Learning that you don't actually have to interrogate every single emotion the moment it shows up
#my therapist: you're quite a self aware person but what can happen with self aware people is you look for a reason for everything bad
#and if you can't find a reason outside yourself sometimes you find a reason inside yourself (make it your fault)
#anyway realising that when i fell sad for a moment i can go “oh i feel sad for a moment:
#and not have to always dig into the endless but why do i feel sad
#it's helpful to a point. but sometimes you need to let it come and go without interrogating it
#is this what people mean when they say you have to feel your feelings???
#i am SUCH an intellectualiser
#which is maybe why ACT speaks to me more than CBT
