#i've cleaned it multiple times and replaced everything that was in the cabinet at the time

After a week of ants taking over every surface and cabinet interior; after ruthlessly cleaning and setting traps and spraying the yard; after multiple trips to the hardware store to get more supplies in what feels like a never ending war, I've finally reached the point where there's only a few ants at a time. Which means I can finally start cleaning everything that was a casualty this week (so much soapy water and essential oils sprayed on every surface...).

Dishes have been done, counters have had their first wipe down, new bait traps set up to replace the depleted ones, and I've started tossing out contaminated food. Things are finally starting to look better.

And then the fleas showed up. It might be best to just burn everything.

#i am of course joking though sometimes it doesn't feel like it #we went four years without a flea problem so of course this year they'd show up #i managed to find some old flea control and half the cats are now treated #the other half will probably get done this weekend since i had to order more #and everyone is getting another dose of capstar tonight so that should help #I've also set up flea traps around the house though my ankles seem to be the best traps ever
