anthy and touga like probably hate each other like fr fr but i cannot stop thinking about all the awkward and intense interactions they MUST have had whenever akio would call touga over to the tower. The way that both of them probably feel like they have some sort of "im closer to him/ i know whats going on more/ i have more power than you" advantage over the other. Passing by each other on touga's way out with the iciest glares of all time. uaghhgh

#I think touga does realize he's being used by akio but he's somewhat apathetic to that #thinking he can make it work and get ahead in this system anyways #but i can see him underestimating anthy's role in his potential downfall #particularly in the same way i think he KNOWS that anthy ultimately acts in accordance with akio's wishes rather than that of the duelists #but i do think he genuinely believe's he's akio's right-hand man #and so if he takes anthy he ultimately WOULD have control over her #which is true to the same extent that its true for the other duelists. but only to that extent #i think its its own form of naivety that anthy would hate... that he is aware enough to know he shouldn't be an exception #and yet takes himself as such #and uses that to excuse attempting to hurt and control her despite KNOWING she isn't just an empty shell #like picking apart what he said to her in the first arc about keeping her in her cage forever #he knows better than anyone what the shape of that cage looks like #and yet he still says All That #just bc he thinks acting akio's role will actually put him closer to power #take a closer look at your surroundings asshole! you're in your own cage!!!! #touga kiryuu #anthy himemiya #rgu
