I originally pronounced it Havy "Ha-vee," short for Javier. However, after a life-changing conversation with my friend @honkytonk-hangman a while ago, I now pronounce it like the Australian name Javy which is Jah-vee.

Wall Street May Be Pivoting Back From Blockchain To Bitcoin

It was an interesting move by the big bank, which has lately been heading more towards the world of cryptocurrency than away from it. Last year, J.P. Morgan announced its own blockchain-based payment system, JPM Coin, and is now also banking crypto exchanges Coinbase and Gemini.

So why would J.P. Morgan decide to jettison its blockchain tech now? My hunch is that it reflects a shift in priorities on Wall Street, where financial firms have lately put greater emphasis on trading businesses than software businesses—and building blockchains is, at its core, a software business.

The trend is a major reason why Catherine Coley, CEO of major crypto exchange Binance's U.S. arm, this week declared 2020 to “be the year cryptocurrency goes mainstream,” noting reports that finance heavyweights from PayPal to Goldman Sachs are more seriously exploring digital assets and crypto.

The friendly attitude towards digital currency is a far cry from the “Bitcoin Bad, Blockchain Good” tune that bank leaders (including J.P. Morgan CEO Jamie Dimon) were singing just three years ago. It’s not exactly surprising: Cryptocurrency, along with tech stocks—risk assets, as you might call them—are basically the best story to come out of 2020: they’re the only things that keep going up (well, besides COVID-19 cases).

As Coley points out, Bitcoin outperformed other winners including Apple, Amazon and Microsoft stocks, as well as real estate, over the past decade: “When the best performing asset doesn’t even exist in traditional banking models, banks get interested,” she writes in Fortune.

Yes, I did go a bit unhinged with the length of that mini series. Completly understandable if you never finished them. I have been considering doing a rewrite which would be more succinct, but I'm not sure when that would actually happen.

I am writing a third and final part to my little House We Share miniseries. I am hopping to have it done soon. I’m not going to give a firm date of when because I really struggle to meet deadlines and then I get overwhelmed and paralyzed and feel bad when I can’t meet them. Which leads to my mental health going bad. However, with that being said my goal is to have the final part be done before Christmas! 💕

A small smut snippit from that WIP below the cut!

The way  the crop bites into your skin doesn’t really hurt. Well, maybe it does a little bit, but it’s really more a firm reminder than anything else. Phoenix likes to do that with you, give you firm reminders that you don’t have to work against. Something to draw you back into the moment but not into panic. The crop was safe, she would first run it gently all over your skin any time it came out for play. Dragging it between your thighs up your chest a very small controlled smack to your nipple and one just above your collarbone before dragging it over your lips. Natasha uses the end to push up your chin making you meet her eyes. You whine at the forced loss from being able to stare at how beautiful and wet her clit looks edging out of her folds. With a small smirk she says, “Let’s find out how much you can take.”

I think maybe the anon jedi mind tricked me 🤔 I’m still getting better from my concussion. I tried to work on a puzzle at work and with in five minutes I got a headache and nauseous. Which was a huge bummer because as we know I love puzzles. However, I am getting better all the time.

I have seen a cute dog lately!!!! I actually see one everyday. His name is BoyScout. I am not someone who has ever been obsessed with my dog, but he is actually the cutest little sad old man.

BoyScout has a stunning smile and his favorite thing in the world to do is play fetch. He is 14 now and I’m starting to get stressed about figuring out his EagleScout community service project.

What was your favorite scene to write in House We Share??

Ahhhhh heheheheheheehehhehe. Thank you for this question dear. It gave me an excuse to go back and reread House We Share. While I have many criticisms of it now that I am a month done, there are also parts I really do adore. I'm sorry this got so long. 🤡

That scene in double tap where Jake is home on his lunch break. Was really special. It was important for me that we saw that Jake is funny and good humored. That he really cares about the reader and wants to make her laugh. There is somethign so personal to me about taxes. AND THE PUZZLE. ACTUALLY ALL OF DOUBLE TAP HAS MY HEART.

My favorite scene to write in Sfumato was actually Coyote's birthday party. It was a fun challenge to have these two so obviously in love but not let either of them say it. Jake especially, I knew he wasn't ready or able to say that he is in love yet, despite the fact that he already was. Thats where their problem on the stiars comes in because at this point Jake already knows that he would never settle for anything less than what he wants to call "making love" and definitely has to bite his tongue from laughing the first time he genuinely  says it out loud. In the original draft of this they actually sleep together, and then very next scene was morning after with early draft version of the final love confession that ended up being at the end of Good Comes in Three. So writing this scene into what it became it just had so much I enjoyed. I thoroughly enjoy writing Coyote and Marlee. I liked the little hint I gave about Jake's dad, and sugar defending Jake. THE TAXI DRIVE HAND HOLDING..... I loved that. It was so fun to write so many little details I think made that scene shine.

Good comes in three, well... it was outrageously long as well all know. So, it's not a shock how torn I was about my favorite part writing. While I very heavily thought it was the juniper stripping scene. Not me making an excuse to write about one of my special interests. In the end though it was the bathtub scene. GOD I YEARN. Jake on the brink of nurodivergent sort of melt down contending with the stressors of coming home. As well as Sugar's own months of anxiety and stress boiling into a PTSD attack. For them to be at their lows together, and confronting that. Also, there was something about writing nonsexual intimacy that I really enjoyed. As well as these two finally finally finally settling back towards each other instead of away.

Anyways, wow, this turned into a whole ramble. Meg, thank you for allowing me to talk about my fics, though. I really enjoyed it. The support and kindness people pay this little series honestly blows me away all the time. <3 <3 <3

Sorry it’s taken me so long, and I’m sorry to be bothering you again. But I told you I’d reread the whole series front to back when part 3 came out, I’m just 2 months late to the party and I apologize for that

I could tell when Jake first called the reader “my love” that things were changing. Every nerve in my body was vibrating with anticipation for what was to come. And the bed frame and dual table set just like Russell and Miss Celeste? Be still my beating heart 😭

I don’t think I realized how well they fit together until part 3. How Jake’s particularness is a turnoff for most people but the reader is happy to do that, or how Jake is always so soft and understanding when the reader gets triggered. Maybe they’ve always fit together so well, but I think they grew together and like you had said went full throttle with their relationship. Or at least after Jake came back from the shorter deployment and things went south. The culmination and stars aligning moment towards the end of the story made everything worth it. All of the miscommunications, and all of the words left unsaid because they were too scared or not ready. It was beautiful, thank you so much for allowing us to take this ride with you

And I know I don’t sound super emotional I just finished shedding tears from this story and I’m in full dissociation mode yay mental illness, but this is truly one of my favorite stories of all time. Thank you again 😭❤️

The bed frame and dual table set!!! Ahhh gosh. I’m so pleased that you enjoyed that. When I was writing the ending I was struggling to like any of the ways Jake confessed his feelings in across the different drafts. Then I came back to Russ and Celeste and the fact that they are probably the only example of genuine love that Jake saw in his life growing up so thats what he panicked and defaulted to. He was like 🤔🤔🤔 okay well miss Celeste made Pops a bed set and then they spent their lives together… the obvious reason is the bed set which I don’t have. 🤨💡

hello funny story. I was talking to this guy for a bit who went by one name (let’s say Jeff) and after a while he was like btw fyi Jeff is my middle name, that’s what I go by. But some people call me by my actual name. I was like, okay cool, what’s your first name. I won’t call you that but it would be good to know. He proceeds to tell me. And I am immediately no longer into him. Why? Because he has the same name as my father. And the thought of being with someone who has the same name as my dad? 🥴 the thought of potentially moaning that name? 🤮 anyway… have a great Friday!

Sorry for the late read/feedback, I wanted to save part 2 for when it could have my full attention! I had to reread part 1 so I could experience everything again fresh! And don’t doubt I’ll reread part 1 and 2 when part 3 comes out (no rush, if you’re even planning one). The tension, the misunderstandings, the way you write Jake…I am completely enthralled and dare I say I might have fallen in love with how you write him/this characterization of him. It’s written in such a way that it’s like he’s right in front of me, I could almost reach out and touch him.
