I have high expectations for Polin? And you?

sorry to be the downer here, but from a writing/character development/narrative perspective, i'm pretty sure my personal expectations for polin will not be met.

i think show polin will be really fun and romantic and the general audience and fandom will absolutely adore them. so if you're looking forward to girlboss/himbo and possessive/angry jealousy and colin not finding out about LW until the very last possible minute from someone other than penelope for max drama - then i hope you enjoy s3 and have an amazing time!

i just think personally they aren't gonna have any of the big aspects that made me love them in the books (they've already erased a major one, which is two characters maturing individually before being in the right time and space to fall in love with each other), so they're just gonna be another ship to me that had a lot of potential but wasn't executed well. (it doesn't help that while i do adore show penelope for all her mistakes and flaws and terrible decisions, the show just doesn't know how to write colin bridgerton, at all. and for me to love a ship wholeheartedly, i need to love and adore BOTH characters to the ends of the earth.)
