I dont understand why "fans" are being mean to Seb stan now that he declared himself a buckynat shipper on the radio host interview he just did. If people can have ships of fictional characters, so can he : (

honestly friend i agree, i don’t care what he says in this sort of context or what he ships, he’s a person we’re all people

people on this site like to put people on pedestals and assume people are perfect, and then the second a person does something that group disagrees with, no matter what it is, that person is officially scum. it’s a really hateful rhetoric that’s prevalent on this site, and it’s incredibly toxic.

like.  i don’t like that ship, personally. there are a lot of ships i don’t like. some are actually toxic and perpetuate terrible things, some i just don’t like. everyone has those ships. but in saying that, people on this site have done a lot of research and a lot of thinking about ships and what makes up a ship and the basis of ships. actors? have not, in most cases. how an actor sees a character in their mind’s eye is always gonna be different to how the fans see them. and fans, esp those on tumblr, have this massive fannon base, that the actors don’t have a clue exists. so that changes how they perceive characters compared to fans. which means how an actor sees a ship is gonna be vastly different to how an actor sees it, not even taking into account difference of opinion that will literally always happen between humans.

you can disagree with what he thinks, you can say politely that you disagree, you can do w/e, even though as a general rule i think pushing topics about shipping onto actors is a kinda gross thing to do in general ngl but that’s my opinion

tldr: i agree, people attacking a guy they supposedly love just for liking a ship? gross. people disagreeing with him respectfully? a-okay
