Alright, looks like we’ve got a rough idea for a plot for this year’s Evanstan Round Robin! Thanks so much to everyone who pitched in ideas <3

Combining all your suggestions, it looks like we’re going with a strangers/friends to lovers scenario where one or both of the boys miss their flight and get stranded somewhere due to weather conditions around the holidays (either Christmas or just NYE) and are ‘forced’ to share a space together – either a hotel room, a holiday cottage, or Chris’s place in Boston. That will of course offer plenty of potential for growing romantic and sexual tension (lingering glances, changing clothes in front of each other, falling asleep on the couch together or even sharing a bed, etc.) So what initially looks like bad luck ultimately turns out to be the best thing that could’ve ever happened to them…

We just have to decide whether we want to make it an AU or ‘real life’ Chris and Seb! I’ll put everyone’s ideas under the cut so you guys can browse them again if you want, and then I’d like to ask you to comment on this post with either ‘AU’ or ‘Real Life’ so I can keep a tally. Also feel free to add any comments and preferences (for instance: Christmas vs NYE, what location they get stranded in, and, in the case of an AU, whether they'd be strangers or friends)

I’ll try to take it all into account, and then I’ll send everyone an email this weekend with the final idea and questions regarding availability for the posting schedule.

I’m thinking an NYE thing. Maybe their flight(s) get canceled due to weather and they can’t get back stateside (maybe they know each other maybe they don’t), and because whatever city they’re in is a popular destination for New Years, hotels are limited and they end up in a one-bed situation trying to make the best of it and being stranded together in a new city on a new-slate/possibilities holiday

Ohhh I have an idea for a fic! It’s an AU so idk how we feel about this. But how about writer Sebastian wanting to get away from New York for a while to write his book. His college friend, Chris, who is an actor, has offered up his spare bedroom in his home in a small town right outside of Boston. The only thing Sebastian has to do is walk Dodger once in a while if Chris is off on set. They just…didn’t realize spending that much time together would impact them the way it does. Maybe Sebastian can’t go home for the holidays bc of snow and gets stuck there, ends up celebrating holidays with Chris’s family. Idk, so many options for all the fun holiday things

What if for some reason they are “forced” to act in one of those typical hallmark Christmas movies and the entire shooting is kind of a mess, things keep happening, and the only good thing is that they are working with each other? Or something like that. (Maybe this would work best it they aren't friends first??)

I like the snowed in/only one bed at the hotel idea - something seasonal, with snow or rain or other weather, but not necessarily *holiday*, perhaps?
