The inevitable angst episode. Sigh. Though episode 8 was really painful, I've actually rewatched it more than episode 7. The acting is so good I feel so many different things, not just sadness.

I swear 70% of what makes Unintentional Love Story so good is Cha Seowon's acting.

The way he's holding back tears along with the dejected acceptance broke my heart.

God. The confrontation. Taejoon's tear falls into Wonyoung's face which makes him shudder. 😭 The emotion here... such pain.

The pain before didn't even compare to this. The look on Taejoon's face... I haven't cried watching dramas in a long time, but I got misty eyed here.

This was such a cute and happy flashback.

Only to see Taejoon in so much pain. 💔

I don't have anything to defend Wonyoung with, but seeing him being treated to such harsh words hurt.

They only see each other in a crowd. This gave me hope that the angst might be short and there wouldn't be too much more pain.

Boy was I wrong. "I no longer have any feelings for you." Yeouch! Way harsh Taejoon. Also a bold faced lie.

Poor baby Wonyoung. He was wrong for not telling Taejoon about the job sooner, but I can't help wanting to protect him and feeling like he doesn't deserve this pain.

Taejoon actually says "you make people sick" here. OUCH. The subs are way nicer. Taejoon is hell bent on inflicting maximum pain on Wonyoung isn't he?

I loved that Wonyoung stood up for himself. Yes he was wrong, but he (all of us) need Taejoon to stop misunderstanding his feelings.

This made me so happy. Don't give up Wonyoung! This whole episode was pain, but just the last two minutes gave me hope. Taejoon clearly still likes Wonyoung and Wonyoung's persistence is making progress.

Now I can spend the week feeling angsty but hopeful for them, instead of just sad and devastated. I need it to be Friday right now!

This week's Unintentional Love Story gave me so many feels. Loved both the happy boyfriends era and the painful angst because it was so well acted.

I have to spit this week's spazz thoughts into two parts. Thank god we got to start off with Wonyoung and Taejoon being cute af.

Love Taejoon's fond exasperation. I understand Wonyoung completely here though.

It's all about the neck hold. 🫠 I love the simplicity of it all. Will you date me? It's all that's needed. Taejoon looks so happy!

The hand holding! 🥹❤️ I swear hand holding is underrated in romance dramas.

Wonyoung is really the cutest little bean. He wrote sajangnim instead of Joohyun. 🤭

Taejoon draws the box around Wonyoung's sand art afterwards, but we see the box already drawn in the prior scene when Wonyoung first shows Taejoon his work. Whoops lol.

I'm living for Wonyoung's pouty aegyo. It's so cute.

And it totally works on Taejoon. 🤭 The chin hold again!! I found out that the subs are actually not complete here. Taejoon actually says "you're so cute, I'm dying". How could they leave that out?! Squealed a little ngl. The way Taejoon emotes his affection for Wonyoung through his eyes has me screaming into my pillow (in a good way).

I hate the way jealousy is romanticized in dramas when the guy is possessive, agro and punching people in the name of love. Taejoon has been jealous twice, but he's not over the top about it. He's polite, but firmly stakes his claim. I stan.

She knows.

Argh. Wonyoung should have just come clean here. It was the perfect opportunity since Taejoon was admitting he had lied too. He could have saved himself from the world of hurt he's in.

This series has the best hugs. The emotions Cha Seowon is able to portray through each hug is amazing. Taejoon is still traumatized from his last relationship and is so scared Wonyoung will just disappear. You can just feel the fear radiating out of that hug.

People on the bird app are hypothesizing that Wonyoung bumping into the table wasn't scripted. I can see it. Seowon has a bit of a bemused expression and Gongchan looks a bit flustered.

Not Hotae eating the whole cake and offering Donghee only a slice! 😂 As much as I love Taejoon and Wonyoung, we are not getting enough Hotae and Donghee. I need to see Donghee finally accepting Hotae and then being cute bfs right now!

Episode 7 was so cute. Such a stark contrast to episode 8. 😭
