-- Paldea Arc: Epilogue

Yule was then upon them before they knew it, and while the day of the twenty fourth they had exchanged gifts, it was the day of the twenty fifth that brought the best news of all in Mewtwo returning Miraidon to them. The electric dragon had been more then antsy and was covered in bandages but clambered over to greet Ashe who immediately took hold of his head in her arms after doing the same, touching her forehead to his and cooing softly over him. Koraidon had long since awoken and while was still recovering was happy to see its ‘brother’ as he now addressed with singular words. 

Koraidon had taken to following Kianga and Ruko around more then Leon, but that didn’t stop the dragon-type from watching training sessions Leon often held for his new pokemon to get acquainted with his rounded out roster of ‘mons, and overall, after that as the week passed and New Years slowly dawned on them, it brought a sense of peace finally and a thought process over what happened in Paldea. Yes, they had been hurt badly physically, emotionally, and mentally, but they had made it out alive and with a new path to move on. The biggest one being not just the new pokemon, but Lucky’s evolution as well.

That had caught everyone’s eye finally and it was something that was talked about finally once everyone felt ready to bring it up. Deciding to get a medical analysis done of Lucky was the biggest decision, but how and where was the biggest issue -- who did they trust the most with this? That was where Ashe and Lucky found themselves sitting and thinking on one night with Leon and Bahamut joining them. Ruko was asleep and Kianga was out on patrol with Morgan gone once more on her adventure with Joseph in knowing her kids were okay. She had gotten over their journey in Paldea hurtle-wise, but now it was left to decide who to trust with her partner and essentially, in the end, a piece of her.

Feeling Leon wrap an arm around her and place a kiss to the side of her head, she leaned into him with Lucky laying himself down and placing a ribbon around Ashe’s arm as well.

While things looked tough... in the end, even if it was bittersweet, they had to believe everything would be okay. They had too.
