First Day

Today’s session really did push me out of my comfort zone! The activity’s which Emily have us were very care free and silly, which I often struggle with around new people. Regardless, after a few games I believe to have really come out of my shell and engaged more with the group. The puppet interaction was also very interesting and I can see how it would be engaging for an audience. It also helped me to understand my own use of expression while telling stories; as so much effort goes into making the puppets have their own emotions.

The most rewarding aspect of the session for myself was when the play we had learnt translated itself into actual story telling. The engagement techniques we had been taught gave me new insight on how to keep children insterested in stories.

Feeling: Acomplished, enthusiastic and eager to continue
