It's such a crime that we never got to see Jestro become a knight. Like from knights of the realm and their relationship in the rest of the show it feels like it was always supposed to be the six of them. Jestro would provide so much to their dynamic and the team too- I imagine he'd probably be a magic user which would be very unique and really add to fights. It is so sad that this never happened in the show

Shoutout to every description of Grinstead saying that it's a coastal beach town, and how season 4 both didn't even put it near water and then made it another default village. Also shoutout to the fact that, when Monstrox smashed Grinstead to pieces, Aaron literally had zero (0) reaction, despite talking about his hometown very fondly multiple times throughout the series, and apparently having a family of 14 siblings (who he never mentions) in mortal danger. And then ALSO, my absolute favorite, major shoutout to the writers choosing to give Aaron a spotlight in season 4 with what could've been an intresting way to develoup him, dive deeper into origin stories, how the knight's relationships are challenged with Clay being out of commission, and then proceeding to do absolutely nothing with the concept while similtanously just making Aaron's personality turn into Clay's, rendering the entire decision pointless.
Especially that one episode all about Jestro and Monstrox using a forbidden power that induces fear. If only there were an established character who just got put into a new, challenging and stressful position, who has 3 seasons worth of build up to establish how he's apparently fearless. And who is currently showing signs of doubt in his abilities. I couldn't possibibly think of a way to utilize this concept in a way that would work to expand a previously somewhat background character who got moved into a more forefront position. And I certainly hope that this character, when told to his face about how hard he's failing by his supposed-to-be-closer-than-the-others best friend, that their rising tension goes absolutley nowhere and nobody learns anything. Honestly I think that's the best narrative choice
Anyways on a completely unrelated note, I need somebody to give me the address of Tommy Andresean. For no particular reason
Being a late 2010s kid was mad because most of the tv and film that fundamentally changed and shaped you as a person wasn’t even GOOD. I would not be the idiot I am today without the absolute crap that aired in my youth.
Late 2010s nostalgia is always “This may be utter flaming surface-level garbage but I will defend it with my life.”
It’s like stockholm syndrome. If you told 8 year old me I’d be nostalgic about Justin Bieber music one day I’d have slapped you. But here I am. Like I’m so young I unironically watched Teletubbies as a child (not to say I enjoyed it, but still-).
Respect to our decade for the pure insanity that was the media landscape, we had a good run lads.
“What can I say? If you’re on the list, you’re on the list”
Ive returned with au content!
I was messing around with the transitions and stuff and I’m very happy with how it turned out!
Also really excited! Putting more thought and a little lore into this au! It’s still early so there’s still so much that need to be revealed and stuff and a lot I’m still figuring it out.
And so far you guys seem pretty interested in this au, so I’m gonna do my best to keep you hooked!
Also please give me AU name suggestions. Realize it doesn’t really have a proper name so yeah! I’m open for suggestions
Also I’m also very open to suggestions or questions about anything in this AU. Tbh I just need an excuse to like get more content done and or encouragement depending on. So ask on!
Until whenever I return with more content, see ya!
Just judging from episode 1 and the recap from episode 2, Clay is kinda precious isn’t he.
Okay he is yelling. Maybe he is not precious. But he’s precious to ME. Is Clay and Lance bickering going to be a feature of this series? It’s pretty entertaining. Lance demanding his nap times be respected is pretty relatable though honestly.
But what just happened to li’l sad baby Jestro? Were the liver spots and crooked teeth they gave him a symptom of his new evil infection or did the show runners get infected with poor character design brain? Ugly as shorthand for evil is so 20 years ago. At least his little hat tails are cute.
Oh and now there’s a hologram wizard. Neat. Merlok beta lmao. And he brought power ups! Cackling that this kid just complained that “Merlok 2.0 sounds like something from 20 years ago” immediately after I typed that though.
On episode three and digging the pop culture references, although I’m not sure how many people would catch a reference to The Day the Earth Stood Still? Although I guess plenty of other shows and games have done the Klaatu barada nikto thing.
“I only sleep two hours a day” Clay. Clay no. Boy take a nap. Let Lance show you his nap schedule.
And yes I am very enjoying the Lance and Clay bickering, as expected, that’s good stuff. Some of the faces they make are just. Perfection.
Still feeling bad for Jestro, somebody get that boy some self esteem.
Not sure yet how I feel about the power ups apparently suffering from the equivalent to poor cell service, gonna be waiting for that to become a problem again in the future. It’s pretty interesting, hope it comes up again.
