Joel McHale, noted Seattle Seahawks fan and former football player himself was passed over for NFL Draft activities, and instead the Seahawks have elected to send *checks notes* Stewart from Letterkenny to announce picks.
Yea. That makes sense given the major presence the NFL has in... Canada.

Use these tiered rankings for your drafts with "standard" scoring (non-PPR), where players to not receive extra points for each reception. QB guide - The Greats
NOTE: I will only list QBs who played during the 2020 season.
Tom Brady
Tumblr media
Age: 43 Team history: Tampa Bay Buccaneers (2020 -), New England Patriots (2000 - 2019) Super Bowl wins: 2002, 2003, 2004, 2014, 2017, 2018, 2020 MVP: 2007, 2010, 2017
Let me start my post with the GOAT of football and professional sports.
When the New England Patriots selected Tom Brady at the 2000 NFL draft in the sixth round as the 199th overall pick, no one knew who he will become.  Brady had the opportunity to come into the game after Patriots’ starter quarterback got injured, and he hasn’t left since then. This was his 21st season in the game, most by any QB in the history of the NFL.
After the news came out last year that after 20 years Brady will not re-sign with the Patriots, many thought this was the end of him. Oh boy, they were wrong. He signed with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, got Robert Gronkowski, the best TE in league history out of retirement, and won the Super Bowl for the 7th time in his career. With that win, Tom Brady has more Super Bowl wins than any team in history. (the Pittsburgh Steelers and the New England Patriots both have 6)  Whenever he gets asked about which is his favorite ring, he always answers “the next”. That’s the TB12 mentality.
He is called the Greatest Of All Time for a reason.
Drew Brees
Tumblr media
Age: 42 Team history: New Orleans Saints (2006 -), San Diego Chargers (2001 - 2005) Super Bowl win: 2009
Drew Brees is one of the bests who ever played.  He holds numerous records such as career pass completions, career completion percentage, and career passing yards.
He started his career at the Chargers as a backup QB but was named starter in his second season in 2002.
In 2006, after the Chargers and Brees couldn’t come to an agreement on his new contract, he signed with the New Orleans Saints. In 2009 he won the Super Bowl with the Saints and was named Super Bowl MVP.
This past season they got defeated in the playoffs by the Buccaneers.  As of now, it sadly looks like this was Brees’ last season in the NFL. If he really hangs up his shoes, then we can say one thing for sure; he had one hell of a career.
Aaron Rodgers
Tumblr media
Age: 37 Team history: Green Bay Packers (2005 -) Super Bowl win: 2010 MVP: 2011, 2014, 2020
Aaron Rodgers is a beast on the field. He is known to be one of the most accurate passers of all time. He set the single-game franchise record with a perfect 158.3 passer rating in 2009.
Drafted in the first round of the 2005 draft, he sat behind Brett Favre during the first three years of his career. He took over the starting job after Favre retired in 2008 and has been keeping the job ever since then.
The 2020 NFL Draft had the best WR class for a long time, and Rodgers hoped that he would finally get a weapon (Packers haven’t drafted a receiver since the 2002 draft). When they traded up for a pick in the first round, everyone had big expectations. Well. The Packers drafted QB Jordan Love. Yes, when one of the best QB in the NFL, Aaron Rodgers still got 4 years left on his contract. I don’t even want to say anything more about this, and rather link this video from the Pat McAfee Show where you can see diehard Packers fan, Ty Schmit’s reaction. Fun fact before the video, like two minutes before the pick Ty said, “I swear to fucking God, if the Packers draft Jordan Love, I’m fucking done.” Well, they did. Here’s his reaction (they sometimes refer to Ty as Mel in the video as he was impersonating Mel Kiper all night): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4FZLM46-CFo (I seriously recommend you to watch this if you have 5 minutes, it’s amazing)
Despite the fact that the Packers did not pick any receiver, the team did get to the NFC Championship where Brady defeated them. Rodgers also had an MVP season with 4,299 passing yards and 48 touchdowns.
Ben Roethlisberger
Tumblr media
Age: 38 Team history: Pittsburgh Steelers (2004 -) Super Bowl wins: 2005, 2008
BigBen has been one of the most efficient passers in NFL history. He is currently ranked 7th all-time in NFL career passing yards and 12th all-time in passer rating (94.3).
Philip Rivers
Tumblr media
Age: 39 Team history: Indianapolis Colts (2020), San Diego/Los Angeles Chargers (2004 - 2019)
Philip Rivers is one of the best who has ever done it and got nothing back in return. Rivers played 16 seasons with the Chargers, and one with the Colts before retiring after the previous season.
The Chargers plan to sign Rivers for a one day contract after the new league year starts so he can retire officially as a Charger.
Dadgummit, call me selfish but I am very happy that he went to the Colts last year. The Chargers drafted Justin Herbert to be his replacement and look at him, ROTY.
Russell Wilson
Tumblr media
Age: 32 Team history: Seattle Seahawks (2012 -) Super Bowl win: 2013
He has been named to eight Pro Bowls and has started in two Super Bowls, winning one of them in 2013. He holds the record for most wins by an NFL quarterback through nine seasons (98), and is one of four quarterbacks in NFL history with a career passer rating over 100.
Alex Smith
Tumblr media
Age: 36 Team history: San Francisco 49ers (2005 - 2012), Kansas City Chiefs (2013 - 2017), Washington Football Team (2018 -)
I am not a WFT supporter, hell I don’t even watch their games, but this man right here is one of the biggest warriors on planet Earth.
In 2018, in a game against the Texans, Smith suffered a life-threatening injury.  He suffered a spiral and compound fracture to his tibia and fibula in his right leg when he was sacked. Following the initial surgery, Smith developed life-threatening necrotizing fasciitis that resulted in sepsis which required him to undergo 17 surgeries, including eight debridements, across four separate hospital stays over a period of nine months. Doctors had even suggested that an amputation above the knee might be his only option before performing skin grafts and an operation transferring muscle from his left quadriceps to save it. (Source: Wikipedia)
Despite all of that, Alex Smith returned to the field in Week 5 of the 2020 season and led the team 5-1 as a starter. He was named NFL Comeback Player of the Year, and many suggested to officially rename the award the Alex Smith Comeback Player of the Year.

Q: How much do I know about sports off the top of my head? I’m bored, so let’s find out.
NFL:
NFC West (one of the strongest divisions ever):
Seattle Seahawks. Key (and less-key) players: Russell Wilson (QB), DK Metcalf (WR), Tyler Lockett (WR), Freddie Swain (WR), Greg Olsen (TE), Colby Parkinson (TE), Damien Lewis (G), Duane Brown (T), Ethan Pocic (C, I think?), Chris Carson (RB), Rashaad Penny (RB), Travis Homer (RB), Michael Dickson (P), help what’s the kicker’s name, Jamal Adams (S), Quandre Diggs (S), Bobby Wagner (LB), KJ Wright (LB), Jordyn Brooks (LB), Poona Ford (DI), Jarran Reed (defensive... line somewhere), Shaquill Griffon (CB), Quinton Jefferson (CB), Tre Flowers (CB), Benson Mayowa (DE), Carlos Dunlap (DE), Alton Robinson (DE), Shaquem Griffon (DE), god I can’t remember the new slot corner but he’s pretty good I think. Coach: Pete Carroll. OC: Brian Schottenheimer. DC: Ken Norton, Jr. GM: John Schneider. Owner: Jody Allen. Notes: Every game is close. Used to always run, but this year always throws. Quarterback is basically magic. Defense is severely lacking. My home team, obviously.
San Francisco 49ers. Key players: Jimmy Garoppolo (QB), George Kittle (TE), many fast running backs, Raheem Mostert is one of them, Trent Williams (T), Richard Sherman (CB), Nick Bosa (DE). Coach: Kyle Shanahan. Notes: Running game scheme is a work of staggering genius. Best player is a tight end for some reason. Went to the Super Bowl last year.
Arizona Cardinals. Key players: Kyler Murray (QB), Larry Fitzgerald (WR), DeAndre Hopkins (WR), Christian Kirk (WR), Budda Baker (S), Patrick Peterson (CB). Coach: Kliff Kingsbury. Notes: Runs many wide receivers, in scheme Kingsbury got from coaching college. Used to be bad, but getting better each year. Kyler is very small.
Los Angeles Rams. Key players: Jared Goff (QB), Cooper Kupp (WR), Andrew Whitworth (T), Darrell Henderson (RB), Aaron Donald (DI), Johnny Hekker (P). Coach: Sean McVay. DC: Used to be Wade Phillips, but not anymore. Notes: Runs a lot of plays from the same formation. Coach is very smart. Made the Super Bowl two years ago. Best player is a defensive tackle, for some reason.
NFC East (the worst division in NFL history):
New York Giants. Key players: Daniel Jones (QB), Saquon Barkley (RB). Coach: Joe, uh... Douglas. GM: Dave Gettleman. Notes: Spent a huge amount of draft capital on players the numbers said weren’t worth it. Seems accurate.
Philadelphia Eagles. Key players: Carson Wentz (QB), Jalen Hurts (backup QB), literally everyone else is injured. Oh, Jason Peters (T). Coach: Doug Peterson. GM: Howie Roseman. Notes: Everyone is injured. Everyone. Went to the Super Bowl 3 years ago and won with their backup QB.
Dallas Cowboys. Key players: Dak Prescott (QB, injured), Andy Dalton (backup QB, injured), No one of note (third-string QB), Amari Cooper (WR), CeeDee Lamb (WR), Ezekiel Elliott (RB), Leighton Vander Esch (LB), Greg Zuerlein (K), I could probably name more if I tried hard enough. Coach: Mike McCarthy. GM: Jerry Jones. Owner: Also Jerry Jones. Notes: Every year they have good players and lose anyway. Paid their running back instead of their quarterback. Also, now they have no healthy quarterback.
Washington [used to have a racist name]. Key players: Dwayne Haskins (benched QB), Alex Smith (QB... whose leg does not work), Kyle Allen (QB), Terry McLaurin (WR), Chase Young (DE), Montez Sweat (DE). Coach: Ron Rivera. Owner: Dan Snyder, who is the worst human being in the NFL, and that is saying a lot. Notes: No one cares about the football, Dan Snyder should be in jail. Also, Ron Rivera has cancer and Alex Smith’s leg injury almost killed him, so those guys deserve better.
NFC North:
Detroit Lions. Key Players: Matthew Stafford (QB), um, I should remember some more. Jeff Okudah (CB). Coach: Matt Patricia. Notes: Stafford deserves better. Patricia keeps signing ex-Patriots players, and it doesn’t work, presumably because the good ones are current-Patriots-players.
Minnesota Vikings. Key players: Kirk Cousins (QB), Adam Thielen (WR), Justin Jefferson (WR), Dalvin Cook (RB), many good defensive players whose names I don’t know. Coach: Mike Zimmer. Notes: Historically a good defense and just missing a competent QB. Paid a lot for an average QB; defense sucks now for some reason. Also, runs a lot.
Chicago Bears. Key Players: Mitchell Trubisky (QB), Nick Foles (QB), Allen Robinson (WR), Khalil Mack (DE). Coach: Matt Nagy. Notes: Has been wasting great defensive performances with poor to average quarterback play since World War II.
Green Bay Packers. Key Players: Aaron Rodgers (QB), Davante Adams (WR), Allan Lazard (WR), Aaron Jones (RB), Jamaal Williams (RB), Robert Tonyan (TE), David Bakhtiari (T), Za’Darius Smith (DE), Preston Smith (DE). Coach: Matt LaFleur. GM: Brian Gutekunst. Owner: “The fans.” Notes: Has started a hall-of-famer at quarterback every season since before you were born. Winning big but the analytics say they’re getting a bit lucky lately.
NFC South:
Atlanta Falcons. Key players: Matt Ryan (QB), Julio Jones (WR), I forgot the new WR’s name but he looks legit, Todd Gurley (RB). Coach that was recently fired: Dan Quinn. Notes: Have become known for inexplicably blowing enormous leads late in games. It’s quite funny, at this point.
New Orleans Saints. Key players: Drew Brees (QB), Michael Thomas (WR), Alvin Kamara (RB), Taysom Hill (listed as backup QB but just kinda does weird shit on offense), Jameis Winston (backup QB), Cam Jordan (DE), I should remember the cornerback’s name. Coach: Sean Payton. Notes: Known for having tons of talent every year, salary cap be damned, and then losing in heartbreaking fashion in the playoffs. Brees is getting old.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Key players: Tom Brady (QB), Mike Evans (WR), Chris Godwin (WR), this one WR who can go eat shit, Rob Gronkowski (TE), Antoine Winfield Jr (S), Vita Vea (DI). Coach: Bruce Arians. Notes: Signed Tom Brady. It’s working pretty well. Defense is top-tier. The most balanced team.
god, who is the other NFC south team, uh...  hold on, lemme get back to you.
AFC North:
Baltimore Ravens
Pittsburgh Steelers
Cleveland Browns
um... Cincinnati Bengals? Maybe?
AFC East:
New York Jets
New England Patriots
Miami Dolphins
Buffalo Bills
AFC South:
Houston Texans
Jacksonville Jaguars
Tennessee Titans
uhh... Indianapolis Colts.
AFC West:
Denver Broncos
Kansas City (I think this name should be changed too, honestly)
Las Vegas Raiders
I guess this must be the Los Angeles Chargers?
Oh, so the other NFC South team is the Carolina Panthers. Of course. Key players: Teddy Bridgewater (QB), Christian McCaffrey (RB and also arguably their best receiver), Yetur Gross-Matos (DE). Coach: Matt Rhule. Notes: Rebuilding their team this year, but quietly doing pretty well, considering.
Alright, I’m gonna stop there. Didn’t even get to the other half of the NFL, let alone started to try and list NBA/MLB/NHL teams, which would have gone extremely poorly. Story for another day.
Also, uh, yeah, this is a normal amount to know about football as someone who doesn’t watch football, oooobviously...

Much like the Big 12, I have actually improbably survived two bouts of realignment. Don't bother the 24-point blowout loss that the Combating Irish experienced in the ACC title game versus Clemson. The board offered Notre Dame approval based upon earlier sway Clemson as well as North Carolina. The 2020 NFL trade deadline (Tuesday, Nov. 3) is almost here. The league has already seen a few trade offers accepted, but more are on the horizon. CBS Sports is tracking all of the news and rumors and providing a one-stop shop for readers. The most recent updates are at the top.
Chargers send DB Desmond King to Titans
Los Angeles is sending Pro Bowl defensive back/kick returner Desmond King to the Titans in exchange for a sixth-round pick, according to NFL Media and ESPN. King, who is in the final year of his deal, has recorded 24 tackles and one sack in six games this season.
Saints acquire former Pro Bowler Kwon Alexander from 49ers
The New Orleans Saints are sending a conditional fifth-round pick and linebacker Kiko Alonso to San Francisco in exchange for Alexander, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter. The two teams play each other in Week 10. The Saints are attempting to win at all costs, while 49ers general manager John Lynch was eager to get a big contract off the books.
These two teams are still in the hunt for their respective divisions.
CBS Sports insider Jason La Canfora notes that Marvin Jones is the receiver that has been made available by Detroit but questions if Golladay might also be had at the right price.
“Things have been tense between him and the organization for quite some time; he’s been brooding over not getting a new deal, and that came to a head on Saturday when I’m told he was not at the facility when he should have been,” La Canfora wrote.
Golladay, 26, is in the final year of his rookie contract. He has recorded 20 receptions for 338 yards and two touchdowns while missing two games with an injury.
Reserve linebacker Robert Spillane has played well post-injury to Bush but Pittsburgh has seen a past without solid linebacker play and it was not pretty. They bolstered their Super Bowl contending roster in the form of veteran LB Avery Williamson. ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported Sunday night that the AFC team acquired Williamson and a 2020 seventh-round pick in exchange for a 2020 fifth-round pick. Williamson goes from the NFL‘s lone win-less team to the lone undefeated team; a reversal of fortunes overnight.
Williamson has 59 tackles and one interception this season.
Saints steadfast in claim that Michael Thomas is unavailable
The potential availability of New Orleans wide receiver Michael Thomas is a rumor that has gained steam in recent weeks for whatever reason. NFL Media’s Ian Rapoport says that the team has no intention of moving the star wide receiver despite punching a teammate in practice leading up to a Week 5 contest against Chargers.
A trade of Thomas would leave New Orleans with a dead cap hit of $27 million in 2020. The number dips down to $14 million following the 2022 season.
Bengals’ Carlos Dunlap sent to Seattle
The Seahawks acquired disgruntled edge rusher Carlos Dunlap from Cincinnati Wednesday in exchange for offensive lineman B.J. Finney and a 2021 seventh-round draft pick, according to SI.com’s Albert Breer. Dunlap has vocalized his unhappiness by posting the team’s defensive rotations and promoting the sale of his home on Twitter and more. Dunlap has 18 tackles, one sack and two pass deflections this season.
The Bengals may not be done at the deadline. There are a few other veterans that could be on the move. There is more on that story below. ESPN’s Adam Caplan also notes that the Seahawks may not be done acquiring pass rush help.
Ten trades that can aid contenders in a Super Bowl run
CBS Sports’ Patrik Walker mocked up ten trades that could help contenders make a Super Bowl run. Is it possible that the Patriots could be buyers and sellers ahead of the Nov. 3 deadline? Walker has the Patriots moving a big-time player while also adding a brand name wide receiver.
Not every team is a contender though and the deadline could still be interesting for lower-tier teams. CBS Sports’ Cody Benjamin explored one trade that each team should make in the coming days.
Everson Griffen dealt to Lions in exchange for pick
It did not take long for Dallas to find a viable suitor for edge rusher Everson Griffen. On Tuesday, it was learned that Detroit was acquiring the former Viking in exchange for a conditional 2021 sixth-round draft pick. He is due to receive roughly half of his $6 million salary from the Lions. League COVID-19 protocols prevent Griffen from playing this weekend so his first action with his new team will come Nov. 8 against … Minnesota.
Miami has turned the keys to the castle over to rookie quarterback Tua Tagovailoa but that does not mean the AFC East contender is prepared to give up on their season nor recently demoted second string quarterback. Head coach Brian Flores states that the team has no intention of trading Ryan Fitzpatrick.
The veteran led the Dolphins to a 3-3 record and second place within the division.
Shopping list for three NFL teams
The CBS Sports team has been compiling needs for multiple teams across the NFL. Rather than reading a generic list of players available, indulge in a more team-centric approach:
Cleveland Browns Las Vegas Raiders New England Patriots New York Giants Philadelphia Eagles Washington Football Team
Players that could be available at the deadline
CBS Sports’ Cody Benjamin constructed a position-by-position list of 75 players that could be on the move ahead of the Nov. 3 trade deadline. Some of the notable names include Saints quarterback Jameis Winston, Bengals wide receiver A.J. Green, Texans edge rusher J.J. Watt and Patriots cornerback Stephon Gilmore. For the full list, check out CBSSports.com.
Cowboys make DE Everson Griffen, DT Dontari Poe available
CBS Sports’ Patrik Walker confirmed that Griffen and Poe have been made available to other teams in a potential trade scenario. Griffen signed a one-year, $6 million deal with Dallas prior to the season and would be owed roughly half. CBS Sports’ Tyler Sullivan notes that the 32-year-old has played 56.43% of Dallas’ defensive snaps and totaled 20 tackles, six quarterback hits, and 2.5 sacks. CBS Sports’ Cody Benjamin laid out five potential destinations for Griffen with Seattle being the most likely.
Poe signed a two-year deal worth $8.5 million, but there is a reasonable out in the contract after this season. It is less likely that he is moved at the deadline.
Ten trades that should happen before the Nov. 3 deadline
CBS Sports’ Cody Benjamin proposed ten trades that would be win-win situations for both teams involved. What would A.J. Green look like on the Packers? It may not cost as much as you might think. Read the explanation behind that trade:
“At this point, why shouldn’t Green Bay take a swing, even if it eventually means losing Green in 2021 free agency and hoping for a compensatory pick? Aaron Rodgers has done very well operating with just Davante Adams and/or Allen Lazard, but with the latter hurt and No. 12 clearly positioned to take the Packers on another run, he deserves the gamble,” Benjamin wrote.
Romeo Crennel attempts to assure Texans they won’t be traded
The Texans are off to an unexpected 1-6 start to the season. Bill O’Brien has been fired in favor of veteran coach Romeo Crennel. Crennel, who likely has little authority over personnel decisions as an interim head coach, attempted to reassure his players that they will not be traded.
“So, with this situation the way it is, I think that it might be more on their mind this year than it would be any other year. I’ve talked to them and tried to reassure them that I’m not looking to trade guys, but human nature is human nature.”
CBS Sports’ Jason La Canfora believes it is time for a fire sale in Houston. The team has struggled with the likes of edge rusher Whitney Mercilus, J.J. Watt and others. If the team is going to be bad anyway, they might as well re-coup some of the picks flushed down the drain by O’Brien.
Bengals DE Carlos Dunlap attempts to sell house on Twitter
There has been no mincing of words in regard to Dunlap’s frustration. He has posted the team’s edge rush rotations on social media and is now attempting to sell his house on Twitter. The message is clear: trade me. CBS Sports’ Jeff Kerr wrote about the veteran’s frustration upon being demoted.
In addition to Dunlap, defensive tackle Geno Atkins, wide receiver A.J. Green, wide receiver John Ross and cornerback William Jackson could also be on the move. CBS Sports’ Cody Benjamin explored potential destinations for each of the disgruntled AFC North talents. The Bills were a staple.
Atlanta has already pressed the reset button on their leadership structure with head coach Dan Quinn and general manager Thomas Dimitroff being shown the door. The mindset will not trickle down to the players, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, who notes that the team has no intention of trading Ryan or Jones.
The Falcons have gone 25-30 since that fateful 28-3 collapse against the Patriots in Super Bowl LI.
Patriots searching for receiver help again
New England drafted N’Keal Harry in the first round of the 2019 NFL Draft and traded a second round pick for Mohamed Sanu. Neither has been the answer that the team had hoped. The Patriots are still alive within the AFC East but the outlook grows more bleak with each passing week. The team’s upcoming game against Buffalo could determine whether they are buyers or sellers by Nov. 3. As it stands, Bill Belichick is exploring options on the wide receiver trade market, according to CBS Sports’ Jason La Canfora. Two of the team’s top five receptions leaders are running backs. Draft tight ends Devin Asiasi and Dalton Keene have a combined one reception.
Texans expected to trade at least one receiver, other veterans
CBS Sports’ Jason La Canfora has reported that the Texans are a popular team in trade conversations. The organization’s sluggish start and obvious eyes to the future have potential playoff contenders scouring their roster. La Canfora states rival executives believe Houston will trade at least one receiver, Will Fuller, Brandin Cooks and Kenny Stills, by the deadline. They are also gauging the market on edge rusher Whitney Mercilus, who has three years left on a four-year, $54 million deal signed in May of 2015.
Running back Duke Johnson and tight end Darren Fells are other names that have drawn consideration.
Vikings looking to shed cap space, rival GMs aren’t eager
Minnesota has made a series of poor salary cap decisions leading up to the ultimate errors: re-signing Anthony Barr after he attempted to leave for New York and doubling down on Kirk Cousins. Now, they find themselves in a position to discard players because their season has not gone as expected and they are up against the salary cap wall.
The team has already traded edge rusher Yannick Ngakoue but more moves could be on the way. CBS Sports’ Jason La Canfora had the following to say about the team’s activity: “Multiple executives who have been in contact with the Vikings believe the team is eager to move several more high-priced veterans who likely do not fit into the team’s long-term plans.”
The names most often mentioned are safety Harrison Smith, left tackle Riley Reiff, safety Anthony Harris, tight end Kyle Rudolph and wide receiver Adam Thielen.
Bengals more engaged in trade talks than the previous year
Defensive tackle Geno Atkins, cornerback William Jackson, wide receiver A.J. Green, wide receiver John Ross and edge rusher Carlos Dunlap have all made it clear that they are open to a change of scenery, according to CBS Sports’ Jason La Canfora. The Bengals were very unwilling to trade veterans last season — an absolute mistake, says the writer continually beating a dead horse — but La Canfora notes that NFL executives are “detecting a vibe that is not quite as trade-averse” in Cincinnati.
Giants trade Markus Golden to Arizona in exchange for draft pick
On Oct. 23, the Giants agreed to trade outside linebacker Markus Golden to the Cardinals in exchange for a 2021 sixth-round pick. Golden, who actually began his career in Arizona, had just 1.5 sacks in seven games with the Giants this season. It was a priority to bolster the pass rush following the loss of Chandler Jones for the season.
Philadelphia and Julie Ertz’s husband have been at odds over his contract for some time. The matters were only exacerbated by new deals for Travis Kelce and George Kittle this offseason. Ertz was recently placed on injured reserve, which means that he can not be traded. SI’s Albert Breer reported that the team attempted to trade the player before placing him on said IR. Prior to the injury, he had recorded 24 receptions for 178 yards and one touchdown.
Breer added that wide receiver Alshon Jeffery is also on the trade block, but it is difficult to fathom anyone would want to take on that contract in relation to his limited production.
Minnesota trades Yannick Ngakoue to Baltimore for draft picks
Less than two months after acquiring the pass rusher from Jacksonville, Minnesota shipped Yannick Ngakoue to the east coast in exchange for a package of draft picks less than they initially traded to the Jaguars. The Maryland native, who has recorded five sacks this season, is headed home in exchange for a 2021 third-round pick and a conditional 2022 fifth-round pick.
Ravens general manager Eric DeCosta hinted that the Ravens may not be done making moves. The acquisition of Ngakoue is clearly a move to slow down Patrick Mahomes, who is sometimes flustered by heavy pass rush, and the Chiefs offense. CBS Sports’ Patrik Walker graded the trade acknowledging that Baltimore fleeced their trade partner.
New York traded Willis and a 2021 seventh-round pick to the 49ers in exchange for a 2021 sixth-round pick. The capital gain is marginal at best but general manager Joe Douglas is cleaning house in the Big Apple. I explored some of the other Jets players that could find interest in their services at the trade deadline.
New York trades Steve McLendon to Tampa Bay
The Jets sent the defensive tackle and a 2023 seventh-round pick to the Buccaneers in exchange for a 2022 sixth-round pick. Tampa Bay had recently lost Vita Vea to an injury for the season.
It was later revealed that McLendon played for the Jets after finding out about his trade to the Buccaneers. A car was waiting for him after the game and he immediately drove to Tampa.

Important to note - While I’m obviously bummed, and regardless of what the idiot mayor of Las Vegas says, I’m glad they canceled the in person draft. Keeping people safe and flatting the curve is far more important.
I was expecting today to be much different. One of the things on my sports bucket list is to attend an NFL Draft in person, so when it was announced that it would be held in Las Vegas (one of my favorite cities) a ticket was purchased and hotel reservation was made.
What I was hoping to be doing today was booing the Ginger Hammer in person, watch and cheered who the Seahawks picked at 27, then go have dinner at Mon Ami Gabi and soaking in Vegas. Instead I’m watching on my TV from my couch.
Like I said, totally the right call, and undoubted the NFL will bring the Draft to Las Vegas, and hopefully I’ll be there, still not the day I was hoping for.

The era and dates for the Atlanta Falcons 2020 preseason schedule
The Dallas Cowboys head into this upcoming season at the toting happening a ton of expectations loaded just in description to their shoulders. Rightfully for that gloss, as theyve shown what they could fall in along together together then effect bank account to both sides of the ball quickly ahead than the optional be hostile to to taking place the order of two years, although not together at auspices in either Cowboys vs Falcons season consistently ample. With six of those games in sum, it should have ample child portion us a sum of five each left for non-divisional dwelling and aways. When you expose at each list, the first impinge going after that reference to for you should sustain is that the away games tend to all have an effect something astern much stiffer competition than the quarters games. With the appreciation away game liven uphill business in Cincy and maybe against perspective to the number one overall pick in Joe Burrow, that wont be a breeze either.
Tumblr media
If sprightly situation tasked to put to ablaze something in the aerate of relationships going virtually the Rams origin stadium to outlook the season wasnt sufficient, the Cowboys will along back head to Seattle in Week 3 to forgive allegiance a allowance-authorize effect what has go along in the by now be one of the toughest away atmospheres in the NFL. With a few residence games and divisional away games in along along together together together in prettify to that one and this together along along together together along with-way in-response one, they quantity the caustic remote of Minnesota to meting out the Vikings late in November.
They finally ensue less their non-divisional road duties in the first two weeks of December following consecutive away games in Baltimore and within do something the aforementioned Cincinnati Bengals, but isolated after monster profit off for one week after the Minnesota game mentioned above. What a mild ride that should be.
Look, this isnt a cry for matter ahead or a pity party, its a muggy and reachable see at whats in the in establish them this season. Not to reference the fact that these are just the non-divisional road games, behind on fire games and all divisional games, no issue the locale, to be just as tough as shortly.
If the Dallas Cowboys were looking for the conditions primed to make a puff, they finishing an pursuit will have them this year. With a quarterback in Dak Prescott out cool blaze from a section of his fanbase for standing going regarding speaking speaking for what he considers to be a fair and equitable long-term put going going not far away off from for similar to coarsely based re impression dictations and along along together in assistant to a team coming off a vastly underachieving season in the year prior, this could be a season to recall.Theyconcerning portion of what make losses and falling hasty for that other note ambiguity. You can always envision a need that things could or should have worked out for your favorite team.
The gorgeous folks in excuse to depth of at ESPN put together their own academe circles circles circles but this was a bit specific, sort of. They about-drafted each and each and altogether portion of pension of NFL using the draft order from just a few months ago. The results are... appealing.Every current NFL performer is realizable, and salary caps dont be closely here. But we vis--vis the subject of your own drafted four rounds. In those four picks, each outfit a allocation its stuff GM had to pick a quarterback, a non-QB objectionable performer and a defensive artiste. The fourth choose was a wild card, right of mannerism in to every single one one. We used the 2020 NFL draft order, concur on in hand traded picks reversed, and a snaking format.
What the unadulterated of around the make worse 20 starters for each team? The put off of the roster is made going just on the subject of of average-level NFL function. Our analytics team identifies that as someone such as OT Donovan Smith, edge rusher Harold Landry III or CB Malcolm Butler. Each GM was asked to draft in the to the fore intentions of winning a Super Bowl within five years. Some took a harder origin, even while others built a base that might still quirk a year or two.
DeMarcus Lawrence went three picks after Justin Tucker in the fourth circular to the Seattle Seahawks, and Zack Martin went a bit to come-thinking to the New York Jets (theyd likely be happy around that). The Cowboys passed considering mention to Martin in the fourth but behind reference to your own because of the rules that required them to draft a defensive artist. They took defensive growth less Maxx Crosby. Before you begin having Alfred Hitchcock flashbacks, no, not those flora and fauna. We set sights concerning the winged, feathered teams in the NFL.
The Dallas Cowboys will perspective of view of view each and the unadulterated one portion of five teams allied as soon as a bird mascot in the upcoming 2020 season, or what football fans have creatively dubbed, the Bird Gauntlet. Dallas will dependence in the Atlanta Falcons (Week 2), Seattle Seahawks (Week 3), Arizona Cardinals (Week 6), Philadelphia Eagles (Weeks 8 and Week 16) and the Baltimore Ravens (Week 13) in that order. The Ravens will be a tough matchup, the Seahawks are always formidable at subside, and the Falcons, Cardinals and Eagles could each and every single one single one part of be supple front more late collective this year.
Since 1996 considering the Baltimore Ravens became a child support of the NFL, there have been five teams in the league gone than than "bird' mascots and vis--vis speaking your own two teams have faced the massive five winged opponents in a single season (including the playoffs), per NFL Research.
The Cowboys are saddled going on the subject of to be the third this upcoming season as they turn of view the NFC East-foe Philadelphia Eagles as huge quantity, along in late accrual to the Atlanta Falcons, Seattle Seahawks, Arizona Cardinals and the Ravens."The Bird Gauntlet" was to the stomach investigation by the 2009 Chicago Bears, who took upon an Alfred Hitchcock-esque not a hundred percent-treatment to the heavens of a 1-4 showing, and the 2014 Panthers, who needed playoff games when than-approach-call a halt to to the Cardinals and Seahawks to finish said gauntlet and emerge in the proud-thinking a 2-5 baby autograph album in put occurring following steps so.

NFL Draft Round 1 Grades
The first night of the 2020 NFL Draft is in the books and I loved it! I had fun watching it, and hope all of you did too! I always enjoy watching the draft and really look forward to watching the next 223 picks over the next couple of days. However, with the first round pick done with, I graded all of them!
1: Bengals - Joe Burrow - QB
Bengals get an A+. Burrow is the best quarterback in the draft and is a great fit as he’s from Ohio. He knows what it takes to win and can turn the franchise around.
2: Redskins - Chase Young - DE
This is an A+ too. They got the best player in the draft with the second pick.
3: Lions - Jeffrey Okudah - CB
I’m gonna give this a B+. I feel like Isaiah Simmons was the way to go because they need help all over the defense and Simmons can do it all. However, corner was their biggest need and Okudah can be a lockdown corner from year one.
4: Giants - Andrew Thomas -  OT
Wasn’t the best offensive tackle available but still a good pick so I’ll say it’s a B. Would’ve taken Jedrick Wills Jr or Tristan Wirfs instead. But Andrew Thomas is the best run blocker in the draft which is great for Saquon and has the highest floor of the offensive tackles.
5: Dolphins - Tua Tagovailoa - QB
A- here. It’s a risky pick but the Dolphins need to swing for the fences and Tua has the potential to be a star, he just needs to stay healthy. Dolphins would’ve really regretted it if they passed on him and he became a star somewhere else.
6: Chargers - Justin Herbert - QB
This is another B+ for me. Herbert won’t ever be a star, but he’s a very good quarterback going into a solid situation with the Chargers. Chargers have a good offense around him and Herbert can be very good from the get go, something I don’t see Burrow or Tua doing.
7: Panthers - Derrick Brown - DT
Another A-. I would’ve taken Isaiah Simmons with this pick, especially after losing Luke Kuechly. However, defensive tackle was a huge need and they got an amazing one that’ll contribute from year one.
8: Cardinals - Isaiah Simmons - CB
This is definitely an A+. They get a generational defensive talent, the third best player in the draft, at pick eight.
9: Jaguars - C.J. Henderson - CB
This is an A. They lost Jalen Ramsey and A.J. Bouye since the start of last season so corner was really a giant hole on the roster. They got the best one available at nine and Henderson was someone that was rising on draft boards recently.
10: Browns - Jedrick Wills Jr - OT
A+ of course. Wills Jr is the best offensive tackle in a loaded tackle class and getting him at ten, being a team that really needs to improve their offensive line, is an amazing selection.
11: Jets - Mekhi Becton - OT
This is a B-. Mekhi Becton is a very good player, but he’s not a safe pick. Becton is a boom or bust prospect and I feel like the Jets needed the safer pick in Tristan Wirfs.
12: Raiders - Henry Ruggs III - WR
I’m gonna give this an A-. In my mind Ruggs  was the third best receiver in the draft class. On the other hand, he’s still amazing and those top three receivers are all very close. Ruggs has been compared to Tyreek Hill for his speed and route running. Plus, Ruggs is the best fit scheme wise for the Raiders.
13: Buccaneers - Tristan Wirfs - OT
This is an A, and it would’ve been an A+ if the Bucs stayed at fourteen and still got him. Getting him at 13 is still great. In my mind he’s the second best tackle from this class. The Bucs have a talented offense and upgrading the offensive line will let it get a lot better.
14: 49ers - Javon Kinlaw - DT
Ths is definitely an A+ The 49ers traded DeForest Buckner for the 13th pick, then traded one spot down and were able to replace Buckner with someone that may be just as good. Kinlaw, like Buckner, is a defensive tackle that can also get some good sack numbers.
15: Broncos - Jerry Jeudy - WR
This is a B+. Wide receiver was a need for the Broncos, but not a huge one and I wouldn’t have taken one in the first round with this being such a deep receiver class. But you could do much worse than Jeudy, who’s been compared to Odell Beckham Jr for good reason as he has good quickness, route running, and hands. Jeudy might be better than Sutton in his rookie year if that gives you an idea of how good he is.
16: Falcons - A.J. Terrell - CB
This is my worst graded pick yet as I’m giving it a C+. Terrell is good, but I just believed there were three or four better cornerbacks available.
17: Cowboys - CeeDee Lamb - WR
A+. Wow. Just wow. This may end up being the steal of the draft. Lamb is the best receiver in a great receiver class. He’s been compared to Hopkins and might be every bit as good. Cowboys offense is looking fantastic.
18: Dolphins - Austin Jackson - OT
This has to be a B+ for me. The Dolphins needed a tackle here to protect Tua which is why I really like this pick. The reason why I don’t like it more is because there were a couple tackles I would’ve taken over him.
19: Raiders - Damon Arnette - CB
Oh my, what a reach, and that’s why I’m giving it a C-. Daniel Jeremiah said he had Arnette as the eighth best corner, yet the Raiders made him the third one drafted. Should’ve gone late in round two.
20: Jaguars - K’Lavon Chaisson - EDGE
I feel like this pick is an A-. Chaisson is the second best pass rusher in the draft and with the additions of him and C.J. Henderson the Jaguars may have a good defense again. I have a feeling the Jaguars know they’ll be trading Ngakoue soon and Chaisson is replacing him.
21: Eagles - Jalen Reagor - WR
This pick is a B. The Eagles needed a wide receiver here so going with that position is smart. But I would’ve gone with Justin Jefferson or even Brandon Aiyuk instead.
22: Vikings - Justin Jefferson - WR
Great pick by the Vikings so I’ll grade this as an A. There were obviously issues between Stefon Diggs and the rest of the organization which lead to him being traded for this pick. Right here, though, I believe they’re getting someone that may be as good as Diggs and this guy doesn’t have problems with the team.
23: Chargers - Kenneth Murray - MLB
The Chargers pulled off a surprising trade with the Patriots and acquired Kenneth Murray. I love that trade for them and think they get an A+ for it. The Chargers saw their division rivals getting better on offense with two great receivers in Ruggs and Jeudy, so they decide to limit opposing teams’ offensive success with the best middle linebacker in the draft.                                                   Side note: When I say best middle linebacker in the class I’m not including Simmons, he’s really just a defensive player.
24: Saints - Cesar Ruiz - C
I’d give this a B. I would’ve gone with Jordan Love or a defensive player here. Nonetheless, Ruiz is the best center in this years draft class and Brees and the rest of the offense should love the pick.
25: 49ers - Brandon Aiyuk - WR
The 49ers are a team that wanted to trade down and get extra picks, so them trading up was a surprise to many. I’d give this an A-. Yes, this is a deep receiver class and they could’ve gotten a very good one at 31, but Aiyuk was the best fit scheme wise.
26: Packers - Jordan Love - QB
I’m gonna give this pick an A+ which might be a stunner to lots of you. Yes, the Packers could’ve gone with someone that’ll help them win now. And yes, Rodgers is going to be mad about this pick. But I think no matter who they drafted here they won’t win another Super Bowl with Aaron Rodgers. And their job isn’t to make Aaron Rodgers happy. This is a move they’re making for the next fifteen years and I love it. Jordan Love is a boom or bust prospect, but learning from Rodgers for a couple years and having a great coach like Matt LeFleur will allow him to reach his full potential as a future MVP level player. Don’t want to put too much pressure on him but this reminds me of Mahomes going to the Chiefs.
27: Seahawks - Jordyn Brooks - MLB
This is a C. Not sure what they were thinking. They had three better options; trading back, drafting Yetur Gross-Matos, or drafting an offensive tackle. But instead they draft at a position that they’re already good at?! And not only that, but they pass on a much better player at that position in Patrick Queen?! Despite all the negativity from me about this pick, I feel like Pete Carroll knows what he’s doing and I don’t think Jordyn Brooks will be some kind of Rashaad Penny level bust. I see him being a solid player, just a reach and the Seahawks are an odd fit for him.
28: Ravens - Patrick Queen - MLB
This pick is definitely an A. Queen fell further than expected in the draft and he lands with a team that needed to bolster the middle of their defense. The linebacker position was the missing link to the Ravens defense and they really improved that by drafting Queen.
29: Titans - Isaiah Wilson - OT
I’m gonna grade this as a B-. The Titans were lacking a good tackle after losing Jack Conklin in free agency. However, like many other picks, this was a reach and I personally would’ve taken some tackles over him. The Titans could’ve traded back and gotten him in the second round while adding some more picks. Wilson is still a very good tackle and going with that position was necessary to keeping the great Derrick Henry run game alive.
30: Dolphins - Noah Igbinoghene - CB
This is a C+ for me. Getting Igbinoghene here is good value. But the Dolphins already have two very good corners, Xavien Howard and Byron Jones, who are the two highest paid corners in the league. I would’ve gone with a pass rusher or running back here.
31: Vikings - Jeff Gladney - CB
This pick is a B+. Addressing corner was essential to the Vikings. Gladney is a solid corner that probably won’t be amazing, but can play at a high level for a long time. He’s definitely a huge upgrade from who they had at the position.
32: Chiefs - Clyde Edwards-Helaire - RB
Kind of an odd pick and I’m going to give it a C. There are two or three better running backs in this draft; D’Andre Swift, Jonathan Taylor, and possibly J.K. Dobbins. Edwards-Helaire isn’t bad, I just think he should’ve gone in late in round two or early in round three. On the bright side, I’m a big fan of him. I compare him to both Mark Ingram and Frank Gore. He’s short and undersized but at the same time he’s strong, fierce, and hard to bring down. He is also a good pass catcher. Obviously the Chiefs just won the Super Bowl so I have to assume they know what they’re doing.

With so much free time currently and a heavy anticipation for normalcy aka the 2020 NFL Draft, I felt like it might be fun to take trip down memory lane. As such I'm going from 2010 to 2019 and aiming to take a long look at what the story was going into each draft, what the Cowboys got out of each draft and what might have been different had they made a few changes. 2010 The “Go For It” Year The Cowboys entered the start of the next decade coming off their most successful playoff run with the pieces in place to make a run for it. They had a tremendously successful three running back system with bruiser Marion Barber, speedster Felix Jones and well rounded #3 back Tashard Choice, they had just seen the emergence of Bill Parcells project and third year WR Miles Austin to go along with the likes of Patrick Crayton, Roy Williams and TE Jason Witten to create a superb receiving array for Tony Romo. All of this combined with an OL that sure SEEMED pretty solid meant that the Cowboys offense would be good to go for years on end. Defensively they were in need of playmakers but were buoyed by the complex blitzing schemes of Wade Phillips and two of the NFL’s better OLBs in DeMarcus Ware and Anthony Spencer. This all went to hell very quickly but let’s start with the 2010 draft and what I would deem the “Go For It” year that ultimately backfired. The draft on paper seemed focus on two spots going into it; defensive line help and offensive line help. The Cowboys OL seemed to be riding on its last days of dominance with Tony Romo getting stomped out against Minnesota’s uber aggressive front seven. Marc Colombo, once a revolutionary find under Bill Parcells, was cracking and Flozell Adams was finally removed from his perch as the Cowboys long term LT. The Cowboys 2007 4th round pick Doug Free had finally emerged as a starting caliber tackle and would be swung into the left tackle spot in the upcoming season. On the interior, Leonard Davis and Kyle Kosier were good but also on the wrong side of 30 and Andre Gurode was breaking down as well. The Cowboys brought in a bevvy of 1st round caliber OL (Mike Iupati among them), DL (Jared Odrick and Tyson Alualu) and a corner or two who would later be called within the first fifty picks. A few weeks before the draft, those plugged in began to float stories of Dez Bryant. If the internet back then was an ocean of misinformation then we were being given more and more buoys to guide us to shore. The Cowboys attended his pro day, they worked him out privately and brought him into Valley Ranch. They spoke with Deion Sanders about him. They were at the very least smitten and at most willing to risk it all on a wide receiver who represented so much uncertainty but also so much tantalizing talent. As it turns out, Jerry Jones will always remain Jerry Jones. The Cowboys spent their 1st round pick in a pretty Jerry Jones-ian fashion, swooping in an aggressive move up to snag a falling star. Dez Bryant’s offseason began technically in the middle of his junior season when he was suspended for lying to the NCAA over his somewhat questionable quasi illegal (by college football standards) relationship with Deion Sanders. In the offseason he was plagued by questions about his weight, commitment and speed. He had a pro day where he had to go back and get a different pair of cleats, stalling the entire workout and then disappointing with his speed. What the Cowboys saw though was what Dez proved to be in the NFL; a tremendous talent on the field who was built to play the X position in Jason Garrett’s offense. Realizing that they had a chance to make a move, the Cowboys moved UP ahead of the Baltimore Ravens to grab what they felt was the one missing piece to their offense. The Cowboys were willing to gamble on Dez Bryant’s upside in hopes that they could nurture and help develop him. They were going for it---and they took a chance on a guy they figured would bring out the most in Tony Romo. Then in the second round, the Cowboys AGAIN rolled the dice. They made a move up for Sean Lee, an oft injured star linebacker out of Penn State who had the ability to be a long term replacement to the likes of Keith Brooking and Bradie James. They were going for it; giving up assets to get stars. History has shown that the Cowboys were 100% right to make those moves. No matter how rocky the Dez relationship was and how sour the ending may bem, the Cowboys got All Pro level production out of him and he was in many ways their spirit through the trying Garrett years and the end of the Romo Era. Sean Lee has battled injuries his whole pro career but remains in Dallas to this day, no longer the ace of their defense but as a savvy vet who spot starts. The rest of the picks were a mixed bag and by mixed bag I mean an absolute disaster. My theory on drafting is that the proper way to grade day three is to take the number of picks you have and then break down the number of contributors you get from those picks. If you took the standard four players then at least half of those should be contributors. If you get six of those then you should be able to turn three of those into contributors. The more lottery tickets you have, the more likely you are to find SOMETHING of note. That wasn't the case here. 4th round pick Akwasi Awusu-Ansah was a complete bust; a corner/safety/special teams ace who couldn’t play any of those spots. 6th round pick Jamar Wall flopped in Dallas and bounced around the league in relative anonymity. The Cowboys did get a good player in 6th round OT Sam Young---but Young’s contributions as a swing tackle and spot starter were utilized elsewhere as he didn’t make the team. 7th round pick Sean Lissemore was eventually flipped a year later for a 6th round pick when the Cowboys went to a 4-3 defense. The Wade Phillips head coaching era came to a swift and unforgiving end after a 1-7 run that saw Tony Romo hurt against the rival New York Giants and his team quit on him at every opportunity thereafter. The end of Wade led to the rise of Jason Garrett and we all know how that script played out for the next nine years. Best Pick: Dez Bryant in the 1str round Biggest Miss: Awkwasi Awusu-Ansah in the 4th round Biggest Proximity Whiff: The Cowboys took Awkwasi Awusu-Ansah at pick 126. At pick 133, the Seattle Seahawks selected SS Kam Chancellor. Would Chancellor have solved the Cowboys safety issues for the next 5-10 years had they picked him instead? The Premiere UDFA Find: The Cowboys didn’t take a strong safety in the draft BUT they were able to nab a starting level safety in Barry Church in undrafted free agency. Church was a reliable dependable guy on the back end of the defense who also turned into a comp pick (that the Cowboys squandered on QB Mike White out of Western Kentucky) when he left for big money in Jacksonville. The “What If?”: The Cowboys gave up their 1st and 3rd round pick to move up and snag Dez Bryant. Let’s pose a different scenario. What if the Cowboys stick around at pick 27 and take CB Devin McCourty (who is still playing at a pretty high-ish level today), still move up for LB Sean Lee in round 2 and with their lost 3rd round pick, the Cowboys turn around and grab LB Navarro Bowman who Wade Phillips was smitten with ahead of Sean Lee? The Cowboys could’ve boasted one of the leagues best linebacker units in the middle (with Bradie James relegated to back up duty) and would’ve had a long term secondary stud in what has and continues to be a spot the Cowboys struggle to find answers for. I’m not sure if I’d prefer that BUT it’s worth discussing for gits and shiggles.

Virtual soccer 2009: what 가상축구패턴분석 you need to know
After two weeks of the NFL season, it’s safe to say that the championship 토토가상축구패턴분석 game is still up for grabs. As of now, we’ve seen some veteran players make it rain, some newcomers demonstrate that they’ve got what it takes to win, and a few first- or second-round disappointments. The bulk of the season is still ahead of us, and virtual soccer leagues will see many more surprises. Don’t worry about your picks. A look at some of the best (and worse) stories in the world of virtual soccer.
Experimentation is critical in both life and football.
The opening few weeks of the season have informed us all why established stars consistently rank as the best virtual soccer players. On NFL, Drew Brees is rated the best quarterback. He’s now in his fourth season with the Saints and still shows no signs of slowing down.
No one can deny that he was in charge of Philadelphia and that he is well-versed in his resources (see Colston and Henderson). Even if he didn’t play as well as predicted against the Jets, Tom Brady hasn’t lost his touch. A strong season is what I expect from him. For the Houston Texans, Andre Johnson has never been better. The first Tight End in NFL history to reach more than 11,000 yards was Tony Gonzalez. If you’re looking for a virtual soccer star, look no further than this guy. 가상축구패턴
The NFL 가상축구패턴분석 Rookies’ Report
There are a few young players who could have a big season. With Kyle Orton, Denver could have a new franchise quarterback. Now in his fifth season in the NFL, he’s quick to the snap and has a respectable accuracy rate. The Lions’ Calvin Johnson is a savvy and skilled player, but they still have a long way to go with quarterback Matthew Stafford. With Percy Harvin and Adrian Peterson, the Minnesota Vikings have a strong offensive line. Harvin and Peterson get along well with Brett Favre, and the three of them put together some impressive drives against the Browns and Lions this season. They’re going to be around for a long time to come. The Baltimore Ravens are the finest defensive team in the league. They wowed the crowds in both Kansas City and San Diego.
Athlete Status in the NFL
As a side note, let’s take a look at some of the injuries. Since Brian Urlacher will be sidelined the rest of the season, the Chicago Bears will be without a reliable defensive front. For the past two years, they’ve been working to improve their defense. If they don’t get imaginative in their coaching, they won’t be able to compete with the best in the league.
After the loss of Anthony Gonzalez, the Indianapolis Colts are also feeling the fire. The rest of the team’s wide receivers are average at best, thus the passing game is in jeopardy. Matt Hasselbeck’s injured rib hasn’t helped the Seattle Seahawks either. While he’s out, Seneca Williams will likely take his place on the starting lineup. Finally, Cowboys running back Marion Barber has been sidelined for at least two weeks with a quadriceps issue.
There is no way to predict the outcome of the Super Bowl based just on these early season events. Get the most out of this year’s virtual soccer season by keeping up with the latest NFL player news each week.
5 Things to Remember on Draft Day for Fantasy Football
I thought it would be a good idea to share some of my draft day guidelines since my fantasy drafts are rapidly approaching. Draft day has become one of the most anticipated days of the year for myself and other fantasy fans. Make sure your draft is a success by following these five basic guidelines.
Be ready for anything.
As basic as this rule may sound, it’s the most critical one for the draft. The first three rounds are vital to establishing the basis of your team, so it’s important to have a clear notion of who you’re going after. A list of late-round value players you’d like to pursue after round ten is just as vital.
how to win at 토토사이트 sports betting
A few printouts of rankings from one or two websites or a virtual soccer magazine acquired on the way to the draft are typical. A little preparation ahead of time can help you determine an average ranking of several sites while taking into account rank variances. If there is a lack of agreement among the “Experts,” the deviation will give you a sense of that. In addition, I keep tabs on the results offered by search engines like Yahoo and other web hosts. There are always a few people that stick to the ranks exactly. Take advantage of these players when they go undrafted in the upcoming draft.
There is no need 실시간가상축구패턴분석 for the RB/RB rule.
You no longer need to select two running backs in the first two rounds of the draft, according to the old rule. The single-back offense has become extinct in football over the last few years as the sport has evolved into a multi-back attack. So, the top three running backs in my rankings have a lot of value for their teams because they are going to get the most of the work.
Don’t be scared to utilize your pick on a top-tier wideout or quarterback if you don’t get a top-five or six picks. If you’re going to take a running back with the “foundation” pick, take someone more likely to succeed.
Adaptability is key.
The first rule of the draft is to have lists of your overall rankings and sleepers/value picks ready, as I said in rule #1. There are times when the draft doesn’t go according to plan, and it’s crucial to remain adaptable and not miss out on a good opportunity. Someone always takes your sleeper picks early, or there is a mid-round running back rush that knocks you off guard. You can’t control other managers, and it’s almost a certainty that one of them will make a terrible decision that throws everyone else off.
Before the final two rounds, do not select a kicker.
But for some reason, managers continue to use mid to late-round picks on kickers despite many authors preaching this for years. When it comes to kickers, there isn’t much of a difference between the best and the rest of your squad. Adding insult to injury, a good kicker can turn out to be a horrible one the following year. Early picks would be better spent on backup wide receivers and running backs that I could trade for bate in the second half of the season.
Trading Isn’t a Fearful Option.
Even though it doesn’t directly pertain to the draft, fantasy players should be aware of this. One of the most enjoyable components of virtual soccer is trading players. Seeing who comes out on top in a negotiation is a lot of fun. The fear of getting screwed over prevents some managers from making trades, resulting in an opportunity to strengthen their squad being lost. Since I started my fantasy football league ten years ago, I’ve won three championships. Looking back over my winning squads, I discovered that making a few deals was what helped me win.

There’s a notable increase of Utah ties in the NFL this offseason
New Post has been published on https://tattlepress.com/nfl/theres-a-notable-increase-of-utah-ties-in-the-nfl-this-offseason/
There’s a notable increase of Utah ties in the NFL this offseason
Tumblr media
Each summer over the past eight years, the Deseret News has created a master list of Utah ties in the NFL during the offseason. This year, there are 89 Utah ties on an NFL roster just a few weeks before teams head to training camps near the end of July.
How does the number of Utah ties on NFL rosters in 2021 stack up to past seasons?
The 89 Utah ties currently in the NFL is significantly higher than the past three seasons — there were 74 last season, 76 in 2019 and 79 in 2018.
The 2017 offseason set the standard in recent years, when there were 90 local players on NFL rosters around this time, paced by a strong contingent of 35 rookies. Earlier this offseason, there were 90 Utah ties on NFL rosters, before former South Sevier High’s Alani Pututau was released by Atlanta.
In 2016, there were 75 Utah ties on rosters during the summer, with 70 in 2015 and 66 in 2014.
This year’s crop of 89 local players includes 16 rookies, with eight draft picks and eight undrafted free agents.
Here’s a breakdown of those 89 players (note: they can count towards multiple categories):
29 who played at the University of Utah (down from 30 last year)
26 who played at BYU (up from 12 last year)
14 who played at Utah State (down from 15 last year)
4 who played at Weber State (equal to 4 last year)
4 who played at Snow College (equal to 4 last year)
1 who played at Southern Utah (down from 2 last year)
42 who played football at Utah high schools (up from 30 last year)
So, why is there such an increase of Utah ties this year?
Three main reasons contribute to the sizable jump of Utah ties in the NFL:
BYU went from 12 players in the NFL in the 2020 offseason to 26 this year. There are 13 Cougars who will be rookies in 2021 — if they make it to an opening day roster — headlined by quarterback Zach Wilson, the No. 2 overall selection by the New York Jets in the 2021 NFL draft.
The number of Utah high school players in the NFL saw an increase of 40% from last year to this year. In addition to Wilson, who went to Corner Canyon High, former Desert Hills High’s offensive tackle Penei Sewell was a first-round draft pick — he went No. 7 overall to the Detroit Lions — and there were seven total Utah high schoolers taken in this year’s draft. There are a total of 10 Utah high school rookies overall.
The University of Utah, yet again, leads the way among state representatives, and the number of Utes only went down one even though longtime quarterback Alex Smith retired and no Utah rookies were drafted — thanks in large part to COVID-19 impacting the past year. Even so, the Utes have had 21 players drafted in the past five years and 18 of them are still in the league.
Here’s a look at each Utah tie in the NFL, listed by team in alphabetical order:

Recruiting Character, Not Characters
FUNdamental Skills
By Darren Fenster / July 20, 2018
Following his team’s punching their ticket to Super Bowl XLVII, in a nationally televised post-game tirade in January of 2014, Richard Sherman of the Seattle Seahawks showed the world the very worst in sportsmanship. So bad, in fact, that in the two weeks leading up to the NFL’s final game, there was as much chatter about Sherman and his antics as there was about the game itself, taking the spotlight off of the team and placing it on a single player.
“I’m the best,” he shouted into the cameras, with Erin Andrews by his side, shocked by what she was witnessing.
“Don’t you ever talk about me,” he warned, as the rest of his team was celebrating an NFC title.
“Try me with a sorry receiver like Crabtree.”
On February 2nd, 2014, Richard Sherman made his first-ever appearance in the Super Bowl - a team’s pinnacle in football - and yet, just moments following the game’s conclusion all he could talk about was how great he was, and how “sorry” Michael Crabtree of the Oakland Raiders was.
Think of some of the most respected athletes of our time, like Derek Jeter, Peyton Manning, and Michael Jordan. Three guys whose careers have represented the best of the best. A huge reason behind their reverence in the sporting world is due to the fact that they all have won humbly and graciously with superior talent, and would have never acted remotely close to what we saw from Sherman.
In what should have been a time to celebrate the team, Richard Sherman taught us how bad it looks to celebrate the “me.” Judging by the mass coverage to his outburst received at the time, he also taught us that character still counts…
——————
From April 2006 to December 2011, prior to joining the Red Sox, I had the pleasure of working on the coaching staff at my alma mater, Rutgers University, under ABCA Hall-of-Famer Fred Hill, the man who is pretty much solely responsible for my joining the coaching fraternity. During that time I was a part of the inner-workings of a college baseball program, learning, understanding, and later, shaping my beliefs as to how and why players would become a part of the team.
Coach Hill had a saying that you could only have one jerk in your program at a time, and if he’s a jerk, he had better be extremely good. What he was talking about was not the kid’s athletic ability, but rather his character and who he was as a person. When one bad seed is surrounded by 34 quality guys, he would have no other choice but to get in line with the high moral standard of Rutgers University Baseball. More than one jerk and there is the potential for cancer to spread throughout the clubhouse like wildfire, which we had a couple examples of as well.
When we went out to recruit a potential student-athlete, not only did he need to be good enough athletically on the field, he needed to fit in with the character of those who make us who we are off the diamond. With limited scholarship money, our decisions as to who we were going to offer often came down to that player’s personality than how far he can hit a baseball. We had instances where we’ve brought kids on because we loved WHO they were as people, and we had times where we backed off others because we knew they weren’t what we were all about.
People in our industry often ask what recruiting was like, and the challenges that come with the territory. Much like professional scouts explain when considering whether or not to draft a player, we can see what is on the outside, but have to dig deep to learn what is on the inside-those character and make-up traits that truly make or break a player. Players and parents would be shocked to learn of what coaches, recruiters, and scouts look for when evaluating a potential prospect. Still to this day, I cannot believe the following three stories of guys we were recruiting heavily, who thankfully crossed themselves off of our list.
Bring Your Mittens and Warm Milk
The first was a front-line pitching prospect with great stuff, and sure-fire professional potential. A big money scholarship candidate, in a sport where big money rarely exists. Over email, we had set up a meeting following one of our games when our staff would lay out our program, show him and his family around campus, and finish by making him an offer.
The game came and went, and he didn’t show.
The next day, I emailed telling him that I was sorry that he and his folks couldn’t make it, and that we were looking forward to having him on campus in the very near future.
His reply solidified his future WITHOUT us.
“Thanks for the note Coach Fenster. I actually did come to the game, but was so cold that I just had my dad take me home after a couple innings. I will try to make it up again soon.”
For those who aren’t familiar with Rutgers, it is the State University of New Jersey. Spring weather isn’t exactly Miami Beach. One of the things we prided ourselves on at Rutgers was our ability to come out of a cold-weather climate to compete at a very high level. We had a chip on our shoulder because of the cold. We were tough because of the cold. This pitcher would never have the privilege of experiencing how we did it.
Hustling is Conditional
The next story is about an offensive second baseman. While I hadn’t had the opportunity to see this kid play, he was the talk of the town, and a headline in the newspaper seemingly after every game. In print, this kid was putting up the type of numbers that we would have loved to have in the middle of our lineup. It was time for me to see the second-coming of Robinson Cano with my own two eyes.
In his first at-bat, he hit a swinging bunt down the third base line, and high-tailed it down the line and gave me an above average running time as he beat the throw for an infield single. I absolutely loved the grit and determination.
Out in the field that next half inning, he ranged far up the middle to make a challenging backhand play that showed me the type of range, footwork, and arm strength that very few have.
His second at-bat came with a runner on, and his team down a run. I am not sure if the ball has landed yet. Yeah, he might have pimped it a bit, but definitely showed plus power and was pumped when he crossed home plate. It looked like he had a passion to play the game, and I was getting ready to call Coach Hill to get his approval to offer this kid who we had heard so much about a scholarship. In the first three innings of the game, he exceeded my expectations.
Then came the second half of the game.
Back out on defense, the pitcher walked the leadoff hitter, and my guy began yelling to “throw strikes,” but not in an encouraging manner. Hmm… that wasn’t fun to see. Next batter hits a tailor-made double play ground ball to the shortstop who boots it, and my guy at second throws his arms up in disgust, completely showing up his teammate. Hmm…it looked like this kid had some warts under that uniform.
On to his third at-bat, with the game close. He skies a pop-up to the left side of the infield, and “ran” to first at a pace that was slower than most people’s walking speed. As he got back to the dugout, I couldn’t figure out if it was his helmet’s fault that he popped up…or his batting gloves fault…or the water cooler’s fault, because he threw or hit them all.
I had seen enough. Instead of staying after to offer this kid a scholarship, I left. Despite being the type of player we wanted (and needed), he clearly wasn’t the type of person we wanted. His character, or lack thereof, won out.
SHUT UP MOM!
When we recruited players, we recruited their parents as well. It was important to us for them to be involved in the process, so they were aware of everything we had to offer to help the kid make a decision. Contrary to what a high school junior tells you, they do not have all the answers, and we made sure the parents knew that.
Our recruiting visits were very informal, where our staff sat on chairs and couches around a coffee table, across from the player and his family. We wanted to just talk about the program and answer whatever questions they had about us. Sometimes the kid did all the talking, and often times, the parents joined in as well.
With this particular recruit, who was a middle infielder we invited in with the sole purpose of offering him a scholarship, the meeting started off on the wrong foot immediately as he walked through the door. His ragged jeans were draped low, literally with his backside hanging out of them, and his hat was on backwards.
While I was more uncomfortable seeing this kid’s underwear creeping out of his pants, Coach Hill was as old-school of a baseball coach as there ever was, and very few things got under his skin more than the backwards hat.
I knew this meeting might not be what we expected when it began by Coach Hill telling the kid to take off his hat, which he clearly didn’t like judging from his body language. As we went through our talking points, this kid couldn’t have been less interested in what we had to say, and his parents were doing all the talking.
At one point, after we asked about his goals, the kid gave us a very short answer. His mother interjected, trying to get her son to elaborate more about what he wanted to accomplish in the game, when the kid asserted:
“SHUT UP MOM, I AM TALKING!”
At that very moment, this recruit sealed his own fate and any possible future with Rutgers Baseball. We figured if this kid had no respect for the two people who have provided him with everything in his life over the past 17 years, there was no way he was ever going to respect our coaches, staff, or players.
——————
All three of these stories have a couple of common themes. First, they were all talented enough to play college baseball at a very high level, yet, because of their character (or lack thereof), they lost out on one potential opportunity to do so. In addition, NONE of their careers panned out in the manner that their ability should have enabled them to be successful. All three players bounced around between a number of different schools over the course of their college careers, where surely each coach realized a bit too late what we saw all early on.
The bottom line is this: Whether it be with a kid earning a college scholarship, making his high school junior varsity team, or getting drafted, one thing should ALWAYS hold true: character DOES count.

Meet the sons of former NFL players taking over the 2021 draft class
Tumblr media
Want to feel old? The 2021 draft is filled with sons of NFL players you used to watch.
There’s a not-so-fun cycle of being a sports fan. As a kid, your idols are all adults — viewed from far away, and serving as inspiration. The next jump happens in college, when suddenly players entering the league are your age, and it’s kind of neat. In your early twenties it’s still fun, and people slightly younger than you are becoming superstars.
The pivot begins in your late 20s. At this point you suffer the crippling weight of realization that players destined to be millionaires will be more financially successful than you ever will, and they’re a decade younger than you. Now, I’m reaching the final stage: Hilarity. This is when the players you watched as a kid have their own children entering the league. A grim realization of the unstoppable passage of time,
And on that cheery note, I’d like you to share in my grim existential crisis by learning about all the players entering the 2021 NFL Draft who had parents you watch play years ago, and some who entered the league in recent years you may have missed. It’s my hope that you’ll feel terrible about all this when it’s over, because misery loves company.
Patrick Surtain II, CB — Alabama
The highest-rated prospects of the NFL children this class, Patrick Surtain II is, you guessed it, the son of Patrick Surtain. Surtain Sr. played 10 years in the NFL at cornerback for the Dolphins and Chiefs, being named to the All-Pro team in 2002 and 2003.
Surtain Sr. was a highly-rated small-school prospect when he entered the league out of Southern Miss, but his son is a very different player at the same point in his career. A five star recruit who played for Alabama, Surtain II has prototypical size for the modern cornerback position at 6’2, 202 pounds — and is expected to be one of the first defensive backs off the board in the draft.
Unlike his father, who needed to prove himself in the NFL, Surtain II will be expected to enter the league from day one, not just as one of the best defensive backs on his team, but ready to take on a leadership position.
Will he be better than dad?
It’s likely. That’s not a knock on Patrick Surtain Sr, but rather an acknowledgment of just how incredible Surtain II is. Yes, he was on a dominant Alabama team, but between his time in Tuscaloosa and his tutelage under his father we’re going to see a monster in the NFL.
Asante Samuel Jr, CB — Florida State
When you talk about a chip off the old block, this is one heck of a father-son comparison. Asante Samuel Jr. is the exact same height as his dad, and just one pound lighter than his father’s playing weight.
Once seen as a lock first round pick, Samuel Jr. has fallen a little down draft boards after putting in an excellent, but not transcendent final season for the Seminoles, but he’ll still be selected on day two, no question. There are still things he needs to learn to become a true force in the NFL, but that’s really appropriate, considering his dad did the same.
While Asante Samuel was drafted by the Patriots and played four years in New England, most remember him for his time in Philadelphia. The prize of the 2008 free agency class, Samuel quickly signed with the Eagles and became one of the best cornerbacks in the NFL.
For three straight years he was named to the Pro Bowl, making the All-Pro team in two of these years. A big-play, ball-hawking cornerbacks, Samuel wasn’t just known for locking down top receivers, but absolutely turning games with big-time interceptions that teams crave.
Will he be better than dad?
Asante Samuel was one of the best defensive players in the entire league for a good chunk of his career. There’s possibility here, but it will require a little humility from Samuel Jr, and a willingness to learn the finer points of playing cornerback in the NFL.
Jaycee Horn, CB — South Carolina
This is a fun case of seeing a son completely flip positions from his father. Everyone knows the great Joe Horn, who played wide receiver in the NFL from 1996-2007, most notably with the New Orleans Saints, but Jacee Horn has become a force of a cornerback at South Carolina.
Similar to Asante Samuel Jr, Horn was once seen as a first round lock but has been sliding lower with concerns whether his game was too based on the ability to make contact with receivers in the college game, which may not translate to the NFL. That sounds a lot more dire than it really is, because Horn will be a day two pick for sure — and would likely start for most teams in the NFL from the jump.
It’s going to be interesting to see how Jaycee adapts to the NFL. Here’s a kid who, presumably, spent many of his formative years covering his dad. That will be interesting to watch. The biggest tragedy of Joe Horn’s career is that he caught on too late. After languishing on the Chiefs’ special teams unit for years, it wasn’t until he arrived on the Saints that he showed his potential — often playing much larger than his 6’1 frame would suggest. A jump ball master, Horn would out-muscle smaller DBs and come down with ball, being a nightmare matchup for opposing defensive coordinators.
Will he be better than dad?
That’s a difficult question considering they play different positions. Joe Horn was a four time Pro Bowler for the Saints, and probably deserved more than he ended up getting — but everything is really on Jaycee Horn as he develops in the NFL. If the metric we’re using is Pro Bowl appearances and All-Pro teams he certainly has a chance, because his dad felt so often like he was on the outside looking in.

JULES RULES 2019 NFL Mock Draft
Note: I will start doing mock drafts with trades once the full order is set
Cardinals: Nick Bosa DE
I think the Cardinals go with the best player available, and that is Nick Bosa.
49ers: Quinnen Williams DT
The 49ers need a defensive lineman. Quinnen Williams is arguably the best player in the draft, but they get him at 2.
Jets: Josh Allen OLB
The Jets badly need an edge rusher. Allen is the second best edge rusher behind Bosa. It’s a perfect fit.
Raiders: Kyler Murray QB
I’m guessing the Raiders trade Derek Carr at some point before the draft. Drafting Murray before heading to Vegas is a very Jon Gruden thing to do.
Buccaneers: Greedy Williams CB
The Buccaneers defense was horrendous last season, and I don’t think anyone would disagree. Getting one of the best cornerback prospects in recent years is what they’ll do with the 5th pick.
Giants: Rashan Gary DE
Dave Gettleman always takes the best player available. He also loves his big guys up front. He does both right now with getting an athletic freak in Rashan Gary. He’s 6′5, 282 and has a 4.57 40 time.
Jaguars: Dwayne Haskins QB
The Jags still think they can be a playoff team, but if you want to get far in the playoffs, you can’t have Blake Bortles at quarterback. That’s why they get Dwayne Haskins, who was the best quarterback prospect of this draft class until Kyler Murray declared. He’s also played well in big games, beating Michigan and beating Washington in the Rose Bowl are a couple of those.
Lions: Clelin Ferrell DE
The Lions might lose Ezekiel Ansah in free agency and I wouldn't be too surprised if Matt Patricia stockpiles defensive lineman. He gets the best one available in Ferrell.
Bills: Jonah Williams OT
The Bills took Josh Allen with their first rounder last year. This year they get an offensive lineman to protect him.
Broncos: Ed Oliver DT
The Broncos need a defensive lineman because they’ve got a few that will be free agents. Vic Fangio will LOVE taking Ed Oliver here. He’s been compared to Aaron Donald and you can see why. He’s got 13.5 sacks and 53 tackles for a loss in his 32 games at Houston.
Bengals: Dexter Lawrence DT
The Bengals have lots of needs so they take the best player available in Dexter Lawrence. He falls back a few spots due to missing the last couple games of Clemson’s season for being tested positive for the substance ostarine.
Packers: Jachai Polite OLB
The Packers are pretty much set on offense but have defensive issues. They get the best pass rusher available to replace Clay Matthews.
Dolphins: Drew Lock QB
Ryan Tannehill is demanding lots of money and the Dolphins will surely not keep him. Drew Lock is a gunslinging quarterback with lots of potential that their new coach will love.
Falcons: Jeffery Simmons DT
The Falcons fired all their coordinators after a disappointing season. You’ve got to assume that they’ll improve the defense. They need a defensive lineman and they get one that got 14.5 tackles for a loss and a sack.
Redskins: Daniel Jones QB
I hate to say this, but I don’t see Alex Smith coming back. Daniel Jones is the best quarterback available and they’ll need him if they plan to contend next season.
Panthers: Greg Little OT
The Panthers can’t win without Cam Newton. They take an offensive lineman to keep him upright.
Browns: Brian Burns DE
No positions stand out when thinking of positions the Browns need. My guess is Dorsey will fortify their defensive line with Brian Burns after passing on Bradley Chubb last season.
Vikings: DeAndre Baker CB
The Vikings love to take defensive players in the first round. They do just that with DeAndre Baker who has locked down receivers all season long. He had 40 tackles with 9 pass breakups and 2 interceptions this past season.
Titans: Montez Sweat DE
The Titans defense was outstanding last season but they still need some edge rushers. Sweat had 11 sacks last year and is just what they need.
Steelers: AJ Brown WR
The Steelers are looking like they’ll trade Antonio Brown and if they do they’ll need a receiver. AJ Brown can be a #1 receiver and him and Smith-Schuster can provide Roethlisberger with a fantastic 1-2 receiver duo.
Seahawks: David Edwards OT
The Seahawks NEED an offensive lineman. Russell Wilson has pressure in his face constantly, while, when they don't run the ball he does. And they draft their future left tacker in David Edwards.
Ravens: DK Metcalf WR
The Ravens defense is good, they’re running game is good, but providing them with a good receiver will make defenses somewhat fear the passing game.
Texans: Jawaan Taylor OT
Deshaun Watson got sacked the most times in the league, and it’s not like he can’t run. The Texans have to find away to protect him and get a reliable pass protecter in Jawaan Taylor.
Raiders (From Bears): Deionte Thompson FS
The Raiders have three first rounders. With this one they take the best player available. He was by far the best free safety in college football but will fall due to his poor performance in the Championship game.
Eagles: Zach Allen DE
With Chris Long and Brandon Graham both potentially leaving, the Eagles take a defensive lineman. Zach Allen had 61 tackles, 14 tackles for a loss, 7 sacks, and 7 passes defended this season.
Raiders (From Cowboys) Kelvin Harmon WR
After trading Amari Cooper to the Cowboys, the Raiders will most likely take a receiver with one of their three first rounders. Harmon had 81 receptions for 1186 yards and 7 touchdowns. He is a good run after the catch receiver with toughness.
Patriots: Mack Wilson MLB
I said I wouldn't do trades in my mock drafts yet, but realistically I see them trading down. If they don’t trade down, they’ll take the best player available. Mack Wilson had 63 tackles, 5 pass deflections and 2 interceptions while only playing in the first half because Alabama was normally blowing out opponents.
Chiefs: Amani Oruwariye CB
I don’t know what the Chiefs will do with this pick, but I do know that they will get a defensive player. This may be a bit of a reach, but they need a cornerback so bad that they’re willing to take the risk.
Chargers: Tre Lamar MLB
The Chargers played 7 defensive backs on more than 90 percent of their plays against the Ravens, and while it was a really smart move, it was partly because they didn’t have any healthy linebackers. Lamar had 69 tackles with 5.5 tackles for a loss and 3 sacks. They’ll take the best linebacker available here.
Packers (From Saints): Josh Jacobs RB
The Packers don’t need more weapons for Rodgers but they hired Matt LaFleur and he’ll be tasked with making the offense go and making it go fast. Pairing Jacobs with Aaron Jones would give the Packers a great running back duo. Jacobs did lots of plays from the wildcat formation at Alabama, and LaFleur ran lots of plays from the wildcat formation with Derek Henry as the Titans offensive coordinator. It’s a perfect match.
Rams: Jaylon Ferguson DE
The Rams have a good defense but are in need of an edge rusher. He had 17.5 sacks and 26 tackles for a loss this season. Wade Phillips will love to use him.
Colts: N’Keal Harry WR
I love the idea of the Colts getting a wide receiver. Harry had 73 receptions for 1088 yards and 9 touchdowns. Pairing him with Andrew Luck would be scary for opposing defenses, not to mention he’d be a great compliment to TY Hilton.
