I have the stupidest fucking yugioh/transformers crossover headcanon that basically answers the question why machine and robot cards exist when the cards were supposedly based on ancient egyptian otherworldy monsters. And it's like what if a bunch of cybertronians were stranded in anchient egypt for a while and the yugioh egyptions saw them fight their little alien war in the desert and were like " oh those new ones look rad and i want them in my deck" and just added the to their list of otherworldly monsters
