Some more of my Starscream and Ratchet friend AUs. TW Faking Death/Cybercrosis

After the war, Starscream is released from prison and virtually has no one (understandably) and Ratchet is also feeling lonely. Ratchet had been in love with Optimus for millions of years but now, realizes that the feelings aren't returned. He supports Optimus in his other relationships and in ruling Cybertron however, he distances himself from Opitmus following that. He and Optimus were together at a point, but they broke apart due to the war and Optimus's responsibilities as a prime. Ratchet also understands that Optimus's heart is somewhere else and not with him. He accepts it no matter how hard.

Eventually, Ratchet becomes kind of a hermit on Cybertron. He disconnects with many people close to him and goes to being a doctor that focuses on low income people and that is when he meets Starscream. Starscream was in prison for years and no one knew, and he was basically tortured and brutalized in prison. Long story short, Ratchet becomes his doctor and the two go from being cold to one another to depending on each other. Ratchet starts to open up about his old life with Starscream, talking about how he had a family and a daughter that Starscream reminds him of and that he wishes he had a family again. Starscream ends up telling Ratchet that they are each other's family.

Months go by and they get close, and Starscream gets better but things start to happen to Ratchet. He is slower, more tired, he can't get out of bed and this worries Starscream. He is diagnosed with Cybercrosis with no known cure. Ratchet accepts it, Starscream however doesn't. He tells Ratchet that they need to search for a cure, by this time Ratchet is ready to give up. He is happy with his life but there is a great sadness to him. He's ready to give up.

Except, Starscream won't let him. Starscream has a list of the shit he's been through, and he pulls a "if I can survive all of that, then I'm not gonna let some silly sickness kill you. We're leaving Cybertron, if not to find a cure then to live out the best years of your life. YOU need to live for yourself! Not Optimus, not Cybertron, YOU."

So he listens to Starscream, and the two embark on a journey. The journey leads them to Earth, where Ratchet is on his last leg. Starscream is at this point frantically thinking about who could make a cure and then, a miracle happens. Ratchet visits Raf's old house, which is torn down because to his knowledge, Raf isn't living anymore. But Raf went on to be a scientist who specialized in many different species diseases and cures. To Ratchet and Starscream's surprise, Raf found a cure for Cybercrosis after years ago he discovered Ratchet was pre-dispostioned to get it. Ratchet is able to take Raf's formula and he and Starscream make a cure. He is healed.

But Ratchet doesn't want to go back to Cybertron, he actually takes what Starscream said to heart about 'Living for himself" he asks Starscream to help him fake his death, which Starscream does. So the two eventually return to Cybertron, Starscream delivers the news. Everyone is heart broken, but now he has another friend with him. A happier, red and black Mech who is just happy to be alive and live life the way he wants. He keeps Starscream close, because Starscream aside from reminding him of his lost child is also the only one who cares about him and his happiness

Windblade: objectively a neat design but I hate how easily sexygirlified her 3rd party toys get which is of course no fault of hers but does color my opinion unforch

Soundwave: look this shouldn't come as a suprise to anyone everyone in the tf fandom wants to jump this guys bones I've thoight of nothing but es soundwaves snatched waist for 2 weeks. In the same line, blurr. Love that part where blurr gets crushed to death too chefs kiss

Starscream: I cannot legally speak about what I want done to this guy.

Prowl: he's the same kind of hot that Lught from death note is which is to say, radioactively so. But if we're not talking about the idw comics ver then yea sure platonic ideal good cop has kinda an appeal too I guess

Hey, so idk if I ever asked you this one, but here it goes. Aside from Ghidzilla, which Kaiju pairings do you enjoy the most? I personally have a soft spot for Mothdan, since it can operate on a similar wavelength to Ghidzilla as far as tropes and dynamics go, while also having it's own unique flare to it. I also think it would be very convenient for Mothra to wind up with Rodan while Goji and Ghidds are too busy dancing around each other.

You got me buddy with this question so I'll answer with much honesty and maybe a tid bit of saltiness.

Apart from the chokehold Ghidzilla had me in the last year, I don't really care about other ships. They are all beautiful and good in their own rights and merits.

Mothdan, Rodzilla, Mosudorah, even all 4\6 together can work for me. Ships are essentially tools to produce happy chemicals in the brain. Ship wars are the most utterly, senseless and harmful things ever invented.

Nobody should never harass someone cause they don't make the contents you(generic) want.

Now back to your question (and counting all I have seen during my almost 2 years in the godzilla fandom), I think it really depend by how you decide to characterize the characters.

Cause I have seen Rodan painted in many, many ways: as cruel as Ghidorah, meek and submissive, a total bitch, pathetic.

Some treats Rodan as he was the only "traitor", not like he basically bought time to Goji to come all his way from Antartica and almost beat Ghidorah. Starscream my a**!!!

And Mothra is Godzilla's gal. And other things, but mostly that. I wish I was oversimplifying (and maybe I'm, cause is like 3 a.m here, maybe my brain is on low battery)

Me being biased on the treatment of rodan and the m*th*illa ship and its effects on the fandom apart , as I said earlier is really up to you.

If Rodan feels guilty and seeks repentance, maybe he could go to Mothra, or maybe Mothra wants to make sure Rodan is not a danger and staying on the straight. Mybe Rodan is really preggo from the sting ( god this joke haunts me) and baby is on the way.

In account of my personal headcanons they would that couple:

Mothra: (tired but yet amused voice) You're an idiot.

Rodan( shit-eating grin on the face, wings wrapped around her) Sure, but I'm also your favorite idiot.

Something like that.

We're talking about characters that have been around more than 60 years and each time they have been different in a way.

Now go and make your own. Wear the costumes, pull the strings and tell your story!!

What if in your Maid AU, Bee decides instead of calling a therapist he ask Smockscreen to call Knock-Out and Breakdown over. Because the pair were and are still really close to Starscream and by extension Wheeljack.

The Decepticon couple would obviously have a clue what they pair are feeling given that they themselves have also been incarcerated in prison before Starscream help break them out.

Now they want to help Starscream and Wheeljack heal from the experience.

in my headcanons Breakdown and Knock Out have been through that system a bunch of times, so they think they can help ..!

what if Jack and Scream were specifically chosen to be made an example of what happens to you if you

1) fraternise with the enemy (Jack)

2) are Starscream (Starscream)

so they've been broken down everyday. in WJ's case he's been told nonstop how he got manipulated and nothing Scream might have told him was real - how he's the reason thousands would die, because of the secrets he shared, and the times he let screamer off the hook

and in Scream's case he's been told WJ was the spy all along, who pretended to be in love, and now all of scream's con friends will be found and executed because of starscream, et cetera et cetera

and then the big plan was: get them together again and watch them tear themselves apart and publicize that, proving that both of them were irredeemable.

that didn't happen though, they just pretty much broke down in each other's arms, after neither of them could get angry enough to do anything. - and since then nobody managed to separate them; prowl and (reluctantly) ultra magnus, the big brains behind this plan, finally gave up after that and threw them at Bee, sort of "we're done here, you deal with this"

and this is why they're now > extremely dependant on each other, freak out if they're separated even for a short while > extremely meek and obedient and happy to serve - and very happy about being together when they're alone with each other; they truly don't want any other life anymore, "just let us clean in peace- We're together and we don't want anything else" > ashamed that they both used to fight and scheme, they are completely convinced that its the source of all their problems ;_; > miko, now older, eventually visits and tries to get them to playfight with her, and they just cower in fear > "NO WE DONT DO THAT ANYMORE, MISS MIKO!!" SO...KOBD stumble upon this scene and have absolutely NO IDEA how to help. KO is an expert in physical torture, but not psychological, and Breakdown's solution is "having a drink with them and loosening them up" - which I imagine, won't go well X'D

cole would absolutely make fast firm friends with smokescreen. they both like going fast and being reckless but also trying to do the right thing and failing at it, and i can picture cole taking 1 ride in smokescreen's altmode and going "ok hell yeah i'm going to be doing this forever. what do we call this? joyriding? i'm in". he would probably get along with knock out for the same reason. cole knows how to keep his hands to himself so i imagine he'd be a pretty good passenger for a transformer to be honest. except when he puts his filthy boots up on the dash, which both k/o and smokescreen would shriek at him for

corvidan would like arcee i think. she probably rescues his dumb ass from a Situation and he has a moment where he's sitting on this motorcycle zooming along a highway and is like "wow this is like riding my dragon girlfriend except without the dragon. feeling kind of weird about this now actually. actually yeah psychologically impaired right now can i get off" and arcee pulls over and corv attempts to explain that it's not her, it's him, also he has a girlfriend. arcee is like "that's great but i'm into women. also i am a motorcycle. youre being extremely weird about this rescue. you are MAKING this rescue weird" and corv would be like hmm point taken. and then they would be awkward friends who complain about everyone else (cole, smokescreen, k/o) being reckless

turo would probably end up with the decepticons by accident. like, he's learning Alien Robot Mechabiology as fast as he can and accidentally gets really good at modding and one of the decepticons is like oh shit dangerous asset, we're kidnapping you. and it's an extremely dangerous line that he's walking because he does have the know-how to singlehandedly do another Fucked Up Zombie Breakdown War Crime situation and everyone sort of knows it and is unnerved by this weird human creature with no apparent moral boundaries so they keep him on a tight leash. he falls in with shockwave and helps him around the lab. meanwhile, soundwave inexplicably is fascinated by him. turo is putting out radiation you've never heard of. soundwave would love to know why. also he seems kind of morally batshit which soundwave seems to think is extremely amusing for some reason, though it is annoying when turo accidentally commits yet another scientific war crime against robotkind every other week

kincaid falls in with knock out for SURE. he just thinks knock out is extremely funny. knock out probably hates him. knock out stops paying attention for half a second and this human shaped bitch is lounging languidly on his shoulder or sprawled on his head or sitting pretty on a wing door. knock out cannot get rid of him because he's too fast to smack away and kincaid thinks knock out is a prime source of entertainment so he won't leave him alone. Tiny Vampire Bullies The Shit Out Of Giant Robot. i think they eventually learn to coexist though. catch knock out and kincaid eventually begrudgingly getting along and muttering to each other and then looking directly at you like girls at a party who you KNOW were just talking about you

meuric is the starscream to geel's megatron. but they don't get along. meuric hates starscream and starscream hates meuric. this is because deep down meuric was a good person once and he sees what starscream became and it feels like a mirror and that is maybe the Worst. anything else about meuric depends on what prince geel does, because he's fiercely loyal

including bug this time because i've been thinking about them a lot lately! bug joins up with the decepticons and hangs out on the ship doing cleaning, living in the walls like some kind of benevolent cockroach. the decepticons have tried to get rid of them like eight times and they just keep surviving. eventually someone realised they're actually sentient, and going around mopping the ceilings and checking the ventilation and wiring is all up to standard, so they get left alone after that. amazing the kind of intel you can pick up when you pretend to be a janitor. and then when shit goes sideways, bug abandons ship and goes straight to the autobots and dumps months' worth of intelligence on them all. bug in every setting is that one janitor that listens to everything and then defects and it'd be no different here
