It still blows my mind that Redbone released a double album as their debut album. And I still don't know why they did...or, maybe I should say, why they were 'allowed' to (by their record company). I mean, I hope it'd be because the album is fucking awesome and the whole thing deserves to be heard by everyone at least once. I'm just curious if there were other factors that led to that happening, though. And finding any sort of historical context about Redbone pre-Wovoka (1973) online is pretty much none, aside from some history of how the band formed.
