On January 5, 2017 Nicki Minaj confirmed in a tweet that she had separated from rapper Meek Mill. Soon it was being reported that sources close to Drake told TMZ that he wanted Mack Maine to help organize a peace summit for both him and Nicki after seeing her in the studio with Lil Wayne on ESPN, just days after her breakup announcement. Not too long after, Nicki was seen in the studio with Wayne and Drake in February.
Since Way Back is a love song that speaks on the importance of having a lot of history with someone PND and Drake have loved for a long time. They find it hard to commit to anyone else because they're still stuck on this one person. "Pool in my eyes/As you beg, I testify that/I hate being alone." PND's opening line is poetic as he admits to seeing other women, just for the sake of not feeling loneliness.
"You said that you think about me every day/Saturday to Saturday/You see that I've been goin' through it/Hopin' everything's okay." Nicki rarely did many interviews talking about the Meek vs. Drake beef during her relationship with Meek, but when she did she expressed how hurt she was by it and prayed that things would get better. Also in 2016, Nicki randomly tweeted about the Canadian basketball team, the Toronto Raptors and then posted a photo of herself in lingerie. Nicki had never talked about the Raptors before, so why now? Mind you, Drake is the global ambassador of the team and has been since 2013. Drake is watching Nicki from afar, wondering if her words are true. He raps: "Everything these days is textual/I just want to get a lil' sexual, with you." There is some texting happening back and forth behind the scenes between both camps to get them closer to each other. But, Drake feels like the process is too slow and just wants to be as close as possible to her (physically speaking). "'Cause I remember way, way back/With the waves under the wave cap/You were someone else's wife in fact/You didn't even look at me like that/Then it all just switched, over time/Step by step and you know what's next." When Drake says that Nicki was "someone else's wife" he's referring to Nicki being with Safaree, back when Drake still had waves. There were rumors that maybe they had gotten engaged, but nothing was really confirmed. In Drake's next verse he can't help but wonder what she's doing since things have slowed down in his life. "What are you on?/Gotta let me know something." Memories of their time together end up weighing heavily on his mind as he tries to find ways to meet her again.

Tracy Lamar McGrady Jr. (born May 24, 1979) is a former basketball player, known for his career in the NBA. He is a seven-time NBA All-Star, seven-time All-NBA selection, two-time NBA scoring champion, and winner of the NBA Most Improved Player Award in 2001. He was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame. He is regarded as one of the greatest scorers and shooting guards in NBA history.
He entered the NBA straight out of high school and was selected as the ninth overall pick by the Toronto Raptors. Beginning his career as a low-minute player, he improved his role with the team, forming a duo with his cousin Vince Carter. He left the Raptors for the Orlando Magic, where he became one of the league’s most prolific scorers and a candidate for the NBA MVP Award. He was traded to the Houston Rockets, where he helped the Rockets become a perennial playoff team. He retired in 2013 following a brief stint with the Qingdao DoubleStar Eagles of the Chinese Basketball Association and the San Antonio Spurs.
He has worked as a basketball analyst for ESPN. He realized his dream of playing professional baseball, pitching for the Sugar Land Skeeters.
He was born in Bartow, Florida to Melanise Williford. He played high school basketball and baseball at Auburndale High School for three years before transferring to Mount Zion Christian Academy in Durham for his senior season. At Auburndale, he posted averages of 23.1 points, 12.2 rebounds, 4 assists, and 4.9 blocks per game.
He made a name for himself at the Adidas ABCD Camp. He was named a McDonald’s All-American, and USA Today High School Basketball Player of the Year. He considered playing college basketball at the University of Kentucky but decided to enter the NBA draft.
He has three children with his wife, CleRenda Harris.
He shifted his focus to his business investments, including Dasdak and Blue-04. He was an initial investor in a Minor League Baseball team that would become the Biloxi Shuckers.

Minister Mark A. Jackson (born April 1, 1965) is a former basketball player. A point guard from St. John’s University, he played for the New York Knicks, Los Angeles Clippers, Indiana Pacers, Denver Nuggets, Toronto Raptors, Utah Jazz, and Houston Rockets in a career spanning from 1987-2004.
He grew up in Queens. He was regarded as one of the nation’s elite point guards.
He became a broadcast commentator for ESPN and ABC. He worked as an analyst for The YES Network’s New Jersey Nets games. In 2011 the Golden State Warriors hired him as head coach. He coached the team for three seasons but was fired in 2014 despite leading the Warriors to consecutive playoff appearances for the first time in over 20 years.
He was the first head coach hired by new owners. After inheriting a team that had made the playoffs just once in the previous 17 years, he promised to turn the Warriors into a good defensive team and playoff contender but struggled to a 23–43 record in his first year during the lockout-shortened 2011–12 season as the team suffered several injuries. With strong performances from Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson, he led the Warriors to a 47–35 record and a #6 seed in the Western Conference playoffs. It was the first time the Warriors had made the playoffs since the 2006–07 season.
He signed under a four-year, $8 million contract, he earned two more years guaranteed on his contract in 2013, putting him under contract through 2014–15. The Warriors improved to 51–31, the team’s first season with 50 or more wins since 1993–94. They reached the playoffs in consecutive seasons for the first time since 1992 but lost in the first round to the Los Angeles Clippers in seven games.
On May 17, 2014, he reached a multiyear agreement to return to ESPN as a game analyst.
He married singer and actress Desiree Coleman (1990-2017) and they have four children. His son, Mark Jackson, Jr., played for the Manhattan Jaspers after transferring from the University of Louisville. Predictions: 2023-24
I seem to be a bit more bullish on the team this year than most people.
Bleacher Report says we’ll win 41. Friends with access tell me that ESPN says we’ll win 40.
Me?
I say we’ll win 46!
The chart below explains why.
The Minutes Played (MP) column lists the average minutes played in rank order for the average team)(that is, on the average team, the player with the most minutes played 2,628.9 minutes, the player with the second most minutes played 2,450.6 minutes, and so on). I just then plugged in an educated guess as to how our players will rank in minutes played.
Last_Yr represented the player’s average of BPM, RAPTOR, and RPM from last year, with 2 somewhat arbitrary exceptions:
First, I thought that I should adjust Ben Simmons’ stats since he was injured last year, so I averaged his numbers from last year with his numbers from his last full season with the 76ers.
Second, Mikal Bridges put up much more impressive numbers last year with the Nets than he had with the Suns. So I decided to bump up his numbers a bit; I gave him credit for half of that improvement.
Age_Adj is the age adjustment as explained in my previous post
Predic = Last_Yr + Age_Adj
VORP is calculated from Predic.
Then, the formula to calculate a team’s wins from their total VORP is 20.3 + 2.07 * BPM.
This formula predicts that the Nets will win 46.6. games. To tamper my over-enthusiasm, I’ve decided to just call that 46.
This isn’t entirely crazy. After the big trade last year, I suspected that this new version of the team had the talent of a 45-win team.
