Answered one of those youtube mini survey things anddd

I just realized that Twitch > youtube clip channels has basically democratised* the process of making a youtube video. Streamers basically do the filming portion of the video, live on their channel, and clip channels take the content and edit it down to the funny parts and post them online.

Anyone with some editing software and too much time can just swoop in and edit, and entire ecosystem has been created. U have those clip channels which clip immediately after the stream, those channels which compile clips together and meme channels which make significant edits for memes.

*By that I mean for example in the past if you needed a hotel u'd go to a hotel with a big corporation, but now with airbnb anyone can come in and set up a hotel in their house without having to go through gatekeepers. Or a better example would be spotify, where you no longer need to impress record labels to make music, anyone can do it.
