I met up with someone in LA today and traffic on Saturdays is generally unpredictable. Sometimes it's fine, sometimes it's terrible for no goddamn reason. Today it was apparently the latter since instead of going the direct route, taking the 22 to the 405, google maps sent me on a route with an insane number of freeways:

22 -> 5 -> 91 -> 605 -> 105 -> 405

I genuinely think this is my new record for most freeways taken in a single trip lmao

If you're not familiar with SoCal and its maze of freeways, don't worry, this is the actual difference in practice:

This is the normal route, just the 22 to the 405

This is the route that traverses 6 different freeways lmao

BTW this alternate route still took at least an hour one way, so I can't even imagine how bad the traffic was on the 405 🤣
