Oh-- Had he caught the other guard with that sudden compliment? Seemed like it, even if the other man didn't let onto it all that much. Regardless though, the realization had a bit of amusement bubble up within Minato's chest. He held off on letting out that itching chuckle, though-- Instead only letting the feeling show via a slightly more noticeable smirk.

And though he didn't bother with a proper reply toward the other's own compliment, Minato did still acknowledge it by giving a soft hum. However, he did speak up at the other's next statement. "Ah? A host, huh--" Well, that checked out based on this guy's looks. "I bet that can be a headache sometimes." Finally, he laughed a little with that.

It was somewhat a comment from experience, given the time Minato himself worked with the other staff at a favorite bar of his… Short as that employment was. Though, even then-- That was probably a fair bit different from what this guy was talking about.

"Tonight go over any good?" Deciding that he felt sociable enough for at least a little small talk, Minato went ahead with a more clear cut question this time… Whilst one hand slipped into his jacket pocket, pulling out the cigarette pack and lighter from within, before soon tucking one of the slim sticks between his lips.
