So, I started replaying Nier Replicant today, and have come to a really funny revelation:

We all know that the protagonist/Nier/The World Ender/Lad can't swim, right? Like, the game itself makes fun of him for it:

Now, obviously this is because Cavia couldn't program in a swimming mechanic, in the same way that the reason the Earth's rotation has stopped because they couldn't get a day-night cycle working, but here's the thing: if you take a look at Nier's house:

HIS HOUSE IS LITERALLY ON TOP OF A POND. YOU COULD EASILY AT LEAST LEARN TO SWIM IN THAT. THIS BOY HAS BEEN LIVING HERE FOR 16 YEARS, AND EVEN FIVE YEARS AFTER THIS HE HASN'T LEARNT HOW TO SWIM. GODDAMN HE'S DUMB.
