#i'm just tired of the jn hegemony in the fandom

Ugh I'm becoming josh nekuphobic again. Don't read further if you don't want negative stuff on this ship. Nothing too violent, you guys know me, but I really need to get my frustrations out of my system.

Don't get me wrong, I love the two. They are such interesting characters, they have such an interesting dynamic and they have such a big impact on eachother, I mean they each gave their life for the other at some point, that's some next level shit. But.

Twewy isn't only about them. And the problem is that when in the fandom, it sure as hell feel like it is.

There's so much stuff that is being ignored and thrown under the rug because people are convinced that Joshua and Neku are the only ones worthy of their attention. The Josh neku tag on AO3 is almost at 700, when the Neshiki one struggles to get more than 280 and the Beatneku one has less than 150.

Do you see what I mean?

It's extremely discouraging, for someone who loves to talk about twewy as a whole, and to explore different views and interpretations, to give more details, nuances, to compare visions and experiences, to be put in front of such an insurmountable wall that people keep building without a care for anything around them. No matter what you do, people will only be interested by those two, together, in a romantic relationship.

I'm tired of that.

Diversity is what makes the world better, but how long can I fight for that diversity to shine, when people don't spare a glance for it? My favourite ship has exactly one (1) work on AO3. It's mine. It's not even finished. And this... really doesn't give me much energy to finish it.

I really wish people would appreciate twewy for everything it holds and not simply for two of the main characters. I think... I think that would be pretty cool.
