I’ve finally finished the chapter!!! :) now I can ask about it.
Tumblr media
I don’t know about you but I despise sandels. I would wack him upside the head too. They’re uncomfortable and make weird noises on the floor. They’re just really weird to me I guess. So I appreciate Hueso.
Tumblr media
I don’t know if she’s been talked about before in the fic but I assume the girl is Kendra. She always seemed to have a lollipop of some sort on her. I miss watching her and Donnies fights in the show. They were always really funny.
Tumblr media
I speak from experience when I say that this ^ is one of the most accurate descriptions I have ever read. When something traumatic happens people brains have a really cool function of forget, ignore/deactualize (is that a word?) or break down. From personal experience I understand the “I know this is really bad but it’s bad to the point of my brain giving up comprehending it and it simply doesn’t compute as anything worth my attention.” I don’t remember from my psych class last year what the name of it is, but I know theres a psychological name for it.
Tumblr media
If this is going where I hope it’s going, i’m really excited! Gale isn’t the type of person to see something like that and leave it be. So i’m excited to see what he does with the info.
Tumblr media
This made me want to cry. Thats all.
Love your work! Have a great day/evening/night. Can’t wait for the next update :)
Oh yeah, they are loud. I wasn't even really thinking about it from that direction, but Leo would absolutely be the dumb bitch who wore flipflops to a stealth mission.
Soup made a comment about him wearing socks with sandals and like-to confirm, Leo has the fashion sense of a dead shrimp and would totally wear socks with sandals. Both because he's just that bad at being gay and also to annoy Donnie. But in this particular instance Hueso wanted to make sure he was wearing good walking shoes so his feet wouldn't be sore at the end of the day. (and he's not going barefoot because wtf they're probably immune to HIV but don't go tempting fate here)
I actually very much prefer sandals. I went to college way up north and I would take my trash out in flipflops when it was like -30 out. (I was also very stupid, so don't do this)(not that you can, it doesn't get that cold anymore)
Anita's a Yokai, so no her granddaughter is not Kendra. The Purple Dragons will have another cameo (maybe get a mention in the recovery arc, we'll see) but since everything else has ballooned we just haven't gotten to them.
Which is honestly really funny to me, because Kendra clearly considers herself very important and probably makes the 'Othello Von Ryan's ARCH ENEMY' thing a point of pride. Meanwhile Donnie straight-up doesn't remember her and his brothers are like
Tumblr media
A lot of what Leo does is disassociate and compartmentalize, so he's very, very good at going "I know this is objectively horrific, but it also looks kind of sick. I kinda want to poke it with a stick."
Which is a very real and valid trauma response! Not everyone responds to shit the same way. For some people, turning off the 'holy shit' part of their brain or making light of it, that's literally their way of trying to process the thing. And it has its uses. It probably served Leo very well during the Krang war, when things went to shit and he was able to stay rational while everyone around him was panicking.
The problem being, of course, that Leo never unpacks that compartment and just lets it fester. So it just gets worse and worse until something finally rips it all free.
I think this was the first real Cass-Gale fight? Besides little arguments and teasings. I mean, they're siblings, and they're under a ton of stress right now. They're both ready to crack.
I considered having Cass storm off and ending it there, but I didn't really like that. Gale knows that he isn't really mad at Cass, and Cass knows that Gale was lashing out. They're both socially stupid but they know each other. At the end of the day, they'll always have each other's back.

Heyy amiga!! I know you may be busy writing other fictions at the moment, or maybe with some other stuff...idk. I also know that you may not need to read what I am going to suggest to you rn, BUT, I was just wondering if u you’ve ever considered writing something about jealous Sero? Y’know like the other part when he made reader chan jealous and she felt kinda helpless ? Maybe something where he feels like she's spending more time with some other guy or whatever, and he tries not to think much about it, then eventually he realizes that that possessive side of him is kicking in. Now I’m sure most people say he won’t be bothered by it because he trusts you and all that, but I’m sure there will be situations where he just loses it and goes like“I guess you’re having fun with that dude”
Maybe you’ve already started writing a new part of his series, but I still would like to know what you think of this humble idea lol.
I really apologize if this came at a bad timing. I understand if you ignore it🙏🏻

“Uraraka, did you watch the last night's episode –” Midoriya's voice trailed off in the dorm's living area. He paused as if he was interrupting an important conversation. Over his shoulder, Iida looked between the two of you and Ochako.
“You can join us, you know.” At your remark, the two boys grinned in relief. Iida sat rather gracefully on the couch while Midoriya sat down timidly. “There’s no need for you boys to look so scared whenever you see two girls talking to each other.”
“I don’t know about that,” Midoriya remarked meaningfully, “A girl is intimidating enough, a pair or a group would be domineering."
“Did you think we were gossiping about you?” You couldn’t help but tease as you nudged the boy sitting beside you.
The emerald eyed boy turned a shocking shade of red but he didn’t deny your words, “It wouldn't be that wild of a guess."
“Why?” You shared a look with Iida who paused his conversation with Ochako for a moment, his spectacles flashing and then his arm chopping resumed as he went on complaining about a couple of the boys' room during the inspection. Something about cluttered messes. “Do you want Ochako to talk about you?”
“What— uhh no— No! No— That would be— Umm no." Midoriya let out squawks and it made you roll your eyes out of fondness.
“It’s alright, Midoriya,” you leaned in closer to him and lowered your voice. Midoriya glanced secretly at Ochako who was busy talking to Iida who was writing down her suggestions on a notepad when he could've just typed it on his phone. Class rep is such a dork. Maybe that's why Gale¹ likes him. “We all know about your crush."
“That's— What— Crush? You mean like when you compress or squeeze forcefully so as to break, damage, or distort in shape?" Your freckled cheeks classmate spluttered, growing even more red as you patted his cheek in a patronising gesture. He squawks your last name in an attempt to be indignant.
“Oi,” the unmistakable voice of Sero called from behind you.
His eyes settled on Midoriya and you, lingering when they landed on the hand that was still pressed against Midoriya's cheek. You casually lowered it to your side and raised your own eyes at him in return.
“You know what,” Uraraka piped up, “Why don’t you go ahead, Sero? We'll have a quick chat.”
The tape quirk user hesitated, moved to the hallway before looking back at you, “Come and find me when you’ve finished talking to Uraraka.”
“Yeah, yeah.” You ushered him away, “I’ll come and find you.” Once Hanta had gone on his way you looked to the brunette and raised an eyebrow, “Ochako? What did you want to talk about?”
She fiddled with her flip phone that had been lying on her lap and set it aside. “Deku? Iida? Do you think you can give us some time alone?”
The two boys complied easily and went their own way to the kitchen. Deku promising to save some homemade castella, a soft jiggly sponge cake, (from Mrs. Midoriya) for Ochako.
When you and Ochako are left alone she leaned towards you. You couldn’t help but lean away from her slightly, becoming a little unnerved by her face brimming with excitement about what she's about to share. Eyeing her closely, you waited for whatever she was going to say.
“Have you noticed something about Sero?” she trailed off suggestively.
“Ochako, I spend about as much time with Sero as Kirishima does with Bakugou.” Kami, that statement couldn’t have been truer. Sometimes, even more so. “There’s nothing you can tell me about Sero that I don’t already know about him.”
“He has a habit of getting jealous,” she declared quietly although her hands are fanning her cheeks in excitement, “Sero has this habit of getting jealous whenever you get too close to a guy – just like he did when he walked in to see you with your hand on Deku's face.”
“Is this your way of telling me that I got too close to Midoriya?”
“Of course not,” she protested, shaking her head vigorously to assure you. "You always send Sero all those sappy looks , and the moments you act with him that it's easy to differentiate how platonic you are to everyone else versus how you are when you like someone."
“Hanta, jealous? You're thinking too much about it. He's not the jealous type." You shrugged, “And Hanta's pretty chill. Besides, I'm never close to a boy other than him."
---
Training for ultimate moves was something with Ectoplasm-sensei. Kami, figuring out how to execute salt golems in a fight was probably wack and you felt like you were at the end of your rope. With a sigh, you lie face down on the "kitchen" (the training lab Cementoss cook up/manipulate to suit the students' training needs) ground and let out a defeated smile at Ectoplasm.
"Your salt golem is nice and all, but they're basically meat shield. If you can't do anything more to them, then just focus on using pillars as your shield instead of wasting energy on your golems."
You propped your elbow up to raise a shaky thumbs up at your instructor as he moved to train with Ojiro who ended up being criticized too.
“That’s it,” you declared to your classmate as you watch him catch his breath, lying on the ground near you after he got beat down by Ectoplasm. “I am done – I can’t keep trying this. I'm done for the day. My salt golem is too complicated. Too fanciful to be useful."
"Lucky you. Ectoplasm basically said my moves were too plain. I'm too plain." Ojiro muttered under his breath; his blond fringes sticking on his forehead due to sweat.
“Nah, I think what he said wasn't about you being plain. He said it like how it is: the way you move your tail is predictable but you can make it flexible, then maybe you can helicopter whirl your tail or something." You cast a look around the training lab, your eyes landed on the Ectoplasm who was busy advicing Mina on how to shoot her acid farther than she initially did. You look at Tailman with an innocent smile and asked, “You wouldn’t tell anyone if i decided to slack off for the rest of the training? Ectoplasm-sensei is probably just going to check each one of us once and then let us be to train on our own.”
“You’ve got yourself a deal.”
You find the strength to sit up now, you looked at him curiously, “So what are we going to do for the rest of our time?"
Ojiro glanced away from you for a moment, bringing his tail up to rub at the back of his head in a nervous gesture. “They said you're the one to talk to if someone needs advice for... l– I think I like someone."
“Kami,” you muttered with a roll of your eyes, “Just because I'm in a relationship with Hanta doesn't mean I know shit about giving love advices to anyone. Honestly, I fumbled my way through my relationship with him. One moment I was single and next thing I knew, a trip to the clinic got me a boyfriend.”
“Oh. . .”
“But I do know about a certain Class B student whose mom is friends with my mom which basically means they're my emergency cousin.” You grinned when his expression grew more hopeful.
“How did you –” He sits up in surprise.
“Oh, please,” hitting his arm playfully, you leaned in closer to him, “Everyone in class A knows how your tail is a big indicator of your feelings."
“Tell me about it,” he muttered back as he too leaned in closer to you, lowering his voice as he continued to speak, “So, what do I do?”
“Are you asking how to confess or are you asking how to get closer to them?"
You glanced towards him, trying to gauge his reaction to your question but instead, your eyes settled onto a figure that appeared behind Ojiro, 20 paces away. Hanta meets your eyes and he flashes a smile at you. Ojiro, realising that you weren't following up your question, followed your eyes to discover Hanta’s fascination with the pair of you and him. No sooner than the moment he laid eyes on Hanta did Ojiro rolled away from you, giving you an apologetic smile after doing so.
“What?” you questioned, looking between the two boys and wondering what you had missed.
He gives you a slight shrug. Realising that his gesture was of little help, he added, “Sero was jealous, wasn't he?"
With a frown, you glanced at Hanta who raised his hand, thumb and index finger are crossed to form a heart shape which you happily returned with your own. You watch as he gets called by Ectoplasm so you look back at Ojiro, "Hanta's never jealous. He's not the type. Did you just see how goofy he was just now?"
He eyed you in disbelief, “Did you see how he was glaring at me just now?"
"He wasn't glaring at you," you defended. "He was staring. And usually when people get jealous they get sulky, and Hanta's never like that. He wasn't jealous. He was even being affectionate with the fingerhearts and all."
The training came to an end with you and Ojiro arguing over Hanta. Ojiro hurried out of the training lab, knowing that you had no intention of dropping the matter unless you got him to agree with you. You change out of your training suit in the changing room and walked out to see Hanta waiting for you to finish tidying up, he walked alongside you and out into the hall, holding hands with you.
“What were you and Mashirao talking about?” he asked curiously as you and him stepped out of the classroom. “You were talking really closely.”
You eyed him suspiciously, “You never get jealous, right Hanta?"
He peered down at you with a raised eyebrow. "And what makes you think that I never get jealous?"
You threw him a flat look which he ignored.
“Believe whatever you want to believe,” he muttered under his breath as you and Hanta stepped into 1A's classroom.
---
There was a sharp pinch to your knee, pulling you from your thoughts. Your eyes snapped up towards the boy sitting across from you and you frowned for him to see.
“What?”
Hanta gestured to his essay. It was 6:00 am in the morning, you're trying to help him out with his English essay by his class desk.
You narrowed your eyes at him, “This wouldn’t be an issue if you actually did the essay when you said you would.”
“At least you get to spend more time with me this way,” he said optimistically and you rolled your eyes, outstretching your hand for the essay.
Peering down at the paper, you muttered under your breath, “We already spend so much time together that I’m surprised there’s any more time we could spend together.”
“You love it really.” He pinched your knee again, this time much more gently and when you looked up at him he gave you an adorable smile. And then, he turned his attention to the open textbook in front of him. You couldn’t help but sigh as you watched him closely.
So, was Uraraka right? Was Ojiro right? That Hanta does get jealous but you just haven't figured out how he reacts when he gets jealous? Is it possible you lack awareness?
“Are you alright?” the question was asked gently as Hanta put his hand on top of yours, giving it a squeeze.
“It’s nothing,” you denied with a shake of your head. He was unconvinced and you tried to give him a reassuring smile, pushing the inner turmoil away. “Really, I’m fine.”
“You should know by now that just saying that won’t be enough to convince him,” Tokoyami, the raven head, said to announce his arrival as he is Hanta's desk neighbor.
You glanced curiously at him, seeing sprigs of grass stuck in his hair. He met your eyes inquisitively and you shook your head.
“You’ve got something stuck in your crest²,” you explained with a grin, reaching out to remove to grass from his hair. Tokoyami ducked his head down towards you to ease the action and apologized a little when he realised just how much grass was coming out of his feathers. He let out a little chuckle as you continued to pull the final pieces of grass from his hair.
Tokoyami cast a glance across his desk, looking over at Hanta and you found yourself doing the same. You have been surprised by stony look that you saw etched onto Hanta’s features or the frown pulling on his lips. Your hand hovered mid-air before you slowly lowered it to your side. You raised a brow at him, crossing your arms while pretending not to notice the amused look Tokoyami gave as he watched the show.
“Oh, I’m sorry,” Hanta apologised sardonically, “Is my staring getting in the way?"
“And?”
“And,” He repeated incredulously, “that’s all you can say? And? Fine – why don't you brush my hair like that?"
"What?" You can see Tokoyami's shoulders starts to shake as he suppressed his laughter. You cleared your throat. "Do you want me to brush your hair?" You searched his eyes, amusement making the corner of your lips curve upwards.
Yeah, confirmed. Hanta does get jealous.

AN: (1) Gale - Reader hero name in Iida povs
(2) crest - bird's head feathers.
I'm saving the makeout sesh for another ask. I'll probably edit this to add jealous Sero's pov. Also @vanilacaramel I don't mind the ask.
