#we're at a really weird moment in the iwtv fandom where like #there are book purists who hate the show #there are book fans who love the show but look down on fans that don't know the books and are also like. #really unmoving with certain ideas and whatnot where it simply doesn't make sense #show fans who have read the books one time through and think they're experts on the entire lore of it all #show fans that are slowly and hesitantly making their way through the books #and show fans that have no desire for the books because - as this is an adaptation - they view it as its own entity #and like #nm i won't say all i want on my opinions of it all but i will say that #show fans who have read the books once and lack basic reading comprehension in the first place are reallllllly draining on me rn #the book fans who have the superiority complex are always draining but the #'i've read the books' you read them once calm down #ooof the 'i've read them once' crowd who act like they understand every nuance and can speak on it are something else
