The Final Five (Gerard x Reader) Part One
Pairing: Gerard Way x Reader
Word Count: 2095
Summary: You wake up in a cell, no idea where you are. You’re suddenly introduced to a whole world of alien creatures, who wiped out the entire human race except you and four others. The five of you are supposed to help alien race with something big, just not sure how.
Author’s Note: Well uh, this is my first ever thing. I suck at summaries but I think the story is okay. It’s based off of a post on Instagram I saw. Well um, there’s going to be more of these, as you can tell. I hope you enjoy, I liked writing this story! Also, this is not how my other stories are going to be. I just though I should start out with a story that I’d love to add a bunch of parts to. So you know, try to enjoy. For me. Love you.
You quiver, biting your lip and clenching your fists, trying to inflict any sort of pain upon yourself to distract from the current situation. Alone, in this brightly-lit room, with no furniture than a metal bench jutting out from one side of the wall. The walls of the metal room were short and the room itself could probably fit only a handful of people. Face it: it wasn’t a room, it was a jail cell. A cold, empty, bright jail cell.
How’d you get here? It was unclear. All you knew was that you were taken from some place, some place that you just can’t put my mind to, where there was nothing. A vast expanse of absolutely nothing. Where the the air was heavy and humid, the sky always a dull gray contrasting against the bright, dusty ground. Just thinking about it dried your throat.
And now, here you were. Taken from a foggy place in your memory and placed in this very vivid memory. For so long, it felt like you were here forever, or it was just the ache in your stomach and the dry patch on your tongue.
Suddenly, something happened. You weren’t sure what, what was different? But something just happened. Something just shifted. That’s when it happened. A slice of the wall opposite of you opened up to reveal dark, empty hallway.
Well, empty at first.
It was a human. It looked like a human, walked like a human, but as they stepped into the light, you could tell it wasn’t human.
With a human shape, two arms, two legs, a torso and head, it seemed familiar. But the violet skin, dark purple hair and matching eyes proved differently. Dressed in tight black pants, with a matching, skin-tight black long-sleeved shirt, the creature- the female creature- looked down at you, flashing their silvery badge on their chest. It depicted a creature you couldn’t determine, with spelling that was foreign to you. It surprised the hell out of you when this undeterminable creature started to speak English.
“Hello.” The voice was high-pitched but smooth. She seemed like she knew what she was doing.
“H-Hello.” You stuttered back, looking up to match her dark eyes.
“You have been one of the five humans on Earth to be saved. You have been saved for a purpose. Our elders have told us that the five of you contain the key to ultimate power.” She continued, blinking slowly at you.
What the hell? This is a dream. This is a fucking dream, this is one of those fucking horror movies you refused to watch, this isn’t real, this isn’t real. You snapped your eyes shut and prayed.
“Do not be afraid. We are not here to hurt you.” You opened your eyes and looked at the creature, who leaned down to look at you with a smile. “Are you okay? Sorry if we scared you.”
This is when it seemed as if she went off-script. She started to seem genuine, like a person back where you came from. Where are you?
“I’m Lola.” She said softly. “We don’t know your name, yet. But we’d like to. We have a lot of questions to ask you, and we imagine you have some of your own. Would you like to follow me?” Lola continued.
Lola was a human name. Understanding, curiosity, and kindness were human things. All of this depicted by something that clearly wasn’t human. But she seemed so nice, and genuine. She was a relief.
You watched as she held out a purple hand. Carefully, you reached for it, and the moment your skin met, you were alarmed at the heat radiating and pulled back. She laughed. “Oh sorry, I forgot about you humans and their cold body temperatures. It’s okay, I’m just a bit warmer than you.”
You reached for her hand again, and grabbed it as she pulled you up from the cold, metal ground. Her hand was as warm as a stone next to a campfire, hot to the touch at first, but you could get used to the comforting warmth.
She dropped your hand and lead you down the empty hallway. “I’m gonna take you to the place where it all happens.” She smiles. You smile back nervously.
“It’s where all the leaders are. They’re really curious about you and the other four we saved from the wreckage.” She explained, unlocking the door.
“What wreckage?” You ask as you search your clouded memory.
Lola looks back at you, between strands of her purple hair. “You don’t remember?” She asks.
You shake your head and Lola looks at the ground before opening the door. “Well, they’ll tell you. You deserve to know.” And it was the end of that conversation, for Lola took your hand- you recoiled at the touch at first, still getting used to it- and brought you into the hallway. “We’re sorry we had to keep you in the prison floor, we had a couple other of the saved be very aggressive. Makes sense, I guess. I mean, considering what just happened. We just want you to be safe.” She explained, leading you down the empty hallway.
The hallway looked like your cell- metal walls, a cool air. There were doors down the entire hallway, each with it’s own diverse set of locks and a label on the door. You tried to read the names, but Lola pulled you on.
Approaching the end of the hallway, Lola lead you to the double doors, and reached for an identity card at her hip and flashed it at the scanner next to them. “We’re going to take the elevator up to the top floor.” She explained.
You two got into the elevator and silently rode upwards, as you pondered what exactly was happening. You were too numb to lash out, of provoke anything. All you could do at the moment was do exactly what they, whoever they were, wanted.
The doors opened to expose you to a hot, busy, bumbling hallway. It was filled with creature like Lola, each with a different shade of pastel skin and darker hair and eyes. They all had on the black outfits with the badges, some of them male, some of them female, some in between. Everyone was talking in a mix of English and something foreign, which all stopped when Lola lead you out of the elevator doors.
They all dropped their conversations to look at you. Lola tightened her grip on your hand and wrapped an arm around your shoulders as she ushered you down the hallway, past gaping mouths and wide eyes. “That’s one of them, that’s the last one,” You hear one whisper in English. You ignored it as Lola pushed you inside the last door in the hallway.
It slammed behind you, locking you and Lola in a cramped space, a metal box with a door on one side and a place for Lola to flash her card again. She did so, and lead you through the door to an office.
It was different than the other rooms. It had a wood floor and wall paper on the sides of the rectangle room. There was a rug, and a wooden desk with a swivel chair, which sat a man. He had broad shoulders, and a snug business suit. He had light green skin, combed back dark green hair and matching eyes. He was talking with a woman with light blue skin, dressed in a pencil skirt and white button up shirt. They were both wildly pointing at papers the woman was holding before the two of you walked in and they both abruptly stopped.
“Lola,” The man said in a deep voice, smiling at her. “And our very last of the saved. Julia, could you please close the door behind you?” He asked, his eyes not leaving you.
The other woman rushed out the door behind the two of you, leaving you and Lola alone with this terrifying business creature.
“Here, sit down.” He said, gesturing to the two wooden chairs in front of the desk. You sat down after Lola, looking around the office filled with framed paintings on the walls. The paintings were of nothing specific. Just splashes of color over the canvas.
“Now, I understand you must be confused. I hope Lola made you feel comfortable.” He said, smiling. “I am Jacob, but you may call me Mr. Hamilton, you understand?” He asks.
I look at him, this creature, eyes wide, before slowly moving my head.
“Now, so we can all have a nice name for each other,” He says, leaning back in his chair like the most normal thing in the world, “What’s yours?”
You gulp before you choke out, “Y/N L/N.”
He smiles. “Gorgeous. Pleasure to meet you, Ms. L/N.” He nods.
You plaster on a fake smile, trying to fit in. He acts so comforting, so friendly, but the air around him is anything but that.
“So, has Lola told you anything about what happened?” He asks. When you shake your head, he immediately launches into a full history lesson.
It spans an hour and your brain is filled with so much information you can’t deal. But you have a clear perspective of what exactly happened. 100 years ago, in 1917, this organization was built by two stray (“aliens of sorts, is what you humans call them,”) creatures left behind one of the universe’s many alien communities. The two bound together and created a government for the unlistening and violent groups, known as the TPO, The Peace Organization. They took control over most of the communities, implementing strict new rules that have ever since kept them in line. But five years ago, the two founders died, their lasting legacy being sheets of paper drawn out by the two of them, with instructions. Wipe out the planet earth, but keep five of it’s occupants alive- you and four other unsuspecting individuals. The ten of you were supposed to help them gain control over the stray communities that TPO couldn’t gain control over, and they expected you to do that. NOW.
And now you were heading to meet the nine others, your head brimming with information, almost to the brink of not being able to function. But you pushed through it as Lola lead you back through the hallway, down the hallway of stares, and back into the elevator to the bottom floor, where you were greeted by a refreshing blast of cool air.
The bottom floor was different than the other floor. There was no hallway, just a large expanse of room filled with tables and couches and plush chairs, the very end of the huge room had ten doors spanning from one wall to the other. And there were people and creatures combined sitting at the tables. Four humans, four creatures.
Everyone turned to you, their eyes wide. You glanced over them, grateful to see another actual human face, human eyes. But you barely had time because Mr. Hamilton appeared out of nowhere behind you, smiling. “Everybody up, line up at the end of the wall, please.” He boomed, resting a hand on his hip as the creatures pulled up the humans and lead them to the wall. Lola murmured, “These are the other four,” as she brought you over to the rest of them. Mr. Hamilton walked past the five of you, looking you all up and down, before announcing. “Say your name, please.”
He pointed to the first person, who was a tall woman, with wide eyes and long blonde hair. She had curves in the right places and the hospital gown I just now realized we were all wearing managed to show them off.
“Amy, Amy Watson.” She gulped.
It moved on to the others.
A short guy with black hair and hazel skin. “Drew Huntington.”
A tiny girl, couldn’t be more than 13, with thin brown hair and matching eyes. “Peggy Anderson.”
And then it was the guy next to you, with hazel eyes and a shock of unnatural bright red hair. “Gerard Way.” He said proudly, his eyes pouring into those of Mr. Hamilton’s. He was daring him.
You found yourself looking into those eyes of Gerard Way’s, the glint of rebellion that was in them, so much so that you forgot to say you name. Gerard turned to you, and your eyes met, and you felt an energy pulse through your veins as you stuttered, “Y/N L/N.”
Gerard’s eyes poured through you.
