do people who have listened to taz balance but not graduation Know that it was HEAVILY IMPLIED that lup and barry eventually adopted a lil sorcerer child who got disowned by his family for his natural necromancy magic, and they taught him how to use his powers for good and were overall great parents that he looks back on fondly
(and said child grew up to be a dimension-hopping lich, caretaker of the dead, and very sweet adoptive father of a major npc)

Info dump about Dia because our session was canceled this week I’m in a D&D mood
Her full name is Lady Diamante Elizabeth Pasaer
but she prefers Dia or Monty
or DeeDee if you’re Eve(Our half-giant fighter)
She’s a Tiefling Life Cleric devoted to the Raven Queen
Born to a pair of powerful Necromancers, Diamante grew up in the town a Farith.
Her parents were emotionally abusive and she’d rather not remember them
Her first handful of years were spent attending large parties with her parents, paraded around like a well loved small dog.
When she got too big to be a fashionable accessory, Diamante was left at home.
She spent this time getting acquainted with the mansion. She knew every nook and cranny, every secret passage, ever place that only a child could find.
Diamante got rather good at hiding and would spend days at a time holed up with nothing but a book and a blanket, only leaving to sneak food and drink from the kitchen.
Her parents never caught her, though she suspects it was from a lack of trying rather than her own skill.
She felt like a prisoner in her own home, but at the same time she rather enjoyed faux freedom. Sure she couldn’t leave the house, but with a library as big as hers did she really need to?
At the age of fourteen everything changed. She would have been comfortable hiding the rest of her life but apparently fate had other plans. Her parent’s necromancy finally caught up to them and a band of Raven Queen worshipers had come to fulfill their lady’s will. Outnumbered and out powered, Lord and Lady Pasaer‘s deaths were swift.
While Diamante had not seen her parents die, she certainly heard it. Taking only the clothes on her back she slipped from her hiding place and tried to sneak out.
Unsurprisingly she  was caught by a Paladin named Brom Silverhand.
He should have killed her right then and there, but the fear in Dia’s eyes brought pity to his heart.
“Death or penance?” he had asked
as if there was any choice to make
The move from her home to the temple didn’t bother Diamante all that much. The dark decor induced comfort rather than fear and she had long since mastered the art of sitting perfectly still for hours on end. She took to the temple life like a fish to water.
Of course it wasn’t a perfect shirt from mansion to temple.
There was still an underlying distrust of the girl, especially from her savior who drilled the Raven Queen’s teachings into her as if she were his own.
While it was obvious that Diamante didn’t know any magic, she did have quite a bit of Necromantic knowledge. This unnerved many of the clergy members and it took a while for anyone to warm up to her.
While Diamante would never regret her choice, she was constantly reminded of it.
“Remember your penance” Brom would scold as he caught her trying to steal from the kitchen.
Penance she would remind herself as she prayed, her knees digging painfully into the stone.
Penance child she would hear as she drifted off to sleep and dreamed of blood and feathers.
Eventually she grew restless in the temple and expressed her wish to travel to her adopted father. Brom recommended that she travel to the city of Farpoint and join the militia.
He reasoned that serving a specific cause might help Diamante find her purpose and besides, a military can never have enough healers.
So to Farpoint she went, unsure of what to expect but excited all the same.
Although she seems friendly enough, Diamante is pretty wary of most everyone she meets.
If she's shown that the one in question isn't an immediate threat, however, she'll ease up a bit.
Although she's not a habitual liar , you can believe she won't be spilling all her secrets to just anyone unless she feels it's absolutely necessary-or, unless she comes to trust someone else enough to share information about herself with.
If approached with the intent to converse, however, she won't immediately deny.
Infact she rather enjoys a bit of good conversation, she just doesn't enjoy nosy people.
Despite her wariness, Diamante still has a fun side, though she shows it subtly.
She is prone to making sly jokes and sometimes even silly puns, though both are used mostly to goad others on, or tease them playfully.
There’s also nothing stopping her from being snide when she disapproves of any ideas or actions.
She has fondness for creature comforts, especially a good meal.
The quickest way to earn her affection is to offer up a fresh plate of food.
She envisions herself a bit of a connoisseur and enjoys trying local delicacies.
Low and smooth, Diamante's voice resounds with great confidence and authority.
With a more varied vocabulary, she thinks before she speaks, and chooses every one of her words carefully.
Despite this, the cleric uses very casual language in any conversation, unless she has some sort of desired outcome in mind.
She's also highly unlikely to swear, but sometimes a little something or other might slip out
In addition, she doesn't often use her big voice, unless addressing a large group. Otherwise, she is usually rather quiet.
She prefers to let others do the talking, but won't hesitate to speak up if she believes she has something important to say.
Has a strength of 15 and a Dex of 6
Its a joke in our group that she’s always tripping over her tail
Is stressed 24/7 because the party won’t stop fuckin dying
Has threatened to put them all on leashes multiple times
Speaking of the party:
There’s Eve, darling Eve. She’s our half giant fighter and an all around angel.  Dia is very protective.
You touch her and you die
Next is Alycon aka “Unlucky Allie” who is our elven monk who can’t roll above a 10. He really should be dead by now, but he isn’t. He took a level in cleric last session and I’m really excited for him and Dia to be cleric buddies
We’ve also got a half-elf warlock named Rebecca. Very mysterious, we don’t really know a lot about her at this time.
Finally we’ve got Lily our goblin druid, who has only actually been in one session because her player can’t seem to keep a character for more than three sessions.
Seriously, where do they all go?
v tall, the tallest in our party besides Eve
also very self conscious of her infernal heritage
Seriously don’t bring it up
Recently took an apprenticeship with the local alchemist, who is very very old and very very blind
He’s also convinced she can’t read
Also made friends with an imp we call Georgie
Knows 6 languages and is very proud
Doesn’t know elven though so Allie and Rebecca shit talk her behind her back
its very rude
She’s demisexual but romance isn’t really on her radar right now
