very satisfying for once having a part book for a musical that not only allows but encourages you to mark it up however you damn please. i'm coloring in this bitch with highlighters like a five year old

#sasha speaks #oboeposting #basically every other musical i've played in the past has been precious about 'only lightly marking with pencil' bc they're rentals #and you're supposed to return them after you use them. and they make some poor SM or whoever erase all your notes when the show is done #but like...the books get so beat up to hell anyway i can't imagine WANTING to reuse them after that point #so concord theatricals has apparently decided to say fuck it. mark your books however you want #cause they'll just destroy the copies when they get returned anyway instead of posturing about reusing them #good for us tbh. you have to mark SO much in a pit book it's way easier to scribble with reckless abandon than to be delicate with it #in the past i used colored sticky note tabs to mark cues and instrument changes etc and it's a pain to go thru and remove them all later #so. very glad i can just take a highlighter to the bitches now
