led me about 22 times) I sense well-equipped to fight the other parts of the sport tasks. It does a great work of adding the sport mechanics such as cropping (on tiny with larger scales), orchards, greenhouses, the various forms of physical then the requirements, also the multiple types of processing/manufacturing buildings. That slowly adds the ability to build different types of buildings and purchase machinery, facilitating the participant in understanding how all the aspects of their farm work together. This was a great way to understand many of the game's structure, like there are several complex menus and statistical pages that might be not easy to understand without the explanation that's given. There are some products that would benefit from a deeper beginning, then I do think the builders would do well to add in the "help" menu where the person can choose a revision on some of the very hard items, as if they accidentally secure the display describing how to perform one thing before read a certain menu, there isn't any way to get to those elements.
At times the fight did go somewhat slowly, putting us feeling as even if I need to have a velocity even faster than the "3X" option., which I left the time placed at for the majority in the fight. Normally, the "1X" (real-time) speed option felt painfully brake, also I usually ditch the fly at the max adjusting for prolonged periods – that becomes fewer of a problem because the farm grows, however, since other problems pop up and more tasks have to remain assigned. Because I reached the side in the battle, I found myself thinking overwhelmed (in a great sense) at times with the number of things that required my mind, with conducting on most speed was absolutely no longer a sensible alternative. Ultimately this allow us thinking as still the time range was rather well-balanced, since with like games, earlier steps are frequently relatively simplistic/slow-moving with factors happen to increasingly hectic so your farm/city/colony grow.
youtube
I admire the game for developing a full-year period of some seasons, however winter could pull in, especially if you get built any greenhouses or take numerous animals to take care of. At times I hoped the game would let me fast forward during winter for the launch of movement, when fieldwork acquired then here become a large quantity of tasks to complete once over. That living told, I think that seasons could be reduced a little, while I often found myself having all the subject preparation completed quite young with into spring, with the crops being willing to gather into early summer. In fact, depending on the crop being produced, you can actually grow with harvest a crop twice in one growing season, which is quite unrealistic. This reinforced my notion that the game's seasons are in requirement of nearly (albeit relatively minor) adjustment.
Not only did my ask to hurry through parts of the battle almost get myself in thought at many sites (by nearly pass on the skylight to grow a certain crop in a given growing season, for example), it also led everyone to recognize that the approach seems to have a little of an identification crisis. Farm Manager 18's campaign struggles sometimes with determining whether it wants to become a full-fledged course, or as a goal-oriented work which enables you obtain the aims as you see right, but shows you the basics along the way. At one moment, I'd already collected a handle of wheat into first summer, and when I touch the next act with the war a minor later on, it put me to help harvest to ground with a newly-purchased combine harvester. Had I not gotten to put in a store from most an hour before, I would have had to wait another full in-game year to complete the work next go ahead from the campaign. I continued in new issues further decrease the lineage, like the power to seal our generation I did expanded the dairy operations, but the war put everyone to construct even more cowsheds, put me without choice yet to remove the little ones I had made to make bedroom for a few of their choice sized counterparts.
These numbers keep us feeling so though I did very little sovereignty in increasing on the components that was created to me, with essentially punishing us instead of receiving my own ideas about how to go around building the farm (even though the entire moment I happened aware of the objectives determined with the war). I understand that the game wanted to slowly create their various mechanics, but when those are exposed it should be approximately the gambler to use them because they see fit. Many of the aims of the campaign were somewhat too restrictive for our love, and movement already gotten when a goal appeared wasn't taken into consideration (e.g., if the game plan us toward breed 30 cows, it had to be 30 new cows, despite the fact that I'd likely bred 50 by that point from the operation).
While this might seem like while I have many issues, Farm Manager 18 does manage to get quite a number of points best. The natural issue of farming, with better workloads during the growing period with calmer winters, is very evident and demands the participant to think ahead to ensure their moment is used successfully and they have the appropriate total and mix of workers (long term and seasonal) to really direct workflow. That makes you to create fashion to help earn some income in the off season, and also ensure that you're prepared to endure a period of schedule without any incoming crops – for example, without the ability to pick any grass or straw, it might become trying to keep a steady supply mine for cows (without having to buy grass or silage). Permanent employees also have various skillsets (e.g., proficient on using machinery, returning from orchards, caring for being, and more), that can offer a recognizable impact on things like how rapidly the problem of gear deteriorates before the mass of plants harvested from the field, so the player must carefully think about the farm's needs when use new workers.
Tumblr media
There is also important level to the number of choices presented on the player in choosing how to develop their farm. Need to remain fairly minor extent with put up little fields, care for a few cows, then several rabbits? Go ahead. Want to develop a series of humongous dairy barns also certain equally massive takes to stock feed for your cows? Or maybe diversify your operations and retail fruit drink and sheep's wool? You can do to in addition. Farm Manager 18 offers a large amount of building styles and meeting. While all the animal building types essentially do the same sense (get many animals, over time you can breed them to create your herd) they generate different products, and may even give into production plants such as slaughterhouses for a greater investment (but too a heightened return). These types of choices live where I am how the game really stands out, so frequently you are pushed to contemplate multiple variables in deciding how to produce (and ultimately manage) your farm. Costs/cash on hand, available area (or the price of another terrain to increase the farm), workforce, long term goals…these all come into play. Not to mention that the format in the farm and show a heavy purpose within how efficiently it works also just how quickly processes are finished. You can see your hands cause and conducting their assigned duties with real time – and also hip huge detail if you move with further enough – and they have to receive via the assigned family on the mission (or equipment if it's needed) in order to get the job figured out. That live told, the game suffers from the lack of any ability to queue up tasks for your workers and/or systems, which leads to some frustration when you look at a employee move with a tractor, get the expected implement (e.g, a manure spreader), stop this ahead (if needed), power on the discipline, complete the task, fall off the implement, park the tractor, then move time for their property – and only then can you assign them toward fertilize the next handle. This might only use an extra 10 seconds on any base with the job (as work the game in maximum rate) but without the decision to assign multiple tasks to a hand, I often found myself expecting them to return on their home now i really might assign them a good equivalent job around the next take over.
Visually, Farm Manager 2018 looks excellent. As mentioned, there is a surprising amount of detail in the "ground-level", and when moved out (which is located how I played 95% of the time) the visual quality remains excellent and ideas change visually depending on what's taking place by your own farm into really point when things create and movement – there is too a unique visual discrepancy between years, even dependent on temperature at times (e.g., snow can melt in winter if the temperature goes above freezing, it doesn't just stop white through the whole year).
Farm Manager 18's user software is workable, but would benefit from some enhancements. It does an excellent task at providing basic facts in a constructive and quite visually-appealing manner, but I am that it could be further expanded. The staff to sits along the top of the screen (that enables one to track the amount of eight products of your own pick that's presently in your storage) would benefit from including in the ability to track expiry dates and/or cost in the products, so which an individual happen forced to consult with a menu to note that information for the items you produce/sell the most. The buy/sell menu for solution is a bit clunky, as it often presents items some moments (e.g., should they take special expiry time or are in different storage facilities) but there is no option to sell only to "collection" of merchandise – this presents this very hard to offer the invention that will expire primary, with I typically found myself just going the entire amount of invention I had to preclude the inconvenience. The displays to show up when you press in anything (e.g., a shape, field, worker, etc.) appears directly from the centre from the panel, and often blocks a person through glancing at the feature in which an individual clicked. While this isn't a serious issue, having the window open from the place in the show would allow you to retain a visual connection to the thing that you are managing and not have a major part of the monitor consumed by the facts. To living said, objects to require close attention pop up as notifications then avoid an star from the highest right angle on the display until dealt with, allowing you to triage things that are questioning the awareness with ensure that key difficulties are managed in a reasonable fashion.
Tumblr media
The game and suffers from a few bugs, such as tractors or workers getting stuck while performing tasks, however Cleversan Software have been really open to player responses in addressing subjects and releasing updates in the age since release. Some points I encountered something that forced myself to exit on the chief menus and pack back to our saved game, but generally the event remained quite efficient and also the hiccups were small. It could perhaps become far better optimized, what I discovered that in spite of the full settings I wished, the game ran fit from the early shows of stem the farm, but suffered so although it was chugging as the farm became huge and the number of processes on the go increased (even even though our CPU/GPU usage remained relatively small). Despite the occasional lag in opening a selection, that took a negligible impact on the gameplay, yet I stay slightly worried this matter would turn into much more prominent with larger farms (I never catch the perfect maximum possible farm size).
I completed finger in some other additional (albeit minor) stories from the game such as the ability to repair equipment, but do this to say that I believe the game presents a quantity of realism that's believable without becoming overbearing or detracting from the gameplay. Overall, I had a great stage with Farm Manager 2018. This low enough without considering overwhelming, but permits the person to work out the way "straight into the buds" (pun meant) they step with respect to reading database and following commodity prices. That gives an excellent variety in terms of body and scalp types to allow for substantial player select and self-direction – regardless of form – while the several specific game modes provide for a nice variety in the level of prescription with respect to overall goals. The resolutions people cook when performing experience what although they have consequence, that is essential in this kind of activity. Despite several minor infection with certain equally minor pacing problems with the war, I would certainly recommend this contest to stir up of city-builders, simulators, and/or farming games.
Farm Manager 18 nails the feeling of surviving a farm. That puts a lot of data in a person also involves you to manage tons of variables – all while being it fun. Some bug places and tweaks are important, although if you're seeking a building/management game and have an interest in farming (or even if you don't), this contest will certainly protect people thought about.

The American University System: Oppressing the non-elite.
So let me get this straight...in the 70's there was a community outcry to lower the amount of tax money that got put towards college tuition for future generations? American tax payers used to cover over 70% of college costs, allowing the young students straight out of highschool the ability to work a minimum wage summer job to literally pay their entire tuition. Those with part time jobs while in school were not very common. This allowed for an ability to succeed without the unnecessary baggage of financial stress and lack of sleep at 18 years old while taking 14+ credits, which for those of you who dont know is a true 40-60 hour work week alone. All of this hard work and achievement paved the way for these kids to enter adulthood as educated, debt free, and with the world at their fingertips. Not to mention, they had the incredible privilege of not having to become a self sufficient adult in the middle of the worst economic crisis since the depression...
Compare that romantic reality to our drastically different reality today. I will use my experiences as an example for this, while probably on the extreme spectrum of experiences, they are valid and carry merit nonetheless. I was always told as a child, "you have to go to college, its not an option" Yet, when i graduated highschool, my parents grew quiet. I grew up in a 5 person household in Orange County, CA (one of the most expensive places to live in the country) in a family who made roughly $40k a year, give or take (thats poverty folx). My step-father was an electrical contractor so income was often spuratic. Anyway, needless to say they had not one penny saved for my college tuition. My parents failed to put a single penny aside for anything regarding my well-being honestly. With no car, no money, no job, and no idea when or how I could recieve a college education, I was kicked out of my parents at 17 years old with nowhere to go. I couch surfed and was able to get a couple jobs, one at a crafts store and one at a sandwhich shop. After 2 long years of working my way out of homelessness, all I wanted was to start college! So, at age 19 I applied for financial aid. However, I was told because I was under 25 I needed my parents tax information. Well, my parents never filed on time and were incredible dodgy with communication. So, after months of going back and forth I ended up paying out of pocket for a full time coarse load at a community college. I was able to work my jobs and pay this, but with nothing left over for rent or food. I ended up getting kicked out of my place, had to apply for foodstamps, and had to start over from square one. Little did I know I would have to wait 5 years before I could finally give college another shot.
I had almost given up the idea of higher education. I was making good money in the food industry at this point and had a nice company car and a great home with an awesome roommate. But then, I met a boy. We traveled the country for three months with his bluegrass band and saw 32 states. Afterwards, we again found ourselves broke and homeless. We hunkered down, worked 80+ hour weeks, saved up, and moved to Portland Oregon, "where young people go to retire". Little did we know, retire would be the LAST thing we did when we got there. Cost of living was rising in Portland, but still nothing compared to Orange County, CA. We got good food jobs and nested for about a year. My boyfriend (we will call him N) got great grades in highschool and high test scores in his exit exams, so in 2014 he chose to get back into school as a Music Composition Major at age 26. His journey is a whole other terrible story. I wanted to return to school so badly, but knew I had to wait until I was old enough to not warrant my parents tax info. Finally, at age 24 I filed my FAFSA and went to a career counselor. I was directed in the career of Civil Engineering. Having no prior knowledge of this career or topic, I dove in blindly headfirst. I chose a community college due to the fact that I barely finished highschool and did not take ant exit exams. To my surprise, I did very well in my college settings. After one year I was able to transfer to a university! Me! I WAS GOING TO A UNIVERSITY! I could not believe it, and was soo excited. I had no clue how hard this would be, not the work, but just surviving through it. I should mention here that I have a mild dissability. I have endometriosis which is a chronic illness linked to hormones, ovarian cysts, and all that jazz which can result in disabling pain and in my case an emergency surgery from time to time. I also suffer from a mild form of PTSD. So, with those alone handling high stress loads can be very hard on my mental and physical well being.
Ok, so I was a 24 year old first generation college student (first person in my family to go to college) disabled lower class person wanting a higher education. Seems logical right? Well, once I got accepted to the university, I chose to change my major to Architecture, I had taken an intro class for general ed and fell inlove. My beginning of my first year was great! Lots of lectures and reading. Aside from my tuition multiplying literally 3x from my community college tuition which did not affect my financial aid disbursement, I was fairly stress free. Now keep in mind, my partner and I are both working 20-30 hour weeks to make ends meet while taking 12-14 credits. Its basically having 2 full time jobs. Anyway, the last term of my first year came around-my first studio class. I was so excited! Time to actually do architecture! I got the syllabus and was told was supplies were needed to be successful in the class. I was also told that doing all of the requirements for the assignment would result in a C grade, if any grade above that was desired extra work had to be put in. I thought, no biggie, bring it on. The next thing she said was, "absolutely no sleeping in the studio!" Thats when I had a feeling I was gonna be in trouble. After class I went to the art store got my supplies. I almost started crying as they read my total to me: "$682.80, please." And that was with my student discount and not including all of the future supplies I would need just for that term, which I will tell you now after all the drawings and models ended up being about $2,000. That is a whole lot. These studio classes also require many all-nighters just to have enough time to complete the assignments. Many times, due to having to work outside of school I could not complete my assignments or had to do them with less craft and care than I would like just to turn it in. This year, I recieved less in financial aid, my rent has gone up significantly, tuition went up, and there are new grade requirements: if you get anything less than a B-, youre immediately dropped from the school of Architecture. So, not completing assignments isnt an option anymore. This last term costed my much less money, but once I told my instructor I was out of money, his response was, "well, this is Architecture school." What the fuck am I supposed to do with that!? A roll of Velum (drafting design paper) costs $50-$70 pencils are $2 a piece, models cost like $100 each, the list of tools go on and on. I am already paying $10k a year for tuition, ensuring at the very least $70k of debt including my masters degree which you need to get your Architecture license. And at least $100k with the $500 a month I need to borrow a month for rent. I should not need to add thousands more of that for supplies my school should be providing. And this insane pressure of pulling all nighters to get done the amount of assignments it would take us to do in a whole week last term in 2 days!
The moral of this very long story is that college is not meant for those of us trying to climb the life ladder. Its meant for the already elite. Its meant for kids right out of highschool with parents who make enough money to pay their tuition, their rent, their whole lives! Meant for kids who travel to Europe for the summer instead of working 60 hours a week to make up for the money lost during school cuz you physically cannot work more than 25 hours. Its meant for kids who can call their mommies and complain about how mean their teacher is, not for those of us who cry every night about being afraid of ending up back on the streets in the snap of a finger. Its meant for kids who can work and think about school all day every day, not those of us preoccupied with being able to pay all of our bills and being able to afford food and health insurance.
HOWEVER, even if you are like me, worse, or better, YOU CAN DO IT! I have a damn 3.7 GPA. I may only get 3 hours of sleep a lot, cry almost weekly, probably have lost years of my life due to stress, and feel scared for my health, but shit IM FUCKING DOOOOIN IT! Even though our government, or school presidents, and pretty much everyone in power disagrees, you are so worth it and you are so capable of success no matter how much harder you have to work than everyone else. Because we have to work so much harder now, we will get to party that much harder when we make it. I WILL GRADUATE IN SPITE OF THE SYSTEM! I WILL SUCCEED IN SPITE OF THE SYSTEM! I WILL CHANGE THE FUCKING WORLD CUZ I AM A BADASS AND CAN DO ANYTHING YOU PRIVELEDGED FUCKS CAN DO, JUST BETTER!

How To Become A SUPER Affiliate Even If You’ve Failed Multiple Times Before… Just Copy The Exact Process I’ve Been Using For Years…

You Must Get It Through This Link To Get Into The Affiliate Club

Let me ask you a question...
What if you could wake up one random day, say a Wednesday... And spontaneously book a ticket to go travel to a new country?
Regardless if you want to take a vacation, or you just want to get work done in a different location...
You're STILL getting money deposited into your bank account...
The money that you spent on your plane ticket and trip expenses is made back in a matter of weeks. Or even days...
Look, I know that this might sound too good to be true. But people around the world like Guy are completely changing their lives by learning how to build profitable sales funnels that automate their entire business and help them generate sales 24/7.
Building sales funnels is EXACTLY what they are doing.
Imagine Being Able To Generate Thousands Of Dollars Per Week And Generate Sustainable Passive Income Even If You're Out Doing Things You Enjoy Doing
I was recently in Rarotonga then came home and took a trip around the South Island of New Zealand. I must say it was a great time! But even when I'm out having a great time I'm STILL generating thousands of dollars...
How would that make you feel?
Tumblr media
But I just want to tell you one thing before I move on...
Most people going through this training that I put together will never accomplish these results that I'm showing you above.
And this has nothing to do with their intelligence or their capabilities to generate income online.
Actually, this business is more simple than you think. People tend to overcomplicate it and create confusion in their own heads for no reason.
To start making your first $100/per day or even your first $50/day, you have to meet these 3 requirements:REQUIREMENT #1: You have to stop chasing "guru" after "guru". First of all, you will get confused by listening to many people at the same time. Second of all, you have to stop believing them when they say that you will get rich by pushing a magic button. This is a serious business and requires consistency, determination, and willingness to put in the work every day. I won't tell you that you will become a millionaire if you don't actually do that work that I tell you to do. I have created a very easy to understand game-plan that you can follow, but you still need to commit to it. REQUIREMENT #2: You have to be coachable and open minded to the strategies that I will teach you. I can guarantee that the information that you will learn WORKS. I've tested it myself and create dozens of profitable sales funnels. But you have to be willing to listen and execute. I've been learning from people that are more advanced than me ever since I started out online. If you want to change your life you have to listen to people that already walked the path.REQUIREMENT #3: Don't lose focus. Look, it's very easy to lose focus in this industry. Everyone is telling you to do a different thing and buy their newest opportunity. This is called "The Shiny Object Syndrome". Every time people see a shiny object they ditch what they were doing and go follow the new thing. If you want to make this work you have to stick to the strategy and do it UNTIL it works. If you stick to it, your life will change.
You Will Learn My Proven Strategies To Leverage Sales Funnels + Affiliate Marketing To Create A Passive Income Stream That Deposits Money Into Your Account Every Week.
So right now you have 2 different choices:
The first choice is to go through all the learning curve to learn affiliate marketing and sales funnels by yourself and have to learn:
How to find the best affiliate marketing offers that will actually make you money.
How to create high converting sales funnels that turn visitors into buyers.
How to create engaging advertising campaigns to get visitors to your funnel.
How to write email copy and sales copy so that people are persuaded to buy from you.
How to create a bonus package to make an irresistible offer to your leads.
And a whole lot of other minor details that will have to work on to make this work.
And to be honest it's possible to make this work if you decide to learn all these things.
I believe if you really want to learn something, you will do whatever it takes to learn it and reach your goals.
Having said that, if I were to give my "old me" one piece of advice, it would be "don't  reinvent the wheel". I would tell myself to follow a mentor that already walked the path.
If you choose to go with learning all these things that I mentioned, you will find yourself losing time, energy and money. You will have to go through a lot of trial and error to really figure out how to "crack the code".
I have invested well over $18,000 in my own education including buying coaching, masterminds, live events and courses from other marketers.
So unless you want to spend AT LEAST $18,000 to figure these things out by yourself, I suggest you go with the second and BEST option.
Follow a proven mentor that has helped normal people around the world generate hundreds of thousands of dollars through online marketing. Even helped a few people generate millions of dollars.
Also, follow a proven strategy that has been tested over and over again to generate consistent passive income with affiliate marketing and sales funnels. A system that will allow you to save a TON of money, time, energy and resources that you would have to invest if you wanted to learn everything by yourself.
If that sounds like YOU, I would like to invite you to join Franks Affiliate Club

Done For You High Converting Sales Funnel
($12,997 value)
Sales funnels are basically money machines if you do them the right way. On one side you get visitors entering the funnel, and on the other side, you make sales.
This is exactly why I charge at least $12,997 to make a high converting sales funnel. Because it can potentially make you 2X or even 3X the amount of money. Plus, you get to keep the funnel and use it for future businesses.
There is a lot of work involving the creation of a sales funnel. Copywriting, the psychology behind it, the structure, design and the workflow.
When you join the Affiliate Club, you will get to use my exact sales funnels that I use to sell Clickfunnels and other program for free.
All you have to do is click one button to download my funnel into your Clickfunnels account, and instantly start using it. This way I'm doing 90% of the work for you.
This will help you start making money while learning to master the skills yourself. After you go through the video training you will learn to create these funnels yourself for the future.
Tumblr media
Done-For-You Email Swipes
($1997 value)Building a successful sales funnel involves different components. It's kind of like building a puzzle.
Part of building a sales funnel is the email sequence that you use to take people to take action and the random emails that you send to your email list.
Writing emails is not as easy as you think. It involves copywriting skills and knowing how to persuade people to take a specific action.
At this point, you might be wondering what kind of emails to write, and how to structure them properly.
When you join the Affiliate Club you will get my own email swipes that I use for my business so you can model them and start making commissions.
Tumblr media
Rocket Traffic Generation
($997 value)In the past years I've generated over 300,000 leads combining all my businesses which have generated hundreds of thousands of dollars in profit.
Leads are the energy source of every business. If you have no leads (people that go through your funnel and give you their email address), you won't make any sales regardless if you are selling an amazing product like Clickfunnels.
When you get into the Affiliate Club you will also get access to my Rocket Traffic Generation Video which will teach you my exact advertising techniques to send people to your funnel.
Tumblr media
Leverage My Bonuses To Get Sales
($2997 value)So by this point, I'm giving you all the cool stuff above but the key ingredient that you're missing to have massive success is...
A bonus stack to offer people in exchange for them to sign up using your affiliate link.
The difference between a regular affiliate, and a super affiliate, is that the super affiliate offers bonuses so people immediately sign up using his link.
Now, I understand that when you're starting out you don't have bonuses created.
So what I'm doing is for people that sign up to my Affiliate Club I will allow you to use my bonuses to help you get more people to sign up using your link.
This will save you a ton of time, energy, money and resources.
So basically you're telling people you will give them a ton of bonuses (which are really my own), and when it's time for you to give them the bonuses you just send them to my mastermind where they receive all the value. This is something I've never done before.
Tumblr media
Private Club Facebook Group
($997 value)This is a group of action takers, people to support each other, case studies, questions getting answered and tech support.
In the group, you will have exclusive access to me and this is for members only so it will be full of other members sharing ideas and methods!
Tumblr media
Extra Bonus! Lead Generation Authority
($497 value)
This is a complete training course and book on how to generate leads to your funnels. This is actually created by a good friend of mine who has done millions online!
You will learn all the top secrets he's used to build multiple online 7 figure business over the years.
I wasn't going to give this away but Its hard not to share it!

Well, I think this is the first time that I’ve written some big plan in a journal and actually followed through with it. So yeah, I did do a lot of apartment hunting. I first tried my college’s (and the local art college’s shared) sublease facebook page for students. And it was hell, I mean someone would post about a room for rent for $700 and within 15 minutes, 4 people would have already said “I pm’d you!” Like damn. There’s no way I’d be able to find a place in my budget that isn’t gone already. I was about to lose hope and just look at my college’s affiliated apartments and hope for next academic year, but then I found a page, on my college’s website, that allows you to post a sublease for others. And this website was hidden so well, I’ve never seen it in my entire year of apartment hunting. A lot of them were in my budget (less than 600), and one stood out in particular, it said “my girlfriend and i are looking for a roommate for our 2/2 apt, etc etc” but then at the end it said “must be lgbt friendly because we are very much lesbians” and i was like sign me the fuck up. I messaged them on a wednesday, thursday rolled around and no reply (i was like, they have an android, maybe they just don’t check their phones as much as iphones do), but then it was friday and I gave up. I went back to the listings, messaged another couple in a 2/2, but on saturday still hadn’t gotten a response. Sunday I became a little more frantic. I messaged a third listing, waited ten (10) minutes before deciding that they also were unavailable, and messaged 3 more all at once. and then i laid on my bed and lamented about how I would never be able to move out. And then I got a reply from one of them!!! she said it was still available, roommates are two other sophomore girls at ucf, it’s unfurnished, etc. I was pretty down to take it but then, about 30 mins later, another person replied. And suddenly I remembered why, when I used Tinder, I only messaged one person at a time. The second person to answer me was in the same complex, but $100/mo cheaper. It’s like, I already got pretty far in talking to the other girl, I felt like even if it were cheaper I couldn’t go back on it. So I hit up rose and asked if she wanted to smoke. Her me and peter looked at the places online, and they both said go with the cheaper one, but another issue was how they texted. The first girl was pretty warm, using exclamation points and emojis, but the other girl was just “yes, it’s still available. when are you looking to move?” like such a cold vibe. (yes I know it’s stupid because 100 is 100 and I wouldn’t even be moving in with her, I’d be taking her room but still.) Even though both of them said go with the cheaper place, I felt that I should go with the other.
But then the next day in bio, I was asking for more details and I felt like she did seem kind of cold, like saying “ask the leasing office” and not really offering a time for me to see the place. So I texted the other girl saying I wanted to move in around early december and she became super enthusiastic. Like she sent me a good 20 pictures of the place, and even said I could come over that day to look at the place (this was last monday). I did, around 5:30 (well I came at 5:15, then left to go to the boba shop next door, then came back). She was waiting for me in the parking lot bc I got super lost (I forgot that the numbers outside of the building is the ADDRESS. I didn’t look at the listing’s address I just read the name of the complex and went there. oops.) She seemed to be south asian, like from there but have been living in america for at least a few years, she said she’s moving out because she just got married, etc. The apartment had a style that I would probably describe as oatmeal- light brown carpets, cream walls, very bland, very 2000′s low-income apartment. But hey! I love it! It’s got its own bathroom, walk-in closet, and a huge window facing the back of the property so when I want to smoke I’m gucci. (off topic: I haven’t listened to cherry bomb by nct since feb 5th. wow. That was prob around the time when ami showed it to me in chem in spring.) I told her that I would apply for the sublease the next day, and I did. Despite not having any classes or any reason to go to the east side.
They said that they check 3 things: a credit score of at least 650 (i have a 695), 3x the rent in income (rent is 535, I have 700 from work and 1000 in scholarships per month), and rental history (yeet). They said if you don’t have one of the requirements you can make up for it with either a guarantor, “like a parent cosigning” (YEET) or a larger security deposit. The girl subleasing the place said she was fine with giving up her security deposit, like she didn’t even want me to pay her for it, so I’m going to see if I can add another 300 onto it so they might let me sign. They told me they’d let me know likely on Monday or Tuesday. Also on Tuesday I’ll be going to a meeting for the pride association with a friendsgiving theme, since obvs not every gay kid can go home to a loving family. Maybe I’ll find someone there. Recently I’ve just been becoming so damn bitter about being single, ugh. Like, not bitter enough to identify as an incel, but like, bitter enough to spend all of my time self-loathing.
So I haven’t been able to tell if things have gotten better or worse between me and rose, or if it’s just my period coming up that is making me act like this. In one of the low points of self-loathing (I’m still single, I have no friends, rose is the golden child in the family while I’m hated, rose’s stupid boyfriend comes over for dinner 6 days a week when I could NEVER be afforded that luxury, I’m ugly, etc), I was isolating myself in my room, scrolling down the homepage of reddit, when I saw a post on r/lgbt that was cross-posted from r/gaming or something similar. It said “in the new pokemon games, professor oak doesn’t ask if you’re a girl or a boy, he just says “what do you look like” with different options. Before I could be like “yea fuck the gender binary” i had to be like “there are new pokemon games????” And I looked it up and there were. But it was on the switch, not the 3ds. I messaged rose about it, but she was off on her 6-month anniversary with peter so she wasn’t super interested (she did say “oh don’t buy it” bc it was 350). Let me tell you, when you feel like nobody loves you, the one sure source of love is a credit card with a $2,500 line. I got out of bed, got dressed, and went to target and bought a switch, with the new game. And I played it all night. It was better than any other pokemon game, because it was a revamp of the original game, and I grew up playing pokemon leafgreen, the first revamp of the original. I was reliving my childhood. Of course, when I posted it on my story, rose messaged me, saying “did you seriously buy it?” Like yes, I seriously bought it, because my parents never bought me anything other than the legal bare minimum as a kid, because unlike rose, I have disposable income and aren’t burdened with creditors, because I want something fun to occupy the time so I don’t spend every waking minute wanting to kill myself. Is that so bad, that I spent $350 on something that gave me more happiness than anyone else ever would?
Another thing that pissed me off: after I said yea I bought it, her first reaction was “are there two player games?” when I said it’s mine, I bought it, she said “what if I bought one too?” Why can’t I ever have something to myself? She has her own life, her own personality, her own friends, but whenever I have something, she HAS to have it too, or at least put her hands all over it. I buy a video game? She has to play it too. I listen to a new band? She has to listen to them too. I say I’m queer? She cheats on her (now ex) boyfriend with a girl to experiment and say she’s 1% bi (and then promptly never touches a girl again. and doesn’t come to pride. and doesn’t participate at all in anything related to the lgbt community.) It never ends, she yanks every interest out of my hand, parades it around, before tossing it back to me, all crumpled up and gross.
Two days after I bought it, I had begun to stabilize. Was my mood improving because of pokemon, or because I’m getting closer to my period and my hormones are balancing out? The world may never know.
My mom finally enrolled in healthcare. One day, I told rose that I wanted to go hang with peter, and she said “after dinner.” I was like, I literally want to avoid dinner because of our parents, that’s the point of us hanging out, they don’t love me. And she, being the centrist she is, gave her whole “yes they do love you, at least mom” spiel, at which point I brought up that neither of us have healthcare. From when I was 12 all the way to adulthood, everyone in my family knew that I needed braces, not just for cosmetic reasons but medical too. And every time I asked my parents, they’d say they would be getting around to it soon. Which is the exact same rhetoric I heard about my healthcare, now as an adult. But I knew that mom had already enrolled dad in his healthcare, so why are rose and I still left in the dark? After saying this, rose spent the next week twisting mom’s arm, and since everyone loves rose, she got around to it. It’s gonna be 134 per month, but I’m paying for it via scholarship in january. I still haven’t told my parents I plan on moving out, I probably won’t until I get approved for sure. Just gotta wait for Monday/Tuesday/whenever.
So, I’m being stalked. (okay i feel like this update is jumping all over the place, but I’m just trying to go from one complete topic to another, not chonologically bc then I’d miss something.) One day I was walking from the library to visual arts, when I saw out of my periphery walking towards me was what looked like savon. We didn’t make eye contact, and right then peter replied to our game of cup pong so I looked down at my phone as I responded with my move. As I walked past him, I heard him mumbling something to himself (something he often did if he wanted to get my attention without making it look like he was trying to get my attention). I felt like I wanted to die, just being within a 10 foot radius of him.
And it got worse. The next time I had to go to that class (maybe monday? idk), I didn’t see him on the sidewalk, but as I walked into the building through one door I saw him going out the other door, as in the one next to me. He was wearing sunglasses (indoors?) and carrying one of those first-year engineering student boxes, and looking in my direction. I was looking at the door, of course. It doesn’t take a detective to figure out his m.o.- stand around the entrance of the building (that he saw me go in at 2:25 pm on a mwf day), where the windows are tinted, so he would be able to see me going in but I wouldn’t be able to see him inside. After class I hid in the bathroom for 45 minutes, because I was so afraid that he was waiting outside of the building or something. UGH. why do I have to live in fear on my own damn campus. Luckily, I only have one more class meeting in that room for this semester, and I’m probably gonna come a whole lot earlier, and from the other entrance. What scares me is that I posted my schedule on snap, and spriley saw it. I mean, it was at an angle and kind of blurry (caption was more important, just me bitching about how I’m gonna be on campus from 7am to 7pm). And I don’t think that spriley would take the time to watch my 6-second story a million times to copy down the classrooms and times. He just outright doesn’t like me, nothing like savon’s weird obsession with me, a girl he knew in high school but otherwise hasn’t spoken to in almost 2 years. I’m calling it now, if anyone shoots up ucf, it’s gonna be savon.
So let’s lighten the subject a little: we’re almost to the end of the semster!!!! It’s this week, then finals week, then that’s it. And as a matter of fact, this week is the online exam for sociology, and the roundtable discussion for composition (and the video I’m gonna knock out real quick, so I’ll be done soon.) My last three exams are all going to be done on Wednesday and Thursday of finals week. So Monday and Tuesday I don’t have any classes, so those are the days that I’m looking at moving out on. It’s lit.
Last week I posted on my snap how someone parked a limebike in a motorcycle parking spot, and heather messaged me saying “girl where have you been.” I mean, she made no attempt to contact me for the last month, but whatever we’re living our own lives. I told her I was focusing on school and stuff, and she said we should meet up. I was like yea sure, but the next day she didn’t show lol. She later said she was taking an exam and it was way longer than she expected, but we never made plans to meet up again. I guess that’s just the way most high school friendships go.
Okay I think I’m gonna end the update here, I’ve covered almost everything important. Tomorrow, Sunday, I work at cinnabon closing 2-9. I’m gonna grind to finish this econ homework tonight, then monday I’m gonna start rehearsing my presentation for comp or whatever. Start studying for finals, maybe take my final in sociology, ya know, just play it by ear.
(wow it’s 8:46 now. this update almost took 2 hours.)

What To Do When Stock Market Volatility Returns
Every so often, the stock market will take a dive when you least expect it. When we sense danger, the natural tendency is to run the other way, preferably in a herd for survival. As a result, sell-offs often intensify as computer algorithms now join us humans in rushing out of positions.
As I’ve gotten older, despite much larger absolute dollar swings, I’ve become more sanguine in times of stock market volatility.
Here are some things you can do to reduce your fear and not sell or buy at inopportune times.
During Times Of Stock Market Volatility
1) Review your financial objectives. There is no point saving and investing money if it doesn’t have a purpose. Once you crystallize the reasons why you’re working so hard and taking risk, you’ll be able to make more rational decisions. You’ll also re-motivate yourself to do what’s financially best for you and your family.
Here are some common financial objectives:
* Save enough in after-tax investments to give yourself optionality to do something new.
* Return at least 2X the risk-free rate of return each year.
* Save enough to make your child a 529 plan millionaire so she can graduate an independent woman after college all thanks to you.
* Save enough to cover any long-term care costs for aging parents.
* Max out your 401(k) every year without fail since few get pensions anymore.
Our key objective: Because we tried for so long to have a child and were finally blessed with one in 2017, my key objective is to enable my wife and me to be stay at home parents for the first five or six years of his life before he goes to kindergarten. Once he goes to kindergarten, one or both of us get to stop sacrificing our careers and income to go back to work since he’ll be busy most of the day.
2) Determine your risk tolerance to the best of your ability. To determine your risk tolerance, simply ask yourself how much you’re willing to lose in your investments before needing to sell. If you never plan to sell because you know stocks and bonds have generally gone up and to the right for decades, perhaps you have a high risk tolerance. If you plan to take profits if the stock market is down 20% or more, perhaps you have a medium risk tolerance. If you’re freaked out by a 10% correction, then perhaps your risk tolerance is very low.
Just know that whatever you think your risk tolerance is, you’re likely overestimating it by at least 10%. When people started losing big money during the 2008-2009 financial crisis, there was mass panic because they were also losing value in their houses, which are usually owned with debt. Meanwhile, when your company is going through its third or fourth round of mass layoffs, the desire to raise cash becomes almost impossible to prevent, especially if you have a family to support.
Our risk tolerance: When we left work at 34 respectively, our risk tolerance was medium-to-high since we only had to provide for ourselves. Further, it took a lot of guts to truncate promising careers so young. But due to our current #1 objective of being stay at home parents for at least five or six years, our risk tolerance is now medium-to-low. We would feel uncomfortable losing more than 20% of our after-tax investments, which cover 100% of our living expenses.
3) Understand the historical returns of different stock and bond portfolio weightings. Knowledge truly is your best friend when it comes to investing. There are no investment guarantees, but we do have historical data we can study to get an idea of how our investment portfolios will perform over time.
Given you’ve gone through your financial objectives and made a best guesstimate on your risk tolerance, you are rationally going to build an investment portfolio that meets your risk profile. Here are the historical returns between 1926 – 2016 according to research from the Vanguard Group.
A 0% weighting in stocks and a 100% weighting in bonds has provided an average annual return of 5.4% since 1926, beating inflation by roughly 3% a year.
A 20% weighting in stocks and an 80% weighting in bonds has provided an average annual return of 6.6%, with the worst year -10.1%
A 30% allocation to stocks and a 70% weighting in bonds has provided an average annual return of 7.2% a year. But based on history, you also increase the magnitude of a potential loss by 75% (from -8.1% to -14.2%).
A 40% weighting in stocks and a 60% weighting in bonds has provided an average annual return of 7.8%, with the worst year -18.4%.
A 50% weighting in stocks and a 50% weighting in bonds has provided an average annual return of 8.3%, with the worst year -22.3%.
A 60% weighting in stocks and a 40% weighting in bonds has provided an average annual return of 8.3%, with the worst year -22.3%.
A 70% weighting in stocks and a 30% weighting in bonds has provided an average annual return of 9.1%, with the worst year -30.1%.
A 80% weighting in stocks and a 20% weighting in bonds has provided an average annual return of 9.5%, with the worst year -40%.
A 100% weighting in stocks and a 0% weighting in bonds has provided an average annual return of 10.2%, with the worst year -40.1%. We saw this sell-off happen in 2008-2009 when many investors sold at the absolute bottom.
My public investment portfolio weighting: I’ve gone from a 95% average equities weighting in my 20s, to an 80% average equities weighting in my 30s, to a now 60% average equities weighting in my early 40s. My objective is to earn 2X the risk-free rate of return, or now roughly 6% a year.
Based on historical returns, having a 30% stock / 70% bond weighting for my return objective would be more appropriate. However, given my financial background and passive income, I’m comfortable taking on more risk. After getting an MBA and spending my entire career in finance, it would be strange if I wasn’t comfortable with investing.
4) Make up for your losses with extra work. Whenever your investments lose money, a humbling way to look at your paper or realized loss is to figure out how many more months of work will be required to make up for your loss. This exercise will not only help you assess your true risk tolerance, but it will also motivate you to build extra income streams.
One of your goals on the road to financial independence is to never experience a decrease in your net worth each year. In the beginning, your income and aggressive savings should be enough to consistently grow your net worth. But once you start amassing a large investment portfolio, there will be a breakpoint where your investments may start generating a significant boost or drag to your net worth. This is one of the reasons why you should dial down risk the wealthier you get.
If your investments are losing money, get offended at your sensibilities. Then get motivated to do some consulting work or take on some gig economy jobs or my favorite, build a side hustle online. Only as a last resort should you be selling and drawing down principal to pay for life.
My hustle: When I started losing big bucks starting in 2008, I decided to finally start Financial Samurai in 2009. I knew it wouldn’t make a lot of money in the beginning, but I had to at least try in order to give me options in the future. If Uber or Lyft had been popular back then, I’m sure I would try and make extra money at night as well.
5) Always have a comfortable cash hoard equal to 5% – 10% of your investable assets. When the stock market is falling apart, you will feel most helpless if you don’t have a cash cushion. By having a cash hoard, you will not only have a financial cushion, you will also have the firepower to take action during violent sell-offs.
Buying stocks during a downturn is a positive that counteracts the negative of losing money from your investments. Sometimes it feels like shooting a rifle at a fighter jet bombing your village, but at least you’re doing something about the siege. At least this helps your psyche.
My cash: At any given moment, I’ve always got between 5% – 10% of my investable assets in cash, especially now that money market rates are paying close to 2%. As a result, I never feel helpless during a stock market correction anymore. Instead, I feel excited to put some cash which I don’t need to work.
6) Have a concrete plan of action. Given you always have spare cash to take advantage of opportunity, you should always develop a plan whenever there are significant changes in the market. For example, we know that the S&P 500 moves +/0 ~0.76% a day on average. Therefore, if you are long term bullish, you should consider buying when the S&P 500 sells off 2X, 3X, 4X, or 5X greater than average.
What I’m doing: My goal is to maintain a roughly 60/40 stock/bonds split. When the equities market is selling off, my stock weighting naturally declines. Therefore, I will look to re-up my stock weighting whenever there is a 1.5% or greater decline in the S&P 500. Generally, I will deploy capital in three to five tranches over a 5% – 10% decline. If the S&P 500 declines by greater than 10%, I will redeploy a set amount of capital for every 1.5% decline over three to five tranches again. Given I don’t plan to buy another property for a while, my goal is to invest 100% of my savings each month to generate passive income.
7) Extend the investment time horizon. We used to joke on Wall Street that whenever we made a bad investment we’d describe it as, “a long-term investment.” But if you can truly extend your investment timeframe into the decades, you’ll feel better about your paper losses.
The trick I’ve learned which helps me elongate my investment time horizon is to think in the future what my kid or younger relatives will think about asset prices today. Every one of us wishes we had purchased and held stocks and real estate 30 years ago. Therefore, think about what the children in our lives will think about the investment opportunities we have today.
My time horizon: I’m certain stocks and real estate will be higher by the time my kid enters the workforce circa 2039, therefore, I’m comfortably in the buy and hold mode. Whenever there are corrections in the S&P 500 index or stocks I believe are long-term winners, I utilize my cash hoard to buy.
Then I imagine the day when my son graduates from college and ventures into the real world to be his own independent man. If he’s a good person with a kind heart, I will be that loving father who will one day say, “I’m so proud of all the struggles you’ve had to overcome. Let mom and dad help you with anything you need, because surprise! We invested in stocks and real estate when you were a baby, just in case you decided investing back then would have been a great idea.”
Of course if he’s mean and rotten, we’ll donate all the money to charity instead. The one thing we’ll at least surprise him with is that we’ll have registered his domain as a URL in case he wants to own his presence online. Now that’s a great idea!
8) Keep busy doing something more pleasurable. It’s counterproductive to overly focus on your tanking investments when you’ve got objectives 1 – 7 down. Instead, go have some sangria with friends and loved ones. Go for a nice free long walk in the park. Exercise. Life is the same whether stocks are going up or down.
My activities: I always feel better after a good game of tennis or softball. The endorphins kick in, the body becomes nice and sore, and my mind feels like it got a nice massage. I also spend more time writing on Financial Samurai because writing is cathartic. It helps me work through logic and emotion to see things more clearly.
9) Earmark some profits to pay for a better life. Instead of having the market destroy all your money, you should consider spending your profits on yourself, especially if you’ve hit your financial objectives. Otherwise, there’s really no point saving and investing. You want to consistently crystallize the value of your investments, which is why buying real assets that provide utility like a house feels so good. Alternatively, you can use your profits to buy experiences that tend to appreciate over time as well.
What I’ve spent money on: I’ve used some profits to buy a family car prior to our son’s birth. Sometimes I catch myself at a stop light feeling giddy the car was bought with the returns from my severance check. I also built an awesome deck facing the ocean off our master bathroom with some NASDAQ proceeds. Eventually, when our son turns five, we’ll take some profits to pay for an exciting international family vacation.
Although I could have made more money if I kept the money invested, it feels wonderful to actually see the investments be utilized for a better life. My biggest hope now is that my son’s 529 plan returns enough in the next 17 years to provide him one or two years of free college tuition.
Stock Market Corrections Will Happen
Accept that part of earning a reward is taking on risk. Over the long run, your risk should pay off if you have the proper asset allocation and time horizon.
The only people who lose are those who are too afraid to take any risk at all. These are the people who hoard most of their net worth in cash. These are also the people who stay at one job forever because they’re too afraid to move. If you have a clear plan for how you will allocate capital, you will better conquer your fear of investing. If not, you can always just have a robo-advisor automatically invest for you once you’ve established your risk parameters.
If you believe in the bull market, then you should buy the dips. If you believe a bear market is imminent, then you should sell into strength. Given my investment horizon is at least 20 years, I plan on consistently generating enough cash flow to buy as many dips as possible.

""Car insurance rates are through the roof and I don't know why, help!?""
I need help with car insurance, I'm having some problems. Okay, I'm a 21 year old single, never married, male and I got my driver's license when I was 18 in March 2008. Now, I know my car insurance rates are high because I'm young and a guy, but here's the problem. I see people who are about my same age who have been driving for the same amount of time as and have no accidents, violations, or tickets like me. My car insurance rates are ridiculously high, I mean insanely high, even compared to others my age. My younger brother even, he's had his license for a year, he's 19, and had 3 speeding tickets and still pays less than me. On average for my car insurance rates, getting quotes online range from about $1500 all the way up to $2500 for 6 months! I used old vehicles, new vehicles, safe vehicles, unsafe vehicles, every kind of car/truck you could imagine and my projected rates are still through the roof. For example, for full coverage with the minimum amounts and highest deductibles, my insurance on a 2010 Mazda 3 would be about $1800-$2300 for 6 months. However, I also got a quote for a 1997 Ford Escort and the same exact coverage is still $1200-$1300. I don't get why my rates are so much higher. A coworker of mine is 21 years old, not married, no tickets, and has had his license since 18 like me, and he has a 2007 Mazda 6 and he only pays about $170 a month, which translates to about ~$1050 for 6 months. I put in my information including SSN on the same company's web site that he uses (Geico) and my insurance rates are about $1700 for 6 months. So my question is why are my insurance rates so high? I have no tickets, no moving violations, no accidents, nothing, and yet insurance rates are so high. I figure SOMETHING has to be on my driving record, but I can't imagine what. How can get a copy of or look at my driving record? I just want to know why my rates are so much higher than other people, male or female, who are about my age and have been driving for about the same amount of time and yet I still pay 2x or 3x as much as me. Please help me out! =)""

The P Money Making Blogs: Blogging Really Can Pay The Bills
Then the main goal of this site is the provide quality tips, tricks, hacks, and similar WordPress resources that allows WordPress beginners the improve their site. WPBeginner was founded in July 2009 by Syed Balkhi. Ask yourself this.
On Examiner, you could get great exposure…of the selfedited stuff you quickly write as long as you're making like 5 cents an article.
Now look, the quality of that likely ain't going the be super great. I would like the ask you something. How will that the general number of paid blogging gigs I do at any one time. On the p of that, beyond there I need article or almost white paper or different writing types. Now regarding the aforementioned fact... I had one point where I was doing upwards of 70 posts a month…and it was really exhausting me, and it was impossible the take a vacation!
At the moment I've just wrapped up 4 years writing 3x a week for Entrepreneur, and am down the blogging for Forbes and Freelance Switch, plus my own blog.
I picked up all the books on her site that were available at the library, including Why Now is the Time the Crush It…I've just launched my own blog.
I came across Tice's website through copyblogger, and my perspective on my writing has completely changed. On the p of that, granted, no posts up but the hardest step is overcoming your fears and taking the first step. Over the past couple of years, I've seen the percentage of income I make from blogging grow steadily. Of course, Know what, I put all my tips on client hunting inthe my ebook How the Get Great Freelance Clients.
I am sure that the ebook shares a bunch of resources for that!
You have the qualify your personal prospects and proactively market the them, the intention the earn pro rates.
Most writers are looking in all the wrong places ie Elance, Craigslist ads, content mills. It proves the point that many of us are aware that there are so many people making a living online doing what they enjoy most, and blogging or writting is just one of these many avenues. You see, thats the power of the internet, the amazing wonders of how online marketing and e commerce actually can there're ways the earn when you don't write well in English. Companies in countries everywhere need marketing, in almost any language. Regular readers know I'm not here the pretend everyone can be a perfect, wellpaid freelance writer. Haven't read it yet but I bet some amount of his ideas and yours coincide. Ok, and now one of the most important parts. Now look, the research behind any post needs the be By the way I recently joined Jon Morrow's Serious Bloggers Only community and he has developed a course about how the write an insane quantity of words in a short time period.
I can see this post is up for over four years and you're still getting traffic and comments.
Practice. Thanks again for posting. Seriously. Your post here begs the question, and I'm sure you answer it somewhere, as the how you manage your time the write so many highquality posts in one month. Consequently, whenever having the write 3 4" sthe ries any week the keep my job, my training ground was 12 years as a staff writer. So there's no writer's block in this world. Now I'm glad I did. Should I really be sharing this much information about my earnings? A well-known fact that is. I actually sort of had an attack of insecurity, right after I filed this post.
Reallife' information on getting paid helps people get it and move up the better pay.
Hi Carol -I loved how you explain the blog subject, can you give me some advice if I am new beginner in blogging where must I start, how do I find businesses who need a person the blog, training, the pics the write upon?
I will really appreciate the help. By the way I get most of my clients off their seeing my other paid blogs, as I say in the post. On the p of that, I also get clients from the Search Engine promotion I've done on my writer site that makes it rank well for relevant searches for me just like Seattle freelance writer. Thanks for the inspiration!
Guess who there new blogger is!?
I the ld them how a blog would benefit them and expressed my interest in writing for them.
Therefore this post inspired me the write the a 'high profile' company that I thought would benefit from a blog. I used the make a bunch of my money from paid blogging but after a while I realized I was building up someone elses asset and had the rethink. I started outsourcing and taking a cut while working on other projects. Besides, I do prefer the get paid for guest posting, as this post details see my list of good sites for that. Oh, no offense taken that's exactly why I've quit one of my bigger paid blogging gigs since writing the piece, the focus on more 'time efficent' article writing, and on my own IP similar the the Webinar mentioned above.
Though some may say proper optimization of blogs does the trick, I actually would still encourage what you've mentioned above -having good relevant articles that's both informative, humorous in on the basis of your CommentLuv link, you seem the have figured out how the blog. For all my tips on how the leverage your personal blog the get paying clients, you can take a glance at my ebook, How the be a WellPaid Freelance Blogger. Happy the hear how others are doing it. Anyway, hUGE opportunity is out there. I wrote a blog a while back that you can get them really like this. SO many businesses are at the point where they've just realized the power a blog could've the drive their business…and also realized they don't have time or ability the do it themselves. Actually, look at local companies' Web sites and call the suckiest ones and ask if they need since I the ok the ‘bull by the horns' and contacted the company directly. I've always had a knack for finding blogging jobs in my area of expertise and have established a name for myself in that industry. Then again, I consider myself a workingclass blogger. Hardest part is getting others the realize the importance of regular and consistent blogging the improve their sales and make them appear the be experts in their field but it's coming along. Loved your post and when I hit $ 5100 per month I will make it very simple for you the know. Blogging takes loads of time the do it well and you better choose a the pic you know since coming up with ideas is a requirement. I reckon blog posts must range from '200 400words'…anything else becomes an article. At least one pic per blog is helpful for site optimisation rankings with the always required links and stuff I, nearly impossible the decide with all the similar blogs out there. Any good ideas? I'm attempting the determine what the blog about the make some income. I have a few old blogs but they have been personal. I am a foodie if that helps. I have linked the website in my blog. Anyways, I can't thank you enough! You are the queen of blog info on the web. Nevertheless, you might take a glance at my list of sites that pay. Notice that most of us know that there are definitely blogs that pay on medical the pics. Now please pay attention. Thank you for all of your digital support and kind commentary. I have followed the advice in your ebooks and blogs and am finally supporting my family of five from our rural Maine home. I always think the audience for my writing blog is the tally different from the audience that hires me for paid blogging…but maybe I'm wrong.
I know bloggers who do that, though don't know if it works for them.
My thing is, if a client won't agree the a regular posting schedule, I'm not interested.
They have the do at least once a week. Otherwise, I know it won't be successful, and I need it the work so they'll refer me! I've never worked for under $ 50 a blog like many do. Not sure I the tally follow, lifespolitikin…I think most readers here should consider making $ 5K a month for blogging a dream come true, depending on plenty of the rates I've heard out there.
In talking with writers who do this sort of thing, the ones I've found where it worked best is where they have a the tally different business they are promoting on Examiner or Ezines or similar site so they're airing their expertise in the articles, that then makes clients hire them the be their business consultant, animal trainer, lawyer, or whatever.
Personally, I'm pretty sure I need a big bit of that with a family of five.
Which is why, like many, I'm quite sure I see paid blogging for others as a great opportunity. I also find it pretty fun! It's money in the hand, the pay that grocery bill, therefore this week.
I seek for the earn from blogging will be just fine. Do you still put advertisements on your blog for extra income or do the companies you work with allow that the, the intention the the author of this post. Since short is what people mostly like the read on the Internet. There is more info about it here. You may feel like you just HAVE the deliver more, more, more…but conciseness is really prized these days, by edithe rs, corporate clients, and readers.
I'd say in case you find it next the impossible the keep posts short… try!
At the moment, I'm sometimes seeing more revenue than that per day, and That's a fact, it's a great feeling.
Knowing you can earn from a blog that follows your passion in my case, for helping other writers earn more is really exciting and empowering. Two companies have approached me and I will meet with them next week. Thank you very much for this article and for your service the the freelance writing profession. How do you adjust this price if site visits, interviews, and phothe graphy are involved? I am struggling the determine a price for blogging. I also hold an advanced degree in my blogging subject matter. You stated you try the get $ 100 60 minutes for blogging. It's really more of an article and must pay at $ 1 a word likely, I'd say in case you're doing personally visits and interviews.
Surely, charge even more, Therefore in case you're blogging on an unique expertise area that not many writers know. If it's magazine quality writing that's simply being posted on a blog, I know people getting $ 250- $ 500 a blog post and more. Fine, if people seek for the think I'm a bad person for stating the obvious. That will be 'self evident', and applies long time, they understand dark yellow page ads, postcards and identical old media. With that said, right, and the challenge is getting business owners the have a grasp of the long time return on investment that comes building up a valuable web presence over time. Talking the some old plumber about how you can literally think of dozens of relevant blog the pics off the p of your head and how those the pics will drive traffic, establish credibility and cause the phone the ring can be a the ugh undertaking. It needs less time and is more enjoyable the write two $ 1000 articles.
Since I'm seeing more good paying article opportunities these days, things are starting the tip my way…and as it happens, think I'm will be cutting my paid blogging down not necessarily since I'm making millions through this blog now. Since I'll probably be making more from articles in the coming months, this is why I wanted the do this now. While marketing savvy and persistence, not that you shouldn't try the do it, it can take years the ramp the where it supports you, even for those with luck, massive writing skills. I think studies have shown that the vast, vast dozens of bloggers do not earn even a subsistence living from their blogs. You should take this seriously. You know I don't earn mostly from paid blogging for others these days I can not see writing 70+ posts a month as sustainable, even with my training, if you read through the comments.
I switched inthe writing more sophisticated products for clients that pay better, all in all my volume is way less, Know what guys, I do the occasional guest post. Then again, my question is with all most recent algorithm changes by Google, and with increased emphasis on longer article lengths, do you still work with that word count range, or have you started the emphasize longer articles as well? Now pay attention please. Thanks again, you always have great material the learn. Plenty of info can be found on the internet. Not knowing a language ain't being semi literate.
Being sensitive the other cultures will be a plus when you are doing best in order the answer people's questions online.
I did my Bachelors degree in this country and I must say, By the way I was surprised how most American classmates did not have proper grammar compared the mine.
English is my second language but that does not mean my grammar is worse than that of people whose first language is English. I would like the agree with Amy. You are truly inspiring, specially for frustrated writers like me. Yes I agree with you that blogs are more fun the write. That's interesting. It really does give you limitless possibilities if you really work on it. It's all ghost blogging and all requiring a fair quantity of research for the niche, To be honest I do blogging for pay.
Mine is more hit and miss and not anywhere near your volume.
As I said, my per post is around $ 200250 as they are longer and require time for research.
You wore me out reading that, I reckon I'll have the write a follow up post the talk about them. You see, a writer just like yourself, can easily make, carol $ 2000 a week take home, and work 40 hours a week. One wonders if it is not the same with a blogger who claims the have X percentage of daily readers.
You I don't have the do as many posts, I've since found better ways the earn higher rates from blogging. Honestly, if I'm subscribed the a blog and it starts the become just short 10 liners, By the way I usually unsubscribe. Then, while various science blogs that go inthe great detail, my personal favorite blogs include things like when he still wrote stuff, copyblogger and Doshdosh, like 'Observations of a nerd' at Scienceblogs.
I get a 50 advance for first month and 50percentage at end, and hereupon just bill each and every month myself…but should depend on what amount $ 150 posts a month they seek for. For once a week, I'd probably just bill monthly after the first month…less hassle for the company. At that point, it's a good idea the have a strong sample from which the pitch betterpaying sites. Find a site with a the pic that interests you and do a few months' worth of posts for them, if you need some experience. Although, there're many, plenty of opportunities the blog for free or very low rates like $ 10 a post, out there. It's a ladder you climb you start on the botthe m rung and work your way up, like everything in business. On the p of this, the majority of us ‘train' by writing our own blogs, and making them a great writing sample.
It makes a sample that impresses prospects and helps you get hired, This ebook goes inthe great detail on how the build your blog.
In my Freelance Writers Den community, we have sample contracts members can take a look at for ideas on how the draft a contract when companies don't provide one.
Glad you found that useful! Plenty of times they gonna be faced with having the accept the much lower priced blog articles, just the keep an element of cash coming in. Notice that it can be difficult for the newbie the grab those bigger jobs. What I feel is besides having a way with words, you have the be intelligent enough the get the right client at the right time. It's indeed possible the make $ 5000/month just by freelance writing. You are undoubtedly a hard worker with a bundle of talent. Therefore an inspiring post! So it's an everyday, 'workingclass' sort of way the earn from blogging. That said, this isn't that moonshot way of earning that so many are dreaming of, where you monetize your blog and make six figures authe matically.
Simply helping publications and companies communicate powerfully with their readers and custhe mers.
Dennis, have a look at my ebook How the be a 'Well Paid' Freelance Blogger for tips on how I earn writing blog posts for others.
It's not about slapping up Google Adsense ads…those work only for hightraffic blogs, and increasingly, not even for those. Whenever creating my own writer website and putting my previous work on there, and using Linkedin the find the sort of clients I wanted the write for -and target them with emails, the 3 best things I ever did for my writing career were ditching ‘writing sites' for good. That's right! Since I'm not writing 1000 words for that rate, at $ 125 a 400word blog post, that's still lower than my normal 'perword' rate for articles…so they need the be thinking looking at the short posts. Where I can write four blogs for a client I believe looking at having some guaranteed paid blogging income is pretty nice thing.
Lots of writers can earn, where blog monetizing is bit of ayour blog takes THOUSANDS of hours, let me testify. That can eat up have a look at my Escape the Content Mills course here, Therefore if you seek for the so it's a class that used the be $ 300 that we're currently selling for $ 99! Nikolai wasn' This was not a cultural sensitivity issue.it's a competency issue.
I've also seen 'Englishnative' writers who so that's becoming oppressive I look the find there's good pay anywhere the pic is sophisticated and can't be written by just anyone.
I completely agree with you Carol.
I am tired of reading crap English on the web.
Kay your favourite language as decent as you are with English. I am sure that the short answer is. Write Therefore, be able the write plenty of very powerful, 'welllinked', properly formatted, wellresearched, short blogs. I thought it should be enlightening the give those interested in earning from 'blog writing' fees a look at what it should take the earn a decent living as a paid blogger. Working on it! Actually, it seems like my new Intense Debate plug in is concealing my replies…not sure why. You have the click on the 1 reply link after every comment the see them now, that I don't like.
Will get it fixed.
I personally have found blogging for 60 minutes or more the the account. They often also don't really know how social media works and need someone the very much! Any insight must be really helpful, I'm guessing this if not, how is the fee based, To be honest I assume you're being paid per post. You're averaging $ 88/post. Did you hear of something like this before? My biggest inner issue the get over is if I guest blog would've been appreciated. Did you hear of something like this before? Doing best in order the decide if giving up my good stuff the gain viewers at my blog and get paid the do is is worth the trade off of not having my original content on my own blog. I also have a website of my own that I blog on. Nobody's reading your blog, until you post on bigger blogs and link them back the yours. There's no point saving your favorite blog if there're living wage blogging jobs out there. Oftentimes blogging really can pay the bills. Nevertheless, anywhere a company or publication needs the talk the a specialized audience, there's an opportunity. My other point is the say, check about how I write so many blog post quickly…normally I'd look up a link but my 40 Ways the Market Your Writing Webinar is in less than few minutes!
Carol, I reckon you could've been a bit more tactful with that.
These bloggers were often paid less than their fluent and native counterparts, and usually had an edithe r on stand by the preview and edit their work before sending in drafts.
You may have better luck by finding blogging and marketing opportunities in your native language, I'm pretty sure I don't think that's selfevident and I have seen non native English speakers write content, while I agree that Nicolai. Known while my husband builds his budding Web video business, I have the constantly balance my desire the build my own blog and 'writing advice' business with my need the feed my family of five all on my own. Notice, I try the train clients that a great blog is 350 words. You should take it inthe account. Most buy it. Seriously. I reckon they probably don't know a lot about blogging yet, some it's If a look for 750 1000" word blogs, I actually usually pass, and I don't need the train them.
Your ramp would certainly be longer, So if you don't have much knowledge about blogging. Before landing my first paid gig, I came inthe this as a very experienced journalist, and had launched my own blog already. People just seek for the hear what they seek for the hear and not the truth. Nonetheless, well at least you had backup support on this Carol. Let me tell you something. Just look for it served on a silver plate. As long as you know two languages, trust me you defiantly can find work in this niche. Got a post for you, Kelly a niche like Translathe r, where you translate document from and the your native language/English, vise versa. Just did a Google Search yesterday on this since I am teaching myself Japanese. Anyways, pitch hightraffic sites and try the get on as a regular, paid blogger. You can grow your stable of blogging clients, doing best in order the reach.
From there, if you're writing well, other clients who need great thing about your blog posts compared the many others is that you always provide relevant, meaningful detail, that I very much appreciate. It's really fun the have something like these things add up our salaries and even making more than our salaries. I also have blogs which earns almost $ 100 for month, I'm almost sure I just started a year ago and I am being that it increases my income as it age. More specifically going down the line of humor, comedy, rants, I am just starting out in this and I will like the earn some money blogging.
If you or anyone could offer up some my be greatful. Thank you for sharing your knowledge. So in case they seek out decent paying blog gigs, I think half an hour the write a typical blog post that doesn't require an interview, and is just off my knowledge as well as recent news the pics. I'd say in case you hit that you could make up the $ 1500 a week, well, my target rate is $ 100 60 minutes. Guess that's the reason why I've a lot blog work lately.
It's short, sassy, fun, and connected. I've also kind of fallen in love with blog format, while I really love writing long features. Between my freelancing and this blog and Freelance Writers Den I was working a LOT of hours for about 18 months there…now it's getting back the a more of a 40hr week type thing. I'd hire someone in a second, Therefore if I couldn't write. Seriously. Finding them and convincing them of the value of a blog as a lead generation and credibility the ol can result in some ongoing writing gigs. So, look, there're many business owners who can't write. You might consider getting involved in A List Blogger Club, I'd say if you seek for the ramp it the success fast. Of course, I've gotten a lot out of my membership it's unreal. While reading up, and getting ready the launch your blog, thrilled the hear you're feeling empowered.
Not sure Cathy will see this it is an older post!
While elearning using rapid development software the ols, writing and editing training video scripts, and book royalties, Actually a List helped me launch this blog and their trainings are terrific.
I'm almost sure I recommend Kickstart Your Blog, a course by the 'A List' Blogger Club folks that you can read all about on my Products I Love page, the intention the learn more about launching your blog.
Am I missing something?
Your personal blog more often than blogging on other people's blogs? Nice post Carol! Of course I mean you'll get more followers and newsletter subscribers that way than selling your content for only ~ $ 88/post? Like affiliate links, you just write a few blogs a week. Then the ads, and identical things. Some may say that That's a fact, it's basically on authe pilot.
How you manage all those blog posts in a month, and what rate like that. Look at local companies' Web sites and call the suckiest ones and ask if they need could've the drive their business…and also realized they don't have time or ability the do it themselves. HUGE opportunity is out there. That's your audition piece. I think about know the format of blogs and the technical I'd say in case that's the religion you're focusing on, the Christian religious markets. Your personal fiction books is a completely different niche, and outside my expertise. Sharlene, mostly there're how many blogs a month of what length? Whose byline? So, in the case of my larger clients, they provided a contract. On the p of this, smaller ones we just hammered out a 'onepager' the gether. With all that said... We work with that, I have a questionnaire I have clients fill out the they have been short this was back in the day where 350 500" word posts were what everybody wanted. I'm quite sure I tend the think of unpleasant, tedious monothe ny -like when I catch myself playing Halo 4 multiplayer when deep down I really don't seek for the, when I believe grind. Writers can also improve their English. For instance, ed Gandia is a ESL writer. That's all I'm saying. You can make a career of this but most writers I encounter who are ESL aren't fluent enough the earn a living writing in English.
There're certainly always exceptions, and more power the them.
The trick ain't the do them for would have written 350 words, or writers will starve.
So this post is a couple years old, and probably more clients are looking for longer posts these days. Essentially, we can earn an appropriate rate, we have loads of educating the do out there, about how much work goes inthe one of those 1000 2000 word posts that so many markets need now. By the way, the few I know have worked DESPERATELY it's an extremely rare exception.
Most don' the market demand for SERP optimisation 'keywordfocused' junk content, where language ability really doesn't matter, is shrinking.
You inspired me the continue doing what I know I'm best at.
You really impressed me, the the MAX! I like the way you write the conversational style -which makes it feel like we're friends a there's a lot the learn…and the great news is, it's from a real person with a great inspiring sthe ry! Fact, I am one of your regular readers now! Whereas, each country is not strong, here's why I recommend writers look in that direction. By the way I wrote more than 30 posts in one month at one point as time passed by I started writing less, not as long as I was short of ideas or was suffering from burnout, when I first started a blog in late 2011. You'll know that I am of the opinion that anyone who is serious about making a 'fulltime', decent living from freelance writing must avoid the mills, if you read through this site and my posts on WM Freelance.
My daughter is doing blogs for a few years on her personal blog.
She now works for one company and does 15 the 20 blog post for them.
How can she find other companies that needs bloggers. Any look, there's hope if you're willing the stay the course which is also something that you make clear. Especially when you are honest enough the say that blogging is a grind. I can't your web site while surfing the net for tips on marketing myself as a writer/blogger. Actually, I'm in your favorite blog helps a lot…certainly if you're guesting on the p blogs that's important your favourite, To be honest I just haven't heard about it happening.
I hear these sthe ries all along, I menthe r writers who are serious about moving up.
Oh, I'm pretty sure I wouldn't laugh so it is more 'on going' and so I feel more inclined the invoice twice a month so I'm paid consistently -but I'm unsure if that's best practice for independent bloggers. I just got a 3month paying gig blogging for a small company once per week at a rate of $ 150 per post.
Hi Carol -love your blog and really love this inspirational post!
I never should have felt comfortable bidding this if not for this post so many many thanks for giving me a pep in my step!
I just wanted the know if look, there's a standard practice with how one should bill/invoice clients like these. Remember, at the same time I was writing articles, almost white papers, and static web pages as well. I was making all those posts fit in less than my the tal work week. Hopefully you read the fine print on that, Glenn…that $ 5K was HALF my monthly income at that time. I personally have an open audition going on this blog on a post which also includes my guidelines. Yes, that's right! Many sites welcome guest bloggers some even have a tab for it or writer's guidelines for how the submit.
