going onto wikipedia to find stuff about albums im interested in is so hard because i have to fucking dodge all the review information because god forbid a bunch of people make a job out of viewing music critically

#i get why reviews exist. but also for albums n stuff they feel so pointless #YES some things may be inherently ''better'' than others but music as a whole feels like something people experience personally #a song i might think is incredible might be the worst thing someone has ever heard. and both can be right lol #idk it's like....food maybe. theres food reviews and stuff but i dont see the point of them if you know what you like #feels very much like someone just wanted to make a job out of nothing #music ANALYSIS is fine i dont have a problem with that. it's moreso the 5/5 stars or whatever system #though tbf i think i despise that thing in any medium it gets applied to. it's inherently just kinda reductive
