Reasons for Link(s) To Be A Yandere
In Relation to this request I did (rather the reblog reblog)
Link is hard to pinpoint since he's a vessel for the player. Headcanons Based on the game's worldbuilding/lore, a bit of their mangas and very much lotsa imagination from my side.
(Romantic)
SS! Link: His constant worry for Zelda's safety, unknown of Hyrule below, too naive, seems like a good boy, unexperienced, someone who might long for ACTUAL connection since Fi is a bit too much beep boop master linkkkk
OoT! Link: Very much naive and still childlike when sent into the future, confused by all that is happening and needs an anker of reality (maybe even an escape to simpler, childish times since he doesn't want to face all the actual real horrors, daydreams a lot), BEARS THE BURDEN OF THE WOOORLD, wishes for some kind of positivity/sunshine, you might think he is weird for his age, protective since he doesn't know what this future has in store for him, ALL THAT HE KNEW AND CHERISHED IS GONE NOW
TP! Link: GUY GOT TURNED INTO A WOLF, IMAGINE JUST; YOUR ENTIRE LIFE IS UPSIDE DOWN FROM HUMAN TO BEAST ALL THAT YOU KNOW WILL NEVER BE THE SAME AGAIN YOU HAVE TO GET USED TO LIVING THE REST OF YOUR LIFE AS SOMETHING ELSE AND THEN YOU DIE
THE PEOPLE YOU KNOW, YOUR FRIENDS, YOUR FAMILY DON'T KNOW WHO YOU ARE, THEY FEAR YOU AND PRBLY THINK YOU ARE DEAD OR WENT MISSING. AND ON TOP OF THAT YOU ARE EXPECTED TO SAVE THE WORLD
ITS A LOT OF STRESS.
Maybe naive, aware of his strength and ready to protect others, courageous to the point nothing will stop him, maybe bit of a Country pumpkin, soft, so soft he holds animals like babies, internally frustrated and scared? Unsure? NeedING COMFORT AND ASSURANCE? ONLY HAS A FEW LOVED ONES. Needs acceptance.
BotW! Link: My man has SO MUCH LORE. Survivor's guilt? Amnesia? Unsure if he remembers everything correctly? NOT SURE IF HE STILL FEELS THE SAME AFTER LEARNING ABOUT HIS PASSED LOVED ONES? Unexperienced and curious, open and lets himself be amazed by the world, letting all the pain that he doesn't even remember (YET) go and just live the life he couldn't have? A part of him not wanting to go through everything all over again after finding out the truth? Doubting his abilities and believing he'll fail again? Slowly becoming his old, stoic, mute and emotionally closed off self through time? Yes to all the above.
Also talks more at the beginning, eats a lot, happy to help and learn new things. Tries to distract himself from reality.
(Platonic)
LA! Link: You're probly in the island too, just as his imagonation however. A memory of a friend he knows and missed? Cannot EVER see again? Well, you are here, in this mystical, fun island. He can be here with you. Indulges in the dream and pretends its the life he wanted to have with you. Friend, best friend, sibling, whatever, it's you and him now forever. No destiny or Calamity can keep you apart when he is dreaming. Will not listen to the owl. He was forced to grow up when defeating evil but here he can indulge in whimsical, childish games. Fishing, stomping on weird creatures (he finds them funny and names them goombas!) Getting all kinds of funny knick-knacks...all with you. Might shape the dream you to make you into the 'you' he remembers, or worse, desires.
FS! Link: uh-oh four Links is double the trouble. Something might have happened during the Split and each of Link's best and worst characteristics show. Your friend gets agGreSSiVe then overprotective, cheery and kind and then clingy and emotional. Smart and giving advice only to be possesive the next. He struggles to maintain his emotions/doppelgangers and it makes it even worse when he tries to hide his true feelings from you. Each Clone might just spit out a thought/opinion they have of you without thinking that has been residing in Link's heart forever. Each get jealous on who gets to spend more time with you (although they're the same person).
MM! Link: Has the wits and maturity of a grown-up and finds it hard to let himself indulge in anything. Lonely since no one understands him and kids 'his age' are too immature for him so he can't find any friends, any connections. Has immense feeling of duty and responsibility that HE is the hero of everything and everyone. When a Problem arrives, HE must solve it. HE must endanger his life to save others. You must be special to have any connection with him. Longs for a normal life but thats not possible anymore. Zelda unwittingly gave him another terrible fate.

I don't get the scenarios, a teen sealand is not going to be allowed into a bar so he can't help him from there and him Arthur is drunk at home he won't have to carry him, but I also do think Arthur does not get around his children or child family member, since he has a reputation to upload and such
In England you can enter a pub alone at 16, but you can't buy any alcohol. (You can buy food and stuff, though.) Below 16 and you need an adult to accompany you inside. 18 is their legal drinking age. c: I had two scenarios I was imagining:
1. It's 3:30 am. There's three-way phone call between Wales, Northern Ireland, and Scotland. Arthur's been out drinking, doesnt have money for a cab, and needs someone to help him get home. He originally called Wales for help, and Wales promised he'd be there soon. But he definitely isn't - it's someone else's turn this time. The three brothers try to shirk the responsibility off on each other before remembering (teen) Peter. He lives the closest to Arthur and is less irritated by England than the others, having reconciled with him and all that, so Scotland adds him to the call. The micronation answers the phone, and hears them bickering, only for a very irritated Scots dialect to cut through it. "Peter! Thon big brother o yours is fuckin hammerit, ye're gaun'ae have tae gae get him. The fuckin idiot stayit oot until last call an now he canae tell his head from his arse." Peter begrudgingly agrees, and gets out of bed to go help the poor bastard. Arthur is indignant when his youngest kin shows up to help, and gets belligerent as he tries to refuse. But he's so uncoordinated that he can barely stand, so he just goes on an incoherent rant while Peter nonchalantly carries him home.
2. Peter is 18, or thereabouts, and asks to take Arthur out for drinks. Arthur has been shown to be pretty arrogant and overestimates his own limits. When he drinks with Alfred in episode 26, he gets super drunk compared to Alfred, who tells the bartender he "always gets like this when he starts drinking." So it's implied he's actually kind of a lightweight. Arthur certainly thinks he isn't, though, because he follows it up by saying, "I'm the United bloody Kingdom, I can hold my liquor better than you any day!" Maybe when he was younger he was more of a heavyweight; I'd expect he drank a lot more during his pirate years and had a higher tolerance. And he can't let go of that pride, so he just assumes he can handle more booze than he actually can, lol. Peter, being a rambunctious teenage boy, has nicked some gin here and there, and already has a decent amount of experience drinking, even though he was previously "underage." (He justified it by pointing out that he's eighty.) Like his brother, Peter is a total lightweight, but he's honest with himself. He knows his own limits and paces his drinking. So when Arthur overestimates his own abilities and gets hammered, Peter is able to sober up enough to take him home.
Arthur's wiki page says that he gets nostalgic when drunk, then pretends nothing happened the next morning. Any damage to his reputation by being drunk in public, he probably just ignores. Deny deny deny lmao.
I agree that he probably wouldn't drink around a child. But (teen) Peter is on the older spectrum of adolescence, in his late teens, which has been considered "a man" for most of human history. For most of Arthur's history, certainly. For coming of age stories, I feel like the fixation on the legal age of majority does a disservice. (Teen) Peter is in that fuzzy area where he's definitely not a child, but he's still learning to become an adult. Exploring the world, learning how to function and cope as a nation, and looking to his older brother to help guide him through it. Because, under all the "emotional constipation" as my friend puts it, Arthur loves his little brother - and because having someone to instruct gives him an ego boost - Arthur likes teaching Peter stuff and helping him navigate new situations. So he doesn't have any qualms about going to get drinks him. But he does get terribly embarrassed and irritated when his youngest kin has to help him get home, because that's not dignified at all. ( ͡◡ ͜ʖ ͡◡)
Sorry for the ramble! This is just my personal headcanon, and where I've gotten it from. I of course respect any differences of opinion, because all interpretations are valid. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to gush about the silly little guys that have infested my brain ❤️

Ranking Lu Links on how good at lying they are, because why not:
Can not lie to save his live:
Wild, now hear me out. In his game he has to pretend to be a girl, right? Probably half of Gerudo town knows in the end of the game that he’s a boy. The one Hylian girl, Riju and (depending on how you play) the Gerudo guard (Berta i think?), the secret shop owner, etc. One woman asks him for his name (Molduga side quest) and he just says Link, he also says, in the noble canteen, that he’s 117 years old. Which is why what he does works, nobody believes him. He can show some guy the master sword and the guy will say, ‘nice replica’. Nobody believes him so he can make outlandish claims, which are actually true, but so weird that everybody thinks he’s joking.
Reluctant liars:
Wind, now Wind is great at telling stories and creating and telling stories is an important part of lying, so in a way he’s really good at it. However his grandma raised him to be a nice kid and every time he lies he feels really guilty. So he doesn’t lie very often, except maybe to make a story more interesting. (He also has a very expressive face that gives him away easily)
Warriors, as a solider he really isn’t supposed to lie or it could seriously harm someone. Withholding information? Maybe, to keep up morale. But not lying. (Haven’t played Hyrule Warriors so I’m not entirely sure about that one)
Twilight, in his wolf form he obtains some info which he has to explain away why he knows that and his sudden disappearances need to be explained as well. He isn’t great at lying though and isn’t really subtly about disappearing and probably half of the Chain already knows about Wolfie.
Sky, not entirely sure where to put him. He grew up in a social environment so he is capable of lying and I do think he’s better than Twilight or Wind but not quite enough for the next category.
Pretty good liars:
Legend, during his many adventures he learned how to lie, sometimes to progress in his quest, sometimes to get people of his back about hero stuff. Pretty straightforward.
Hyrule, thanks to he blood curse he learned to deceive people and basically always lie about not being the hero, which made him a pretty good liar. Though he didn’t really grew up with many people around so he doesn’t know some social stuff that would help him to be an even better liar.
S-tier liars:
Four, after his first quest he needed to explain why he knows stuff nobody told him (he either was there as a Minish or heard it from them) and after his second quest he needs to explain why he can be at multiple places at once. And probably has to constantly cover up the different colours fighting in his head.
Time, after and during OoT he needed to pretend that he didn’t know any of the people he meet as an adult. During Majora’s mask he needed to pretend to be Darmani and more difficult Mikau who still had an active social life. But he also needed to pretend that he didn’t know what people told him for the x time (like the guards or Anju). He also had to explain why he has certain items like the mask that looks like the Gorman brother’s faces, because if the troop leader doesn’t give it to him it’s kinda creepy. So yeah Time lied during his adventures a lot and became pretty good at it.

HollyTwist AU Ramble
There was supposed to be an amv to go with it but I haven't been able to work on it. This is also super loose because tbh I haven't reread PoT and OotS in a while so shhh.
First off some background information about Twist in this AU.
Twist is the youngest cat in Stripes' group making her the "little sister" of the bunch. Stripes, Flick, and Flora took her in after she was dumped by one of her former twolegs in their old territory. She's a pretty passive cat and would rather learn from other cats than be an antagonistic force.
However, the ladder is how Stripes' group tends to work. Twist has tried to persuade Stripes, Flick, and Flora to be more respectful of other cats but gets handwaved every time.
When the Rouges first attack the Tribe, Twist is almost seriously injured by Stormfur but is saved by Stripes, who later follows up with a heafty scolding. He tells her that her ideas of how to handle confrontation with outsides groups will get her killed and that she should harden herself if she wants to survive.
This leaves Twist feeling uncertain and scared of her future, but with Stripes, Flick, and Flora being the only family unit she's had, she's too afraid of being alone to leave and so she continues to follow the Rouges.
PART 1
This au starts during the events of Outcast when the gang leaves to help the Tribe. During a standoff with the Rogues, Hollypaw catches eyes with Twist and has the "we could have been friends" internal monologue. Over the course of the invasion into the Tribe's territory, Twist has been observing the Clan and Tribe cats as best she can and finds herself yearning for the sense of stability and companionship unique to these cats.
During the battle for Tribe territory, Twist finds herself battling Lionpaw. Like with Stormfur, Twist can't bring herself to hurt him and instead fights with her claws sheathed. Hollypaw notices this, but doesn't think about it until after the battle. She wonders if Twist didn't really want to fight Lionpaw and feels a bit sympathetic for her.
As if on cue, Lionpaw spots Twist poking out from a crack in the rock and before she can dart off Hollypaw and Lionpaw approach her. Lionpaw asks her why she didn't fight him with claws and she explains her feelings up until this point. Hollypaw thanks her for not hurting her brother and suggests coming back to Thunderclan with the clan cats. Twist jumps and the opportunity and Hollypaw talks to Squirrelflight who talks to Brambleclaw and Twist gets the okay to come follow the cats back to Thunderclan.
PART 2
Upon arriving back in Thunderclan, Firestar welcomes Twist with open arms as an apprentice of Thunderclan and gives her Brightheart as a mentor. At first, Twist, now Twistpaw, gets some push back from the more traditional warriors of Thunderclan. This stops after Leafpool stands up for Twistpaw by suggesting the unique lightning markings on her face are a sign she was meant to be in Thunderclan.
Twistpaw and Hollypaw bond while living and training together. At one point, Twistpaw gives Hollypaw a pair of holly leaves as a way of saying "thank you for giving me a chance". The two she-cats quickly develop crushes on each other and decide to become mates when they become warriors.
Twistpaw passes her training with flying colors and graduates to her warrior status along with Cinderpelt, Lionblaze, and Hollyleaf and gains her new name Twistflower. After the ceremony, Hollyleaf gifts Twistflower a yellow Begonia to congratulate her on becoming a warrior. Now mates, the two are glued to each others side through thick and thin for moons.
PART 3
One night, a storm catches Thunderclan camp on fire and in the chaos Twistflower is separated from Hollyleaf. After the fire dies down she sees Hollyleaf and her brothers clearly uneasy. Twist tries to comfort Hollyleaf and while Hollyleaf pretends that she's calmed down, Twistflower can clearly see she's still upset.
A Gathering passes and Ashfur is found dead. As the weeks go by, Twistflower can feel Hollyleaf distancing herself and in a state of constant unease. Multiple times Twistflower attempts to comfort Hollyleaf and convince her to open up only to be turned down every time.
When Hollyleaf finally breaks down under the knowledge of her heritage, Twistflower catches wind and seeks her out. She tries her best to comfort Hollyleaf to no avail and is troubled by what Hollyleaf says during this interaction but can't push it any further.
At the next Gathering, Hollyleaf reveals that Leafpool and Crowfeather are her parents and that Squirrelflight had lied to her clan. Twistflower is left in stunned silence and isn't able to talk to Hollyleaf until the next day, which Twistflower tries to talk to Hollyleaf again. However, it quickly decends into an argument and Hollyleaf storms off.
The next Twistflower hears of Hollyleaf she is devastated by the news of her assumed death from Lionblaze and Jayfeather. She realizes her last interaction with Hollyleaf was a bad arguement and feels guilty. Twistflower tries to stick with Lionblaze and Jayfeather in the meantime.
PART 4
Twistflower is able to continue on in the following moons. She works dilligantly for her clan to keep her mind off of Hollyleaf but still finds it difficult.
When Hollyleaf returns to Thunderclan Twistflower is beyond herself in happiness, but knows they need to talk about what took place moons prior. When the chance arrives, Twistflower appologizes for arguing with Hollyleaf before she ran away. Hollyleaf turns away the apology and reassures Twistflower that she wasn't responsible for any pain she had felt, and instead appologizes for pushing away and then lashing out at Twistflower when she was trying to help her.
Twistflower and Hollyleaf are able to make up and be mates again.
After this I always switch up wether or not Hollyleaf still dies in the Great Battle. Honestly I prefet not to because fuck that's hurt for Holly to die for real JUST after her and Twist make up smh. But on the other hand I'm a tradegy junkie so sometimes she's dead and other times she's alive in this au either one is "canon" to it.
