Hello! I wanted to rec a fic on ao3 called "Restoration" by jelenedra. It's complete, an alternate universe of the sunshot campaign told nonlinearly. It has strong fairy tale and fae elements, with a touch of mystery. Bit of a fix it. Some delightful one liners, and the final ending imagery is just LOVELY. The fic deserves much more love. There's also some YilingWei, wwx not raised by Jiang, and sentient Burial Mounds elements. Enchanting read that keeps you enthralled and curious and intrigued.

hello mojo! i was wondering if I could make a fic rec? it’s called “and the calm is deep where the quiet waters flow” by izanyas. it used to be on ao3 but the author has since moved it to eir own website and has started posting updates there. i was wondering if this could also act as a signal boost bc some old readers on ao3 might not have known that it is now on another website.   Author's been through a tough time so I think it deserves a lot more love.

For new readers, please mind the warnings in the prologue and the beginning of each chapter! it’s omegaverse and a very heavy read as it deals with (possible spoiler) off-screen rape that results in an unwanted pregnancy, as well as secondary gender oppression which runs deep, but for people who can bear it the writing, worldbuilding, and emotions are truly spectacular.

Hello Mojo! I dunno if this's been recced before, but here's another ficrec for you? It's complete, on ao3, "The Third Young Master of Qishan Wen" by KouriArashi. It's 'if wwx was raised by dafan wen, but gets recognized as 3rd heir due to his skill' scenario. Some really nice banter and characterization. Wwx and lz get together before the sunshot campaign. Story follows the live action but diverges into au, and does some cool callbacks to original canon. Love Meng Yao in this!  [Oh, I know KouriArashi from my last fandom, I love her works!]

Xicheng parent trap au with background wangxian beings disgustingly in love and scheming juniors

i am so sorry for delaying this so much!! my extent of parent trap knowledge is like one pjo fic i read years ago, so i tried to research it and have no idea how any of the juniors can pull off masquerading as each other, so i decided to tweak it a bit.

in this au, the juniors are all sent to the same summer camp (bad idea) courtesy of a lowkey scheming wwx, who may or may not have hinted at jl that his uncle has an old bf from college, and that they should get back together and be gay haha just kidding... unless?

anyways, a plotting jl is sent to summer camp w/ his only friend oyzz. jk, jk, his only friend is fairy, oyzz is like, a nice acquaintance (dad’s business partner’s son). while there, they happen to bump into a certain lan duo.

(hint: they’re not brothers.)

so ljy and jl are arguing as usual, and lsz is questioning how they already got into this mess, and oyzz is just chillin’. then, oyzz is like “wait a sec, so i know you?” and lsz introduces himself and slowly but surely, the pieces are coming together in jl’s mind. jl then proceeds to interrogate lsz bc he needs as much info about his uncle and the guy that made his irrationally angry grape uncle happy.

(jl is still trying to put jc and being happy together in his mind. not working.)

so jl discovers that lsz is lxc’s adoptive nephew. (oyzz recognized him bc he talked to lsz at some huge, stuffy gala that jl had opted to miss) and then gets oyzz onto the plot bc oyzz is a sucker for romantic stuff. oyzz and ljy have already become friends for their love of romance, so ljy gets dragged along (read: drags them along) and lsz joins them cause 1) ljy and 2) uhhh is there another reason? happy uncle ig.

ofc, being the juniors, they do not have a plan on how to force jc to see lxc again. lsz says that lxc would be more than willing, it was just jc that needed the convincing.

and what better convincing than jl being forced to stay at the cloud recesses for a couple weeks?

jingyi hatches a plan (chaotic as usual, which wwx was probably depending on lol) to switch jl and lsz’s places. it’s quite simple, really. neither of their guardians are picking them up from the camp directly, bc they’re both very busy, so the juniors are trusted to be able to take a plane home themselves (well, the tickets were already bought).

so they spend the summer teaching jl all the lan rules so he can break all of them. lsz and ljy prepare for the longest they’ll have been separated, which if all goes to plan, will be about a month. lsz and oyzz will go get jc to go pick up jl and if that doesn’t work, jl and ljy will get lxc to go.

and believe it or not? it w o r k s. a little too well, actually.

jc is mad af and immediately gets on a flight to the cloud recesses, dragging the oyzz and lsz with him. he’s ranting the whole time bc he doesn’t want to see his stupid brother and his stupid husband and his brother’s husband’s stupidly handsome brother.

Lan Sizhui and Ouyang Zizhen are not equipped to deal with this JC, so they just stay quiet. Lsz probably just happy to see ljy again.

Meanwhile, ljy and jl have successfully broken a good portion of Lan Qiren’s rules. Lwj wants to know where the hell his son is, wwx is excited cause his brother is gonna be here soon (!!), and lxc is nervous. Ljy and wwx both give him love advice, but we all know that jl is the best matchmaker (second to lxc, ofc).

Also, jl knows jc the best of all of em (& maybe wwx but like,, they haven’t spoken in a while).

As soon as JC & co. arrive, LXC really is having a gay panic, LWJ and LJY are equally happy at Sizhui’s return (it’s been like.. one day?? but lwj hasn’t seen him all summer), and jl and oyzz are also there.

JC’s like “ok we’re done here-” but jl refuses to leave until lxc and jc talk out their problems or whatever. jc is glaring at him but wwx’s offers to house everyone (bc his brother really needs to get some).

Since they are so many people, lxc and jc have to bunk together *gasp*.

Jl and lxc have a moment where lxc asks him why he cares so much about jc and him getting together, and jl is just like “you made him happy. that never happens.”. in all seriousness, jl knows that jc always looks regretful/yearning whenever he mentions lxc (hc that jl is like actually observant). so he’s just like “get together so my uncle will be happy plez” and lxc’s like “ok then.”

it’s mutual ofc, so lxc eventually convinces jc. everyone is v. happy, especially wwx. lwj even “mn”s a couple times!! jl

lol i have no idea why i got a xicheng ask but it’s very welcome!! honestly lxc and jc have so many ships with other people that it’s hard to keep track of, i say as i list every popular-ish ship w/ them in my head. anyways, i was just surprised cause i’m more of a juniors blog, but i always welcome other mdzs ships! as long as i’m okay with them, ofc. ty for the ask, anon, and again, sorry for the wait!
