Fanfic trope ask, here's two:

1. Found family

2. Hurt/comfort

give me a fanfiction trope and i'll grade it

found family

This one I really like when done To My Tastes(tm) but definitely never actively look for. My experience with this trope is it's one of those ones where people actively tagging it often write like. Uh. Well, for example, I ALSO avoid the "healthy communication" tag because it often includes the least healthy communication I've ever read. So like that, although found family is often less squicky and more boring/OOC/etc. So I'll grade this one C: Neutral. A good author might be able to sell it, but a bad one will kill it deader than dead.

hurt/comfort

I don't really like this one. There's permutations of it I'm okay with and might enjoy, but they're not usually being actively tagged as hurt/comfort, and I'm never going to actively seek it out. D: Not my favorite. I avoid it if I can, but it won’t necessarily put me off reading something.
