TK brought home tacos from their favorite food truck that’s close to their loft. Tacos were a comfort food to Carlos, and comfort food was exactly what Carlos needed tonight. Carlos loved cooking, but he’d really fallen out of it lately, so they’ve been relying on take-out when TK worked long shifts, eating at the firehouse, or TK cooking on his days off. TK could cook but he wasn’t anywhere near as good at it as Carlos or Paul was. They were both exhausted today, so tacos it was.

“Hi, Baby, I brought tacos,” TK set his keys down and greeted his husband.

“Oh, good, I’m starving,” Carlos responded flatly.

“Did you eat at all today?”

Carlos looked down at the floor, “No… But I did shower and nap a little, without a nightmare, I’d say that’s progress.”

TK gave him a tight hug, “That’s amazing, babe. Small steps, remember.” He kissed Carlos and ran his fingers through his hair. “I’m proud of you every day. Let’s eat.”
