Jordan heard the ruckus almost from the other side of the stadium, and realized it was one of those days again. He knew Trent and Andy were very close friends, but every once in a while they could have a real go at each other. And with Liverpool losing today's match and an overall below par performance, tensions apparently ran high between the two backs. When Jordan came into the dressing room after the match, he found Andy and Trent standing face-to-face, a few feet apart, angrily yelling all kinds of insults at each other. Jordan watched his teammates' outbursts for a few moments, but when Andy suddenly shoved Trent back and Trent looked ready to answer with some physical violence as well, Jordan had had enough. "Stop it." He didn't even have to raise his voice. There was so much authority dripping from his tone and posture, that the entire dressing room immediately fell silent and all eyes were suddenly on the captain. "But..." Trent started to protest after a few moments, but was silenced by one motion of Jordan's hand. The captain looked sternly from Trent to Andy. "Frustrations are okay, but don't go taking them out on each other," Jordan started, "you know I don't accept that kind of behavior." Andy took a breath as if to say something, but he, too, was silenced by one motion of Jordan's hand. "Quite frankly, I don't care what you have to say," Jordan continued, "I just want this over with. Make amends or don't talk to each other for two days, I don't care. Just resolve this." Andy and Trent nodded timidly. When Jordan spoke like this, they knew they had gone way over the line. "I'm sorry," Trent said softly to both Andy and Jordan, "I was out of line." "So was I." Andy shook his head, lightly resting a hand on Trent's shoulder. "And my apologies to you, too, skip." "Good." Jordan concluded. His tone lightened as he saw his two teammates and friends calming down. He chuckled before he spoke again. "And now never do that again, please."
