Okay, so, apparently Elon put up his new "X" sign to mark his territory on the Twitter HQ building, and apparently the sign's not only a cheap, slapped-together rushjob piece of shit that uses the exact same too-bright LED lights that people complain about in modern car headlights, but it has a regularly occurring strobe effect. As in it intentionally blinks like strobe light every 5-15 minutes or so.
Not only is this peak edgelord twelve-year-old boy aesthetic, this shit could seriously injure kill people. People have been reporting that merely the video people have recorded of this dumbass sign has triggered seizures in them. (Seriously, don't look up the video unless you're 100% positive you're not photosensitive in any way, and don't post it as anything but a link with a warning anywhere that has autoplay out of courtesy for disabled viewers.) There is an apartment building directly across the street that's filled with studio apartments that, if the building plans people shared are correct, have absolutely no way to escape this blinding rave light unless the occupant hides in their bathroom.
At this point, I don't know what it's going to take for that whiny douchebag princeling to face consequences he actually feels, at least enough to be discouraged from pulling stupid bullshit like this. At what point is Daddy's Emerald Mine Money not going to be enough to keep bailing him out of consequences for violating building codes, labor laws, civil rights laws, the friggin' ADA, and not paying his damn rent like the rest of us?

PLEASE NOTE / BEFORE YOU COMMENT: You do not have to click on any of the links listed below, they are listed there for proof & your own curiosity. Second Note, please do not harass me directly because you feel that I should not be considered a successful entrepreneur or a good author because I do not meet your specific criteria (or for any other reason). I am just sharing my experience on here, in hopes that it will help some of you, like others on this sub have helped me.. ** TLDR BELOW. **If you are still reading, Thank You. I am a long time r/Entrepreneur Reddit reader (lurker), and I have been visiting this sub (as well as other Reddit Subs like r/Startups r/SmallBusiness r/Ecommerce r/Amazon Seller) in the hopes that I would read post or comments from real people that would inspire me, push me, or influence me in one way or another. There are a lot of amazing people on this website, and sometimes a random comment can teach you a thing-or-two. A little about me (you can find out more info by using link below). I’ve been a technical support engineer for the longest part of my life (Educational background is IT), and I have been trying different venues to get away from the 9-to-5 career. I’ve done Blogging, Ebook writing, Resume assistance, Coaching, and other gigs, that did not panned out too great, but have all helped me shaped me, my goals, expectations, and were a huge learning experience. I have also read many entrepreneur books from cover-to-cover for the past 8 years, to force me to think outside of my own box. During my research, I found that I am really great at helping others with fixing their weaknesses, and that has helped me in my past resume building gigs, and in-person-coaching for interviews, and also assisting folks starting small local or online businesses. I am currently an Amazon seller, and an Ebook author, and will continue to do both until I feel that one is best in the long time run. I do not consider myself a professional coach/writer/seller, but I have read enough and failed enough that I can point others in the right direction to help. Link to my Amazon Author Page: https://www.amazon.com/-/e/B0776MQ8YN . Story time. 10 years ago, I had a really bad day at work with something that was not my fault, and completely out of my control (Company policy, the manager did not want to budge, and the client tore me a new asshole), and decided that after working full time for so many years, I would just quit (2 weeks / Good Standing) and start my own business. I had a good amount of money saved, and also an untapped 401k that I could exploit if things did not work out. I also figured that if I did not go “all-the-way-in”, I would probably not take any of it seriously. That decision was the first (of many) mistakes in my adult life (take it from me: Do not leave your job until your side business makes enough profit to at least pays your monthly rent/bills). Not only do businesses take months and even years to make a profit, I had a young family & other responsibilities. So the pressure to make blood come out of stone, was huge. Not only did I have to proof to myself that I could do it, I also had 4 other people asking me daily “how are things going…..when are we getting rich??!!.....”. Secondly, I had a really hard time putting my self out there due being shy. I had also problems marketing my self properly, and promoting my services online & locally. Most people think that it is easy to post something online, and the next day that the money will star pouring in. Let me tell you, it is not as easy as posting an ad on craigslist, or paying for clicks on Google, or getting a marketing company to help, and I had an even harder time getting new or repeat clients to make any of it worth while. Books that helped me change from the employee mentality, to the entrepreneur mindset. (I am not promoting them, just being honest.)The Lean StartupZero to OneThe $100 StartupThe Hard Things about Hard ThingsThink & Grow RichEntrepreneur Mind During the first year I opened up a Resume helping website (this was during the recession) , a local Coaching gig (for job hunting, interview, public speaking), and a local Video restoration business (restoring old videos VHS/Homemade/Weddings etc) all-at-once, which was my second entrepreneur mistake. When you have multiple things going on at once, you can not really focus on any of them, or give them 100%, let alone 50%. I also started blogging daily, since I thought that I could share with other people everything that I was doing, since I figured it would be pretty simple to type a few sentences, place a photo and call it a day (in my mind, the views would be over 1,000,000 a month since bloggers & Youtubers make it look easy). Like the funny meme goes, 1. Start multiple businesses, 2. ????, 3. Profit!. After struggling heavily with reality, I got my self a remote online job (part time) to pay rent/bills, because I saw the stress my family felt. I think thats when I also started looking at my work realistically, and asking various people for their feedback, to see their honest response. From the feedback that I received, which was a nice wake up call for me (most people said that what they read was Okay, but not good-enough for them to pay for it as a service), I decided to stick with coaching (which after a year also did not work out) as well, and then I just quit everything for a couple of months. After failing miserably, I lost my drive, but kept researching on the side, coming to forums (like this one), and finally got a second part time job, honestly I was at the verge of just going back to a full time 9-to-5. I was talking with one of my childhood friend from the not-so-nice part of New York City, and he was trying to change his life around after having an accident, and was asking for help. He did not want money, he kinda just wanted to be pointed in the right direction. None of his family members, friends ever, nor himself ever had a read job, mostly dead end gigs at dollar store, or fast food, so he was honestly clueless. He was really good with electricity (construction/assisting people set up cables) & electronic stuff, but just did not have the people skills that you or I probably have, or the business lingo to go to a company to apply for anything. We had a long 4 hour phone call, and covered everything from creating his non-existent resume, cover letter, his attire for an interview, to how he should talk/ask questions, change his current look (he used to dress & act like someone that could mug you in plain daylight), and helped him look for places to apply locally and online. Even though he got about 8 interviews that same week, he did not get any of the jobs. However, he had hope, and 3 months later he got an office job, doing something that maybe he did not enjoy, but was something different, save and it paid well. I think that it took him 3 months, because he needed that time to hone down this new “persona” skill, and also he needed to practice no-being-himself, and toning down for an office setting. Either way, that particular moment was what got me started in writing self-help books. It took me 4 months to write my first book, then another month to create a cover, and publish it on Amazon as an Ebook. Even though it is not your conventional book, and it looks amateurish compared to the books listed above, it has done better than I honestly expected. A lot of people wait a long time, to publish their book because they want it to be perfect, and I guess that is my message to you, if you have something, whether is a software application, a book, or a game, try to release it as soon as possible, because the feedback you will get is more valuable than waiting for it to be perfect. I have learned a lot, and with that knowledge my next material will be better. I have a lot more material that I will release in the future, but I also I currently have 2 self-help books (The Next Logical Step & The Art of Ecommerce) , and 1 motivational book (The Serial Killer Entrepreneur). With that being said, please look for help when creating your product, for example I did my own book cover, and thinking back I could have paid someone to do something WAY better. Also, I could had hired someone to proof read it and make the changes necessary, to show quality. There are tons of website like FIVERR that you can visit for cheap help. I sell enough Ebooks that it is worth my time, however not enough to make a living. My real business, which is my ‘bread & butter’, is Amazon Private Label (FBA). Most of you are familiar with this, which is essentially purchasing a regular no-name brand products from local USA manufactures (I locate them using www.Thomasnet.com), and placing my personal label on it, then selling them on Amazon for a profit. You can also buy merchandize from Big name stores, and sell them on Amazon for a profit, but after getting burned once, I do not do that anymore. To anyone still reading, this, please note that there are no “get rich quick” scheme in FBA or any other business regardless of what you read. There are a lot of people on Youtube and on here that will yell out-loud that they are getting filthy rich selling on Amazon, and buying from china. But the reality is that it is hard finding a product to sell (a lot of competition, and shipping fees will eat your profits), and it is hard to make a killing, since everyone is selling on Amazon, including manufacturers and suppliers. You can do a quick Google for FBA for more information, or visit r/FulfillmentByAmazon/ . One of the book I wrote ‘The Art of Ecommerce’ is a quick-read guide Kindle E-book that is good for beginners (it only scratches the surface) if you are not familiar with what selling on Amazon FBA entails. It is honestly hard to make a living solely on Amazon, however, if you are able to find 5-10 products that sell well, in a niche or low volume section, then you can make enough money a month to stay out of a 9-to-5. Honestly, you will have to do a lot of trial and error to find something that sticks for you. I would be making the same amount of money working full time, (with benefits), but working for myself is a very rewarding experience, and I think that it can only get better from here. If you are thinking about taking the plunge, please read this again, and hopefully you can get virtue from my mistakes, not fear. Fear will always be there, but controlled fear is the best to have. *Thank you for sticking to the end. I will be coming back to check on this post today and tomorrow, and will be happy to answer any questions. * TLDR:Read as much as you can online, and in books.Do not leave your full time job, without first making enough profit to pay your rent/bills.Do not try multiple gigs/businesses at once.Pay for things that you have no-business doing (For Example pay someone to do your Book Cover/ Marketing/ Website Design / Photo)Ask people for their unbiased opinion your work quality or ideas.Keep Pushing, Pulling and Pushing.Wish for Luck.Try things that are working for other people, but in your own way. There are no “Get rich” scheme in life that will be legal or last. There is a lot of trial and error. ** Written on my Tablet - EDITED FOR TYPOS.**
