Chara x Frisk fanfiction:
Proship, Abusive relationships, cinnamon roll/crybaby frisk, meanie Chara but not evil
Tumblr media
Birds chirped on the beautiful Friday morning, and the sound of the other kids laughing and playing with each other sounded nice in Frisk ears.
Frisk watched them play tag and hide & seek and other games that looked fun right now, wishing they had the courage to go up and ask to play with them, ask to participate and hangout more and maybe even be friends.
Well, they mean they wish they had the courage to ask Chara if they could play with them.
Frisk winced at Chara, who dug their nails in Frisk's skin. "Were you listening to anything I said?" Frisk gulped as tears formed in their eyes and softly shook their head. Frisk leaned towards Chara a bit preparing to get hit, but Chara just sighed and pouted.
"You're so spacy Frisky, Geez. This is why you got me around cause someone here can't keep their head screwed on right, hehe." Chara pinches Frisk's cheeks with a big smile, Frisk whines and the tears that were building up finally fall and Chara leans close to lick them up. "Crybaby."
Frisk is the one to pout this time. "Whatcha thinkin about?" Chara asks. Frisk looks back at the kids, who look to be starting another round.
"C-chara?" Frisk stutters.
"Y-yes? Hehe." Chara mocks jokingly.
"I…I know you d-don't like the other kids," Frisk can feel Chara's nails dig into their wrist again, causing blood to trickle down, but foolishly Frisk continues. "B-b-but could we just t-try? I'm sure it would be f-fun." Frisk gains some of their confidence and perks up. "Yeah! It would be fun! We could play tag and hopscotch, Oh! Or monkey in the middle! Wouldn't that be-"
As frisk turned they met Chara's dead sunken eyes, their eyes completely gone and the only thing left was empty sockets. Frisk flinched and looked down, staring at their bandaid ridden legs.
Chara was making that creepy face again.
"I might be going crazy, cause I know you didn't just ask me that."
Frisk said nothing in response.
All of a sudden Chara grabbed Frisk's hair and yanked hard, Frisk yelped loudly like a wounded puppy and this drew the other kids' attention.
"You say you know that I don't like the other kids and you ask me anyway? What is wrong with you!?"
What is wrong with Frisk?
"You're supposed to be my friend Frisk!" Chara yelled loudly. "Friends don't ask other friends to do things they're not comfortable with! I can't believe you would do this to me! I've never done something like this to you, what have I ever done to make you hate me?" Chara slashed at Frisk's cheek, not slapping, more of clawing down their skin leaving big gashes. The other kids stared at the scene and Frisk felt embarrassed, tears kept falling and frisk couldn't see anymore.
"What are you looking at!?" Chara yelled, seemingly at the kids staring before dragging Frisk away by their hair.
"Did you see that? Did you see how they all just stared at you?! None of them spoke up for you! None of them even tried to defend you, even though we both know you're the one that's wrong." Chara throws Frisk to the grow and frisk does nothing but curls in a ball and cries. "They don't care about you! No one cares about you except for me!" Chara shakes their head in disappointment, looking away from Frisk. "I thought you were…. I thought…" Chara sighs. "I thought you were better than this."
Frisk crawls towards Chara's feet and lays there. Frisk feels so stupid, of course those kids didn't care about them. They seem nice but everyone has some bad side to them.
But everyone also has a good side as well, like all the friends they made in the underground.
Frisk shakes their head and cries harder, squeezing their arms around Chara's leg. No, they need to stop being so naive, humans are different from monsters. Chara talks about it all the time, and Frisk knows all too well that it's true.
"I'm sorry, I'm sorry." Frisk whimpers. Chara pats Frisk's head. "I forgive you, gosh I can never stay mad at you, ya crybaby." Chara kneels down and pulls Frisk in a hug. "I-I feel so stupid." Chara just nods. "You are kinda stupid, but that's ok, cause I'm here to help, remember? Like it's always been, even before I had a soul." Frisk nods and silent tears fall from their face.
Chara stands pulling Frisk up with them. "I think I'm done playing, you wanna go home? Mom can make us some pie?" Frisk nods, they don't want to stay around the kids anyway. "Ok, and stop crying. You've been through worse." Chara grabs Frisk's wrist and begins pulling them home. Frisk runs a hand up their sweater sleeve feeling the multiple bumps and bruises and bandaids on their soft skin.
Yeah, they have been through worse. Luckily though monster food heals really well.
"Butterscotch or cinnamon?" Chara asks.
"Whatever you want." Frisk replies.
"Butterscotch it is then!" Chara cheers jumping in the air, still holding Frisk's wrist. Chara is fun to hangout with, Frisk thinks to themself. They don't need anymore friends, They have Toriel, Asgore, the skele bros and more. Of course most importantly they have Chara. They don't need anymore friends.
After all, quality is better than quantity.
