#controversial take but spider is more na'vi than jake

Why do you think Jake is hypocritical with his opinion on spider, like Jane was once human to and deserves to be called out on his sickening behavior
this exactly. jake has been human, jake has been basically human in a na'vi world despite his body, and jake has been disabled.
spider is all 3; he is human in a na'vi world, raised na'vi (god dammit he was more then na'vi then jake was before he became the toruk), and he's disabled (he is stuck in a world that he is incompatible with, he cannot thrive without assistance, which is textbook definition of disability).
Jake has no right to treat him like an outsider as if A. he is any different than spider (he just had the government and a dead brother to get him a na'vi body) B. he had any choice in being stuck on pandora.
and spider fought, learned, and adapted seemingly on his own to fit into na'vi life, he has so much care and respect for the future, and he didn't barge his way in like some savior for a damsel in distress.
he was a kid, he's 16/17 when we see him in the movie, all of that mistreatment and neglect happened since he could walk. no kid deserves to be treated like and unwanted stray, no kid deserves to be treated like a literal animal.
its even worse when you realize how much of a struggle life already was for spider; he can't connect with his world, his Mother, he can't become a hunter or claim an ikran. he isn't proportional to his world, he can't breathe the air or eat half the food there. so not only was he neglected, but he was forced to adapt on his own to survive.
