#out of character #anxiety assuaged I'm finally going through drafts #and while I've mostly handwaved Nabs' becoming heirophant through a combination of “the ancestors told the dying heirophant to” #and “right place right time” #I'm realizing that a lot of it was her mother was an absolute religious nutjob #and nabs was able to sidestep the fanatacism while retaining the dedication to cleric knowledge #so ashio just went “oh you're the only good things about your mother you'll be fine” #and promptly croaked #much to Nabooru's chagrin
