🙏 Is your OC religious in any way? Why or why not? Do they have other beliefs that govern them in any way?

Alex isn't all that religious, though the town he used to come from before he became an Aetherian was quite religious! Though like the Aetherians, they fell out of favour with religion after the circumstances they had all been through, and became more logically driven instead.

That being said, they do believe in the concept of open skies accepting all, as it was the only place they could run to after the surface races of Tyria stopped accepting them. And after the incident with Balthazar, Alex firmly decided to not believe in gods ever again, he prefers to grasp the future with his own hands.

🤕 What is the worst injury your OC has ever suffered? Do they have any scars or lasting physical reminders of it? Do they get sick often or have any lasting medical conditions?

His worst injury was to his body and his heart when he lost Trahearne. The trigger incident being an experiment that his people were running on trying to generate enough magic to Overload an Elder Dragon. Alex volunteered as the test subject, but it backfired when his body couldn't contain it and it exploded out instead.

Alex has faint scars on his body that kind of look like lightning/wavy lines like the leyline magic does. It serves as a reminder of his mistake, inexperience and past arrogance as a young man. They're most prominent on his arms and sometimes glow when he channels magic! (Which is why he's usually in long sleeves, even in the desert.) Alex does get sick sometimes but he likes to power through it because he's a workaholic. The world and disasters don't wait for a sick scholar, so he says.

🍵 Are there any rumours about your OC hanging around? Nasty ones or just good humoured? Got any gossip to share about them?

There are a few many rumours about him going around, especially since he doesn't seem to tell people about what he's up to! Most notably the rumour mill really began spinning when he officially left the Pact and basically went missing during Icebrood Saga, only really returning at the end to provide major firepower.

Amongst the Priory, there's rumours he read all the books in the span of a few weeks, which is not entirely untrue. The more harmless ones include things like his age and true strength. The more nasty ones are more akin to if he's going to betray Tyria and rule the world with his power, or if he's just Aurene's minion. Or if he's going to explode from all the magic. (To which he snarks, he's no one's minion or champion. Not anymore.)
