[ ๐ฅ๐จ๐ง๐ ๐ข๐ง๐  ] : receiver notices sender looking at them longingly. ( misa to soryn )
" you get comfortable right there and i will be back soon with soup, okay? " soryn smiles, kissing her forehead and heading into the kitchen. they've been happy to take care of her during her sabbatical from modeling, even whenever she falls ill with a cold. right now, she's curled up on the couch, bundled up in blankets. soryn wanted her to stay in bed but she wanted to watch movies and cuddle up against them, and, usually, misa got what misa wanted. they don't mind obliging her, they just wish she'd get more rest! rest always does the human body good. and now she's hungry, which is good, so soryn offered to make soup for her.
soryn decides to make something fairly quick and definitely easy: chicken noodle soup. it seems to be what a lot of humans enjoy when they're under the weather. getting the noodles, chicken broth and seasonings from the pantry, they cast a glance toward misa as they head back into the kitchen, just a cursory glance to make sure she's still okay, and they stop just inside of the kitchen. are... are they imagining things? are their eyes playing tricks on them? never before has someone looked at soryn with longing, such yearning. they would look back to double check, but her attention is probably already back in the television. were they merely imagining that look in her eyes? is it wishful thinking? soryn sets everything on the counter, unsure. it's... no, no, surely it's only wishful thinking. they saw only what they wanted to see. there's no way they have a chance with someone as sweet and kind and wonderful and beautiful as the misa amane.
...right?
the demon's mind runs a mile a minute as they resume their meal preparation in the kitchen. of course they don't have a chance. what a silly and stupid thing to believe. they sigh softly to themself and shake their head. she's an amazing human being and they're, well, them. a demon. though misa knows well enough about that by now, soryn is sure she wouldn't want them because of that. of course she wouldn't. and yet... despite what seems like the high probability that she could never want them, they do want her. they want to be hers and they want her to be theirs, together forever. or rather... until misa passes of old age. that day will come and it'll hurt, soryn knows that. they also know of that age old quote, ''tis better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all'. despite their own silly worries, she did look longingly at them, didn't she? maybe... they do have a chance.
soryn soon finished in the kitchen, bringing with them a piping hot bowl of soup, a folded dish towel tucked under their arm. they gaze warmly down at her, a gentle smile forming on their lips. they say that when you look at someone you love, your pupils dilate, and soryn's pupils are in fact dilated, because gods, they love misa. they kiss her fever-warmed forehead and place the folded towel in her hands before placing the bowl atop the towel, just so she wouldn't have to worry about burning her hands.

" here you go, misa. homemade soup, just for you. " because there's little soryn wouldn't do for her.
