I'm from Philly, and I hate Flyers fans. I also tend to blame it all on Jersey, haha. (Plus I sorta imprinted on the Pens during the pandemic? I don't know how that happened.)

I spent 4 yrs in college in the Philly area so I know first hand how the city can get. The eagles Super Bowl win sure was something. I can see blaming it on Jersey. South Jersey is basically east Philadelphia. (I’ve had someone claim to be from east of Philly and I was like friend that’s across state lines). But Philly itself is just like that sometimes.

I want to be clear that not all flyers fans are bad. I’ve got a handful of non-tumblr friends who like the flyers. Hence why I’ve got a fondness for some of the players. That’s [redacted]’s boy. And I know I’ve got some pens mutuals that multi-team or follow boys when they leave. But I’ve run up against some nasty ppl here and on twitter and I have been burned going into other teams tags before, or worse, they come into our tags. So I just stay out and stay in my lane. I like one team and I’m sticking to those tags. If I need to know about anything else a beloved mutual will reblog a post.

Side note — anyone who uses both lb tags for a game but shits on one of the teams deserves to get blocked immediately. I know it’s redundant to say don’t be an asshole on the internet but seriously if you’re gonna shit on a team or a player don’t do it in the tags where the ppl who like them are going looking for content. (This isn’t to say never use both tags. Many ppl lb for multiple teams and will use both tags when their teams play each other. That’s different than posting hate bc you can)
