File 2. The End of the Squall (liveblog)
I started a new job and I've been SO BUSY, but this show is very fun to listen to at least. I kept typing and then retyping and explanation of how the episodes bring me joy and how I keep thinking back on them fondly, but then I realized that... that's kind of the point of entertainment? I guess I got kind of used to reading books I don't like or watching mediocre movies over the years, now whenever something is actually good I never shut up about it.
Also, I looked through the episode titles and noticed that all the titles start with what the previous episode's title ended with. I wonder if that has any significance or if it's just a stylistic choice.
Who's the announcer at the beginning of the episode? I dunno, I just found their voice kinda funny. Like, this movie trailer announcer person is just heralding the arrival of an over-enthusiastic nurse.
I wonder why the logo for the series is an hourglass.
Also, why does it play the sounds of frequencies switching and tape recorders flipping on at the beginning? I'm convinced I'm overthinking it at this point.
Wait, 8:75??? It took me a second to catch that, what??
Unrelated, but I wonder who Syd's enemies are
Neadertals
I swear I'll stop bringing it up, but now whenever I think of the word infestation, I just remember episode 39 of the magnus archives. All I can picture now are penguins burrowing into people's bodies and piloting them around like skin mechs
What's Lucille gonna do about PENGUINS, Syd?
I'm gonna start calling myself a flightless bastard
...The penguins were building their numbers until there were enough to properly bury you? I'm sorry I'll stop
(Now I can't stop imagining a circular doorway made of penguins embedded in porous rock from which penguins seep.)
I feel like the flamethrower would've been a better idea Lucille. Also, Syd, don't let the penguins know about the flamethrower!
Jeddy's high on mercury fumes I'm calling it
Glad Syd still had some worms left after Heffalump Man ate them last time. But they just got eaten all over again! :(
Syd: No! Don't kill me! Let me go!! Aaaaaaaaahh!!
The Music: mmmmmwOwOwmmmmm
"wouldn't be the first time" I'm sorry???
I wonder if Lucille is just gonna flame these penguins at the first opportunity. I mean, the main reason they were a threat is because everyone was scattered, right? So when the rain is gone, she can just flame them, right?
You can tell this takes place in a bizarro world because people are going to summer camp in 2021
But the penguins were cruel first, Syd! Let Lucille melt her foes! Cruelty to humans is also animal cruelty...
I can just imagine the deafening silence in all the cabins when Syd goes "Who's the best camp nurse? :D"
Butter for the vegans? Well, at least they got bread...
Sure, it's raining death and you almost got eaten by birds, but cheer up, guys :D
25:25? Like 1:25? Or is this just The Dark Hour?
Maybe Jeddy is secretly a penguin. Or he orchestrated the whole event. I'm telling you, he's evil, I can feel it!
The student list sounds like a "What's would your name be if you were a member of The Mechanisms" name generator thing
Why would you slander Lucille though? (Her flamethrower suddenly made her my favorite character)
I'm the reverse of Sydney, I hate talking and I can only make sense of my thoughts and emotions through writing.
Syd's worried about Jeddy? They're bunking together???
(oh my god they were roommates)
If I didn't nearly fail chemistry, I'd switch from flightless bastard to scrawny science man
Oh, Jeddy is the nurse's assistant. I thought he was just a slightly unnecessary science teacher
Jedidiah Jumpscare!
"project" yeah sure Jeddy..........
See, Jeddy, what you don't understand is that you go to sleep in the morning once and your sleep schedule is messed up for like a month
Jeddy doesn't care about the children confirmed
"You're always fine" YEAH NO THANKS TO YOU JEDDY
"I just stare at the wall for eight hours a night, Syd. It's nothing, don't worry about it."
Goodnight Sydney! Even if you're not really going to sleep
Wait no don't let Jeddy drag you into his awful sleeping habits too!!
Well that was also very fun! I hope Lucille and her flamethrower show up more in the future! I'm also beginning to wonder how long everyone working at the camp have known each other, since apparently Jeddy and Syd are childhood friends and Lucille favors Sydney.
I don't even fully understand why I'm so convinced Jeddy is Bad News. I think his vibes just agitate me? Set me on edge? I don't trust him.
I know Heffalump Man made a bad first impression by eating all your worms, Syd, but he was just trying to communicate his needs! See, he's good at communication! And you always feel so relaxed around him! He's a calming presence :)
What I'm saying is Syd should dump Jeddy for Pink Elephant Man
I'll have some meta up once I've sorted through all my thoughts! See you then!

The positive aspects of studying abroad in Australia include the following:
Diversity in the student population
Never fret about not being able to meet people from your own country here! Australia has witnessed a large number of foreign students attend its universities during the past few decades, making it third in terms of the number of international students after the United States and the United Kingdom. Australia is a highly accessible destination for international students. This is because its study abroad programmes are growing in popularity all over the world. The leading universities extend their arms to international students and offer various programmes and services designed to help students studying abroad get the most out of their academic experience.
International recognition
Many of Australia's top universities offer excellent academic programmes in nursing, healthcare, chemistry, biology, zoology, wildlife, mathematics, technology, and engineering. The fact that the educational degrees earned here are recognised internationally makes participating in an Australia study abroad programme an asset to any student's professional portfolio.
Opportunities for Scholarships
The cost of studying abroad often becomes the primary consideration for individuals who want to pursue an overseas education. In accordance with this, the Australian government puts aside more than $200 million each year exclusively for foreign students going to study at Australian universities. These often depend on merit, and some have application prerequisites such as grade requirements or financial need. Inquire with the university's financial aid office about potential scholarships for students who have been approved to study abroad in Australia.
Part-time work option
International students can lower the cost of studying in Australia by working part-time while they are in the country on a student visa. Students are permitted to work up to 40 hours every two weeks in job roles that simply require simple skills. These jobs include those at fuel stations, restaurants, and university campuses. This can significantly lower the price of education and daily living costs. No work is humiliating because there is dignity in labour. With the minimum salary in Australia being 17 dollars an hour, students may afford to pay for a sizable portion of their living costs, including rent, groceries, utilities, and possibly some tuition as well.
Communication is not an obstacle
International students face various hurdles when studying in a place where English is not the native tongue. Students in some European nations may find it difficult to do simple chores like grocery shopping or asking for directions, but this is not a problem for students in Australia! The Australian accent and the nuances of Australian slang may be a little difficult for some pupils to comprehend at first, but they will quickly get used to it.

Cape Breton University, striking faculty reach tentative agreement
Striking faculty members at Cape Breton University have reached a tentative agreement with the university.
Members of the Cape Breton University Faculty Association (CBUFA) walked off the job Jan. 27.
CBUFA represents librarians, lab instructors, writing centre advisers, archivists, research chairs and nursing practice educators.
At the time, the union said administration disrespected it at every turn, leading to a large number of labour grievances.
The union was also seeking pay raises to deal with the soaring cost of living and called for changes to how the university deals with the rapidly growing population of international students.
The administration said the union was seeking a 14 per cent raise over the next two years.
A wage proposal from the university offered an increase of eight per cent over the next three years, in addition to existing annual step increases.
Faculty members voted 92 per cent in favour of a strike in September.
Most classes have been cancelled since the strike began, with some students joining faculty members on the picket line.
News of the tentative agreement came in a press release Sunday evening -- a full week after discussions led by the Provincial Conciliation Services Division.
The Sydney, N.S., university says the agreement “paves the way for the return to classes for CBU students.”
The agreement now needs to be agreed upon and ratified by CBUFA members before details are made public.
The Cape Breton University Board of Governors has already given its approval.
The university says a vote is expected “quickly” and an announcement will be made before classes resume.

             WELCOME SONG VALENTINE
                                                         TO THE PROMISE LAND
DETAILS
age / age they appear: 25 occupation: local tour guide, nursing assistant student group: the nam pack
PERSONALITY
Valentine is a 25 year old tour guide around the island of Jeju and a nursing assistant student that is associated with the Nam pack. Because of their ideals that often match his own with a bit of push or give; Valentine tends to be a bit shy but not soft spoken, and can come across as confusing at times or unsure of himself, though he rarely is. Because of the tensions between several packs, Valentine often tries to set boundaries or push, not caring much for peoples’ tensions or issues with one another if it has nothing to do with him personally and tries to extend kindness to others in need, especially for work or school. Despite being a nervous rambler, he is very good at his job and enjoys doing walking tours or working tour busses or groups, because as an extrovert he loves to meet new people and rattle off facts about the island.
Being a nursing student, he often tries to insert his help even if it’s not needed, which might come across as people pleaser or pushover, and though he gives second and third chances, he knows when to enforce boundaries with others or with himself. He is sensitive and perceived as a crybaby at times but even so, he very rarely takes things personally which comes in handy at school and at work. Though he is not as street smart as he appears, his emotional intelligence is higher, and he rarely struggles to make meaningful connection with others. Though he is very wary of vampires, he tries not to let any prejudgment obstruct his view of seeing others as different from himself and believes that though they are all different species, they do belong to one collective community.
HISTORY
Valentine was born on Jeju Island on Valentine’s Day, though he didn’t live there for very long, only a few years before starting school overseas.Valentine was raised on the farmlands of Sydney, with his extended family, before going off to boarding school. Growing up, he was often more rambunctious than his siblings and got into more trouble, especially before the moon had an effect on him. After, he became more responsible though susceptible, and withdrew from his family a bit in order to find his own path in life, even if it was something as difficult as the tourism industry but it had been a good way onto the island peacefully without struggling to come into the community. He excelled in the hospitality and tourism industry enough to find room and save up to attend school to become a nurse, hoping to make a comfortable environment for humans and supernaturals alike.
Despite not being raised on Jeju, he remembers it for many reasons, whether it’s the beauty of the island or vast communities of other supernaturals like him that he clings to because of his idealized idea of community. Despite traveling back and forth for school, he settled back in Jeju alone because of how much he missed a palace he never truly knew as home, wanting to give it a chance to actually be home for him. Upon settling, finding out that everything wasn’t as peaceful as he thought was a bit of a worry for him, but he doesn’t regret it at all. Though knowing how sensitive the situation is between packs, he often keeps the thoughts of playing devil’s advocate to himself, understanding both of their POV’s even though he doesn’t agree with the way the Kang pack does things. Though he doesn’t agree, he often tries to extend some sort of truce for peace in case things are actually needed that he can help with and he refuses to turn anyone away, thus leading to the idea that he is a pushover. Though he tries not to deliberately disobey anyone, he often wants to keep out of conflicts and doesn't have the energy to be involved in them, even if he is persuaded to try and form a harder opinion on things.

[ad_1] In 1983 Bob Hawke gained authorities on the again of a marketing campaign of “No Dams”. Could Chris Minns on the subsequent NSW election repeat historical past? John Bailey, Canterbury“People before plants” clearly defines the all-too-common view of our distinctive, advanced, lovely however ever diminishing surroundings. Peter Lane, Margaret River (WA)Fixing crowded hospitals requires good dose of willI first skilled hospital emergency division overcrowding within the Eighties, with lengthy ambulance queues growing within the Nineteen Nineties (“Texts tell of ‘Third World’ conditions in Sydney EDs”, October 6).As a specialist emergency doctor, I've been to extra workshops, coverage opinions and conferences about this challenge than I might poke a stick at. Each 12 months the issue will get worse and spreads wider. It’s time we recognised that the system is designed to overload EDs. While they continue to be the backstop for gaps in each different social and medical service, wants won't ever be met. If we don’t re-direct sufferers who can look ahead to different providers and we don’t transfer out sufferers who want ward beds, EDs will at all times be full and expert employees will proceed to depart out of frustration and exhaustion. We might clear up this tomorrow with the suitable will. Unload all ambulances on arrival. Re-direct sufferers whose situation will not be essential and transfer the backlog of sufferers requiring hospital beds out of ED. Re-purpose concepts from COVID: medi-hotels might accommodate these nearly able to go residence, or solely needing every day care. Sue Ieraci, BalmainCredit:Chris HopkinsOnce once more Brad Hazzard resorts to weasley phrases. How comforting to listen to that he’s “sympathetic” concerning the stress skilled by docs and nurses who merely can’t do their jobs as a result of there are too few of them after we are sick or dying. Kerrie Wehbe, BlacktownThe deterioration of well being providers and public schooling, and the rising variety of households residing in poverty, recommend that in some methods Australia is certainly trending towards Third World standing. Far extra vital than any election promise to scale back taxes is for governments to do their utmost for the well being, schooling and residing requirements of your complete inhabitants. Geoff Harding, ChatswoodWhen I used to be a hospital resident in 1987, no ambulance ever needed to wait longer than 5 minutes to unload its affected person and have them transferred to a mattress and attended. What has modified so dramatically? It will not be the need or the experience of the employees, which has enormously improved. The solely issue is the inhabitants enhance since then, unmatched by an efficient, inflation managed enhance in hospital funds. What did the federal government boffins assume was going to occur to hospital care? Who has benefitted from this enhance in inhabitants, when individuals can now not be cared for and even stored alive when sick or injured? Who wins? Not these within the ambulance or the ready room. Jennifer Briggs, Kilaben BayAll lecturers deserve a pay riseWho is deserving of a pay rise amongst our public college lecturers (“One in 10 teachers could get pay boost”, October 6)? Is it the instructor at a prime selective college whose college students all obtain band six within the HSC? Is it the instructor of 12 months 8 music or a language who conjures up their children to comply with the topic on in later years? Is it the instructor in a distant space who manages to get children to return to high school and builds social cohesion in among the most difficult circumstances? There are myriad methods during which a instructor can obtain excellence and few of them will be measured on a inflexible scale decided by “policy experts”. Higher salaries for all lecturers will entice just a few of the very best and the brightest, decreasing the workload will entice much more, as will the popularity that being a public college instructor is a invaluable and revered profession.
Peter Cooper-Southam, Frenchs ForestWhy would so-called specialists in schooling imagine that paying high-performing lecturers greater than different lecturers will cease lecturers leaving the classroom? Who will assess the lecturers for his or her pay rise? How would a instructor really feel realizing the instructor within the subsequent classroom is being paid extra for doing the identical job? So many questions and so few solutions. Robyn Lewis, RaglanSo, 90 per cent of lecturers can be completely happy to see the opposite 10 per cent paid extra, whereas they proceed to be underpaid, under-resourced and undervalued. That’ll encourage individuals to fill the 1000's of gaps which might be already within the system. Bill Irvine, GoulburnYou would assume by now the Premier, Education Minister and the entire authorities would get it. Teachers aren’t leaving in droves due to the pay, it's the workload and situations. Earlier this week the concept of lengthening the varsity day was floated. This will ship much more lecturers packing. Improve the situations, reduce the workload after which, and solely perhaps, will you entice and retain extra lecturers. Peter Miniutti, AshburyLabor’s tax downsideMy major causes for voting for Labor this time was the dedication to addressing local weather change, the Voice to Parliament and a nationwide ICAC (“Ministers at odds over tax cut debate”, October 6). I didn't vote Labor in order that the wealthy might obtain tax breaks on the expense of the needy. So far, though Labor has demonstrated larger integrity and intelligence than the Coalition, I stay upset by the dearth of motion on addressing local weather change and tax breaks for the wealthy. Jennie Lindbergh, DarlingtonThe PM must stamp out any debate over the 2024 tax cuts. What is completed is completed and it will be very silly to present ammunition to a weak Opposition to take advantage of. The authorities must be sensible about this and cope with the elephant within the room – tax reform. A summit may very well be held throughout the subsequent 18 months in order that the emphasis is on structural change to a system that's buckling below the burden of its reliance on revenue tax. Michael Blissenden, DuralLabor ought to by no means have supported the stage three tax cuts. They are massively inequitable as they so favour the rich. Really, why ought to somebody on a primary revenue of $46,000 be in the identical tax bracket as somebody incomes $199,000 (30 cents within the greenback). It is principally an try by the Coalition to introduce their flat tax coverage by stealth because it eliminates one tier of the tax brackets. Malcolm Freak, ArmidaleSo fascinating that these politicians arguing for the tax cuts are all going to get essentially the most monetary benefit. A person’s gotta chortle. Barry Ffrench, CronullaBring them residenceThe authorities has generously supplied to carry residence ISIS wives and kids (Letters, October 6) who (even when solely minimally) supported the violent overthrow of a variety of governments, and but it appears to have little interest in bringing residence Julian Assange, who has solely sought to inform us what our governments are actually doing. What about some compassion for this Australian citizen too, Mr Albanese? Lee Cook, OrangePeter Dutton tries to justify the earlier authorities’s lack of humanity in refusing to repatriate girls and kids from Syria. His considerations for nationwide safety are fairly pathetic when there are 40 kids and solely 20 girls concerned. If he's so involved maybe he can persuade the Albanese authorities to spend a pathetically small quantity of our defence price range to watch these girls. Peter Rose, JamberooFor the primary time, I agree with Peter Dutton. Bringing the ISIS girls and kids could be very harmful for Australia. I imagine it's much more vital that we needs to be attempting to carry the stranded Afghans, who helped us towards the Taliban, to security in Australia,
and it's positively time we made certain that Julian Assange was free and in a position to come residence. Pam Nankivell, ParkesAirport connectionMany passengers on the new airport (Letters, October 6) can have connecting flights with Mascot airport. A line by way of Leppington would provide a direct and shorter journey east to Mascot just a few kilometres away. Why go on a tour north to St Mary’s that's a lot additional away and can take for much longer? Plus, think about the additional prices. Alberto Bizcarra, RozelleLoretta was higherLoretta LynnCredit:APLoretta Lynn (“Country legend Lynn dies at age 90”, October 6) was as soon as requested how she wish to be remembered. She mentioned: “As a good person. Someone who never hurt nobody.” I ponder how many individuals in energy can be remembered that method? Rajend Naidu, GlenfieldOver the rainbowRegarding rainbows (Letters, October 6), my fridge magnet says: “Some people walk in the rain, others just get wet.” A rule I attempt to dwell by. Llieda Wild, EastwoodJo Rainbow from Orange says her rainbow connection is life-enhancing for her husband. I ponder if his identify is Roy G Biv? Surely they'd be a fairly vibrant couple from a vibrant city. Denis Goodwin, Dee WhyLost heritageAny replace on when the NSW authorities plans to reassemble Parramatta’s heritage-listed Willow Grove? Martin Frohlich, Adamstown HeightsQuite oppositeIt’s disappointing that a main disaster like some Danish princes and princesses shedding their titles was relegated to web page 22 of the Herald (“There’s something about Mary in title fight”). The downside is with retaining latest graduates who're burning out below the large burden of non-teaching administrative duties on prime of all of the unpaid class prep outdoors of working hours. No quantity of fiddling across the edges will redress this. The solely resolution is to spend so much extra money, both to pretty compensate lecturers for the actual quantity of labor they do, or to rent extra administrative assist employees to minimize their burden. If she had their memories, Romane would know things up until right before everyone turned back into their proper ages and she still has her freezing ability.
What was their fake life like?
With Romane currently having no memories, they still think this life is the only one they know (despite having met two people now from real life,) and she wouldn't complain about how her life looks right now. Things do sometimes feel out of place, but there hasn't been too much worrying or questioning about it....yet.

To summarise:
This episode is brought to you by Guinness. The beer. Not the Record Book.
Percival Pickens finally visits the Babylonium. Now that he’s a town council member and not a lowly deputy, he needs better accommodation. He asks Veronica for one of the casino’s Champagne Suites. He tries to win her over by mentioning his crooner abilities and the fact that he can afford three years’ worth of rent.
Percival is apparently a seasoned performer, with appearances at Caesar’s Palace, the Sydney Opera House and Moulin Rouge, which are all interchangeable in the writers’ minds. Australian Friends, are you amused?
Veronica, one of Riverdale’s many many resident crooners, is less interested in Percival’s musical versatility and more impressed by the cash.
Now that Abigail is exorcised, Cinderbritta can finally go home. Goodbye, tiny sapphic footballer, it was nice to hear you talk.
It is yet another town meeting and Percival Pickens has taken Pop’s out of the town sign. It’s an aesthetic decision, he says. Tabitha is furious, although the change from ‘Pep!’ to ‘Pop’s!’ has been but very recent.
Remember how the town council was against Babylonium? No? No worries. Neither do the writers. Truly, there’s nothing more consistent than Alice’s inconsistency.
Jughead informs Betty and Archie that if they have an emotional tether, they can fight Percival’s mind control. Betty mistakes emotional tether for emotional burden and suggests Polly and her mom as her own.
It is obviously impossible to share this information with the rest of the town, lest Percival Pickens’s storyline comes to a premature end. Instead, they’re going to remind the people of the town of their core values: i.e. Archie’s abs. Because high school drop-out Archie Andrews is “the authentic American folk hero”.
“Not everyone sees me in that light” says Archie, who -surprisingly enough- remembers that EVERYONE had outvoted him during the last town meeting.
Brace yourselves, because it’s take-a-shot-every-time-Fred-is-mentioned-Sunday. Here goes shot #1.
Apparently, Samm Pansky knows someone in the Guinness Records. Jughead, who just wants an excuse to reconnect with his ex literary agent, proposes a series of feats that will get Archie in the Guinness Book.
Cheryl Blossom has commented on her own hotness so many times, she manifested it into a literal superpower.
Night nurse Darius is (re)hired to make sure she doesn’t go boom in her sleep. She doesn’t. Darius, however, is another story.
Having experienced RHS both as a student and as a teacher, Jughead comes to the conclusion that what will fill the youths of Riverdale with a personal and civic pride, instill in them values and remind them to think for themselves is certainly not Wetherbee’s joke of a school but El Royale.
Archie’s two passions are -verbatim- : physical fitness and serving and inspiring the community. Riverdale is top tier comedy.
In a surprise move, Archie’s prowess is NOT tested in the football field.
There are a lot of invincible men but Archie is “the most invincible” of them all. Archie didn’t pass his SAT, so he does not know how absolute adjectives work. He could have written “ the mostest invincible” though, so, I’m counting this as a win.
Veronica-curse-your-broad-shoulders-Lodge, who doesn’t know about Archie’s superpower, is greatly impressed by his fitness feats.
According to the Guinness Book of Records, Archie is now the world’s toughest man. Fred, says Archie, used to keep a copy of that book in the john. Which is exactly where this storyline belongs.
Hey! That was a line about Fred! Bottoms up!
Next stop: Archie will fight KO Kelly.
Jughead has commissioned a statue grand scale Archie fanart piece from his New York artist friends. Nobody fanboys like Jughead Jones. Nobody.
Business entrepreneur Tabitha Tate (who has left a six figure CEO job in Chicago) has not checked her finances before Percival mentions it. Both Toni and Tabitha seem surprised by the idea that not only liquor but also -gasp!- food is served at a casino. They visit Babylonium to further investigate.
Just like everyone else in Riverdale, Percival’s favourite pastime is … singing. There is a direct connection between town meetings and musical numbers. When there’s not one, there’s bound to be the other.
Dr Curdle Jr, coroner extraordinaire, diagnoses dead Darius with a case of SPC i.e. Spontaneous Human Combustion.
Another mention of Fred, another shot. Them are the rules.
Toni and Tabitha decide to level up in order to compete with Veronica’s casino. “I’m your private dancer, a dancer for money” they sing in a revamped Serpent Dance female emancipation side story.
Veronica of La Bonne Nuit fame is furious. Only she dances for money in this town, dammit!
Betty doesn’t see Cheryl’s aura, so I assume she’s not a threat to her. She could have told her that, instead she douses her in ice baths.
She then reaches out to Special FBI Agent Wolf Bulder. No, I jest. Her name is Agent Drake. She suggests Cheryl has pyrokinetic abilities. With a straight a face. 1 riverdollar says Agent Drake has been in Riverdale before.
Fangs, who was in jail for keeping illegal guns in the Fogarty-Topaz residence, is anxious that Toni’s pole dancing will be bad for Baby Anthony’s custody battle.
Tumblr media
Percival overplays his hand with Veronica and suggests she firebombs Pop’s. Veronica throws him out of her office but not out of the Casino.
For narrative purposes (there’s still 10+ mins before this episode is done) Percival decides not to try to manipulate Veronica’s thoughts but rather KO Kelly’s. He makes him walk into traffic. A fitting punishment for anyone stupid enough to come back to Riverdale.
Archie will fight Percival instead. They arrange this over the phone. Archie’s on his i-phone, Percival on his early 20th-century candlestick telephone. Oh Riverdale! (affectionate)
It’s that take-a-shot-for-Fred time again.
Agent Betty Cooper learns the basic physics of pyrokinesis from F.B.I. Agent Drake. Girl, didn’t you go to Yale or something?
Veronica learns that boyfriend and co-owner of Babylonium Reggie has taken 3 slot machines to Mantle Motors. They break up, which means he is no longer co-owner of the casino, because this is how business partnerships work in Riverdale.
Percival sees Toni and Tabitha at the casino and wants to know what they were doing there. Veronica, who doesn’t own Hiram 2.0 Percival an explanation, tells him everything: she, Toni and Tabitha will partner up.
Pop Tate is not ok with liquor being served at the Diner but has no problem with the diner having a booth at the casino. Pop Tate has had an alien encounter while tripping on mushrooms back in the 70s; we don’t judge him.
Bottoms Up! For Fred, guys!
With the two contenders named Percival and Archibald, I was hoping for some jousting or, at least, sword fighting, but no. It’s another boxing match. Bo-ring.
Fred mini-montage: double the scenes, double the tequila.
Jiminy Cricket Jones tries to keep Archie focused but fails. After all, all Jughead knows about boxing is that one-move ko.
Percival uses palladium in his gloves. Which still doesn’t explain how he wins. Archie might not be invulnerable but isn’t he supposed to be an ex professional fighter and a trained soldier?
Ah … the epic highs and lows of adult boxing ...
The whole town celebrates. I am the whole town.
Percival learned Archie’s secret weakness, because he manipulated Betty’s mind. Polly and Alice were not Betty’s tether after all …
Tumblr media
Next episode is about Tabitha Tate. How do I know? The writers explicitly said so.
Toffee has also entered into a partnership and teamed up with Cheryl. She’s opened a toasted marshmallow booth at the Babylonium.

Faculty at Cape Breton University go on strike to back demands for higher wages
Some faculty members at Cape Breton University have walked off the job.
Their strike started Friday, with the faculty's union saying the administration has disrespected it at every turn, leading to a large number of labour grievances.
The union issued a statement saying it is seeking pay raises to deal with the soaring cost of living, but it is also calling for changes to how the university is dealing with a rapidly growing population of international students.
The Cape Breton University Faculty Association represents librarians, lab instructors, writing centre advisers, archivists, research chairs and nursing practice educators.
The administration issued a statement assuring students that no Canadian university has ever lost a term to strike, though it confirmed that most classes have been cancelled.
The university's latest wage proposal offers an an increase of eight per cent over the next three years, in addition to existing annual step increases. The administration says the union is seeking a 14 per cent raise over the next two years.
Meanwhile, the union says the university is dealing with more grievances than any other university in Canada
Faculty members voted 92 per cent in favour of a strike in September.
In October, the Association of Atlantic Universities issued a report saying that as of this fall, nearly 4,000 international students were enrolled at Cape Breton University out of about 5,900 total students.
That was up from about 2,400 international students in 2021, when the school had about 4,200 students.
In 2017, the university had fewer than 900 international students among a student body of about 2,600.
Last month, the university's administration said it was limiting enrolment to a popular business program following concerns the school is not equipped to handle the recent influx of international students.
The university has limited admissions to its two-year post-baccalaureate diploma program starting May 2023.
Based in Sydney, N.S., the university in the fall semester held classes for that program at the downtown Cineplex cinemas -- about nine kilometres from campus -- because of a lack of teaching space. All but two of the 2,681 people enrolled in the post-baccalaureate program are international students, and 85 per cent of those foreign students are from India.
The recent spike in international enrolment follows targeted recruitment in India that began in 2018.
This report by The Canadian Press was first published Jan. 28, 2023.

i literally just read what you did with the idea of the school LI as teachers and hnnnggg although i do like youre arrangement of their positions better (i also can’t see kylar ever hiring whitney) god everything you write gives me jitters!! you should consider expanding on that type of plot sometime🥰
<33333 im glad you appreciate my writing so much!!! <33!! and i don't mind rambling a bit more about the positions i thought of,, maybe this isn’t exactly the type of ideas you wanted to see but you can always request smth specific! if anyone else has any other ideas feel free to dump them in my inbox ^^!!
i was just thinking of letting leighton remain the headmaster? they would keep whitney on board because they are fucked up like they are, would join their class on occasion to watch. whitney loathes them and doesn’t want to be in the same room, but hey, they get paid for doing whatever they want. it's not likely they'll get a better offer. as they’ve grown up, whitney has gotten even more bitter about the town’s dark nature and have largely drifted apart with the friends they used to torment others with. they feel like the only one still stuck like this.
kylar as a teacher... honestly, i don’t know if i imagine their students would listen surprisingly well to someone so softspoken and tiny because of the unnerving energy they give off, or that all their classes would be a complete mess. (even then, not as bad as robin’s.) they aren’t phased by insults or threats slung their way, or even most people finding them weird- it’s been a fact of their life for so long now they simply don’t know any better. most likely to fall for a good student, someone who’s nice and respects them. they’ll leave (questionable) poems they wrote for you on their desk, long before any student enters the room. you’ll get picked out to read passages the most because listening to your voice is calming. pretends you’re doing worse than you actually are so they have an excuse to keep you after class. after more years alone, they’re almost more desperate and delusional than their teenaged self, more likely to turn forceful after misinterpreting your behaviour towards them.
as science teacher, sydney makes pepper spray in secret and will distribute it to students they often find roughed up. they’re dubbed the school nurse because they will patch you up, whether you like it or not. sydney would take the most convincing to do anything with a student, and would be disgusted with themselves for any feelings towards you. it’d keep them up at night. but they’re so pent up after years upon years of acting like they have no sexual urges at all, and if you push their buttons, you might find that cave a bit easier than you might expect. you’re going to have to take the lead, though.
since they are fully aware their classes are a nightmare, robin prepares notes with all the important information to hand out at the end for anyone who wants them. to the surprise of no one, this ensures that nobody ever listens anymore. they are honestly one breakdown away from quitting the job. (speaking of breakdowns, if you go up to them and effort them some comfort, tell them you’re sorry for how they’re always being treated, they’re very likely to get emotional. they’ll try to hide it, though. but they’re prone to secretly getting more attached to you than they should.) the only reason they’re still there is because they haven’t found anything better yet.
