i’m reading a book set in a christian school in a very christian town and it’s not bad but it’s kind of obvious that the author isn’t all that familiar with christian culture

#one of the characters is complaining about bible classes and she's like ''all we talk about is how you shouldn't be gay #''--or have premarital sex'' #like . i hate to break it to you . but christians do ... talk about other things #they don't just spend all their time talking about how much they it when sex is between a married man and woman #they've got an entire 2000+ page book to study dude. #the author also wrote rwrb i think which i've heard mixed opinions about? #i know it was popular on tiktok for a while so that doesn't bode particularly well #this book is alright though. the core cast is good and the mystery element is intriguing #although i'm almost done with it and the way the ending is going so far it feels kind of underwhelming #idk. POINT BEING christians' worlds do not revolve around hating gay people. sorry. #.txt
