Your body idly sat there, feet propped up on the table infront of you, the silence of the house -besides your breathing- filled your ears. On your wrist lay the watch he gifted you, the time reading 9:12. Peculiar it was, the your always on-time boyfriend was now ironically taking longer than he'd planned.

You didn't overthink of course, he'd just been all too kept up in work, that the time you wished to have with him diminished. He knew this, you knew this, so you always spent free time together, compromising for the latest schedule clashes.

"Darling, are we about ready to go? You've been occupied in your own mind again, hm?"

Two hands found your shoulders and massaged them, fingers slowly traveling your skin, going up to your neck, down to your upper arms, anywhere they could occupy.

You slightly leaned back into the touch, excited from the generous love he gave to you often.
