feel free to adjust wording/pronouns/etc as needed!
1x03: “Omashu” & 1x04: “Into the Dark”
“everything is set. we strike tonight.”
“we don't need numbers. we have our anger. we have our grief.”
“you must have known this was a one-way journey.”
“do not speak to me of loss.”
“my compliments on making it this far.”
“find a place where emotion meets spirit. a place deep in thought. tap into your feelings and gather energy from them.”
“they always said i never listened. i think that's what they said. i never listened.”
“we shouldn't stay in the same place for too long.”
“of course, i have no idea what she saw in you.”
“we have a window of opportunity.”
“i don't like him.”
“did i ask for your opinion?”
“they don't take kindly to outsiders here.”
“what makes you think we're outsiders?”
“so how do you know we're not a threat?”
“be careful. this can be a dangerous place.”
“are you all right? are you hurt?”
“what were you doing out there?”
“you mean that wasn't an accident?”
“it's not safe anywhere these days.”
“do you realize what this means? we finally have a way to take the fight to the enemy.”
“it can get bloody.”
“i wanna help. and i think i can.”
“was your life really in danger?”
“there are always ways to get in the game if you know which pieces to play.”
“we know what it means to be on our own.”
“big talk for someone who's outnumbered.”
“we're the good guys.”
“protecting the ones we love is important.”
“it's not always easy to find your path in life but when you find it, you must embrace it.”
“we have to do everything we can to save the world. because if not us, then who?”
“you live here?”
“someone was here recently.”
“i know what it's like to lose family too.”
“i try not to think about it, but...recently it's been coming back to me.”
“you have to use everything inside you to help you fight.”
“we don't have to be afraid of our pain. we just need to decide what we're gonna do with it.”
“innocent people are gonna die!”
“that's the price of freedom.”
“it's too late! there's nothing you can do to stop it.”
“shut up and gloat later.”
“this is my fight.”
“why is this so important to you?”
“my cabbages!”
“there's been a mistake!”
“save your voice.”
“these are most definitely not the best of circumstances.”
“what do you think will happen to us?”
“in my experience, they aren't exactly kind to their fallen foes.”
“is it true? were you working with the enemy?”
“anything can be turned into a weapon in the wrong hands.”
“you know what it means to make hard choices.”
“we do what we must to survive. we compromise, just enough to get by.”
“cities are like people. they always have their dark sides.”
“seems pretty dark on all the sides, these days.”
“no one who's been sent there has ever been heard from again.”
“any resistance and they'll send everything they've got at us.”
“it's time to stop hiding. it's time to fight.”
“how are you still alive?”
“you betrayed us.”
“i stopped you from killing innocent people.”
“not everyone out there is the enemy.”
“you have to make hard decisions. that's what it means to fight a war.”
“i thought you were on our side. on my side.”
“you've forgotten what you're fighting for.”
“you're not fighting for anything you love, you're fighting because of hate!”
“wait...was this a test?”
“this is important! don't you care?”
“you dare tell me i should care?”
“have you watched your whole world burn down around you?”
“you can't make me believe you've lost hope. not you.”
“what are you doing here?”
“yeah, i wouldn't go in there.”
“love is brightest in the dark. remember that.”
“there's no such thing as angry spirits.”
“i don't have a choice. it's where i need to go.”
“the direct path is not always the best path.”
“you should be careful where you step.”
“what are you trying to prove?”
“maybe i'm trying to show you there are no easy journeys.”
“the map's unclear, but i got a hunch.”
“my problem is you're not taking me seriously.”
“you were a butcher.”
“i can still smell smoke when i go to sleep at night. it never really goes away.”
“war pushes us to the edge. some of us don't like what we find there.”
“it's true, isn't it? you have no humanity.”
“you know nothing of loss.”
“you're getting good at that.”
“it was nice to hear someone tell me i had something to offer the world.”
“nothing has made sense in a hundred years!”
“this isn't who you are.”
“it's all about games with you, isn't it?”
“let's play one final game.”
“can we do i-told-you-so later?”
“any chance i imagined that?”
“we've all seen enough death.”
“that's what you get for showing them compassion.”
“i think you should rest.”
“we have to leave. now.”
“what's going on? are we dead?”
“some of us have to fight, even when we don't want to. that's what it means to be in a war!”
“you'd have known about that if you'd been around, but you weren't.”
“in this world, you can't rely on anyone. even your friends.”
“as fun as this has been, it's time for the games to end.”
“this isn't a game!”
“cheater! you cheated!”
“you were wrong. you can rely on your friends.”
“you think like a child.”
“you wanna come with me?”
“everything i need is on this boat.”
