Yyyyeah, I definitely gotta replace the thermal compound and do a general cleanup of the inside of my laptop, last summer it definitely did NOT reach 70°C while idling, it didn't even really reach that while I was playing The Sims

#the fans are located in such a way that you gotta take off the heatsink to get to the fans #so I've gotten by these past 4 years just blowing compressed air into what I could manage to reach #but this is abnormal and I'm worried #so #gotta clean that up #found a relatively cheap compound with good reviews #since I'm bleeding money right now #it should be available for pickup tomorrow #we'll see how it goes
